Screams were all that could be heard outside of the door of the nest of maggots. Screams. Then silence. And then the screaming would be heard again. The very sound would bring a chill down anyone's spine. The screams were painful, helpless. The victim could do nothing against whatever was causing them to scream in pain. It was extremely pitiful.
Inside the room, Himari was busy fighting her mind with what she was doing with said maggot. She has been working on said maggot for almost an hour, focusing on different pressure points on their body.
Now, she could be seen pressing her fingers between the pit of the maggot’s neck and jaw. It was a move she learned would attack the parotid lymph node. From the time, practice, and Yogen’s guidance she knew with the right amount of force and right hand movements, she would bring the man to his knees, screaming again.
This has been going on non-stop since Himari entered the maggots nest with Yogen. He had her train different pressure points on each of the maggots over and over again. Until she got it right.
And finally, after many tries, Himari learned a handle full of pressure points and what they did. And on top of that she also began to learn which ones she enjoyed using.
Himari recalled before they entered the Maggots nest, she followed closely behind Yogen. She didn’t trust the blond-haired man, but she felt more comfortable around him than Ochitsuki. And she was somewhat grateful that she didn’t have to be around the bloodthirsty psychopath any longer.
He led her down a torchlit passageway, somewhere underneath the second division barracks. Himari always knew some divisions had secret passageways. But, it seemed the second used them to their advantage. The Maggots nest being one of them.
She wasn’t shocked at Yogen’s surprise; she didn’t know what the Maggots nest was. She didn’t know many things she should have known. Which is why she was here in the first place. She wanted to be stronger, yes. But to get stronger she needed to learn more about the place around her. The place she wanted to get stronger for.
” To begin with, the Maggot’s Nest is a prison...of sorts. While it's called a prison, those inside are not technically criminals. Beings with too much power, or those with radical thoughts and ideas. Anyone that is considered a ‘dangerous element’ to the Seireitei is secretly taken away and locked away in the nest never to be seen again...well...usually never.”
She nodded. It made sense. The second division was the stealth force. They look for shinigami who broke the law. Or even could be a threat. She wasn’t surprised that they had this type of place.
” There are over four hundred pressure points, sometimes also referred to as acupuncture or meridian points. Targeting them can help to relieve pain, pressure, and aches, can paralyze, harm someone or enhance one’s self.”
As he spoke, the surroundings around them grew brighter. She’d quickly looked around, taking in the cells as they walked. Some filled with people, some filled with bones. Blood could be seen and other types of body liquids. And the smell was enough to make her want to push her hands to her face, but she pushed through it. She didn’t want to seem weak in front of this man. So, she went back to what he was talking about.
” As you know, all Shinigami or..rather all Souls within Soul Society that have access to their reiatsu have reiatsu vents that are located in the wrists. The Saketsu is located at the same place where one’s chain of fate would be along with the Hakusui, another point that acts as the source of one’s spiritual power, while the former serves to boost it. Those two points should be located in the same area for Arrancar by the way.”
She nodded, raising an eyebrow. She recalled thinking why was this so important? They were standing in the middle of a prison? What were pressure points and knowing about where Reistu points were located? She knew this, having wanted to master Kido. She had to learn about the Reistu points.
She was about to speak again, but he beat her to it.
There are a number of vital areas in the body. The eyes, the corner of the eye sockets, the inner ears, the throat, the carotid artery, the solar plexus, the stomach or bladder, the groin, of course, the heart as well-”
As he says this, he would open a door and walk inside. Anger filled Himari. Was he going to keep blabbering about pressure points and not tell her the reason why he brought her here? She remembered gripping her hands in fists but didn’t say anything still. Another door was opened, and Yogen then looked at her and motioned her to follow. She’d glare at him a moment before she moved to walk inside. And then she instantly stopped.
She recalled what made her stop. There, in the room, were three men. All of them kneeling to the ground. Their wrist was bonded, there’s eyes cast to the ground. Her mind instantly went back to the man she killed and she felt sick. Was she going to have to kill someone else? Could she handle that?
She would look around the large room, not wanting to look at the men any longer. But she knew she was going to have to face whatever Yogen threw at her. She was going to have to go against what she knew to get where she wanted to go.
” To be effective in this line of work, you should be familiar with the body. What to target, where to strike, where to cut, where to stab. So, we’re going to get a little practice in, using these three. Start with memorizing this chart a bit, then we will have you target a few pressure points on the first person, before gradually moving on to using the blades and such. Isn’t this nice? You move from being tortured to becoming the tormentor.”
She recalled he waved his hands towards the table where the chart he jad mentioned would be. She remembered her hands shaking when she finally realized what was happening. She was going to practice on living people… she was going to torture living people.
She was going to have to torture these men as she was. She was going to have to toy with these men. The very thought made her sick.
But
She remembered there was another part of her. The part that wanted to be feared. Wanted to be stronger and was excited for this. How else was she going to learn about where to attack if she didn’t know where? She had to know those things. So what’s better than practicing on a living, breathing, person? There was nothing better.
They could scream. They could whimper. She would be able to know right then what spots were best. Which were effective. And which were quick to use.
So, that’s how she was here. Her fingers dogged deep into a pressure point she knew that if she were to strike with her Zanpaktuo would kill this man.
And once again, the feeling of excitement filled her body.
