A good deal of time had passed since Himari’s unfortunate accident where her arms were severed during a training bout. She had swiftly been taken to Fourth Division and given the nature of her wounds she should have returned back to the division by now. This is a rather important matter as incidents like this tend to happen; they almost always are documented to ensure there was no malicious intent at play. Such a thing was introduced by Captain Oda after he learned about the unfortunate events at Seventh Division. To prevent a repeat of this from happening at his Division a regulation was put in place to keep track of individuals involved in unsanctioned/unsupervised sparring sessions along with placing them on a list of suspicious individuals should the spar result in an "accidental" death, though the individuals involved know nothing about this list. This rule is especially enforced when other Divisions are involved in such events.
With the Captain and Lt training with the Captain Commander, the Third Seat in critical condition and in a life saving surgery and Kiku locking himself away to study Kido only one person was left to bring this issue to, Fifth Seat Jizakai Ametsuchi. The Priestess approached the man who seemed like he had just finished some sort of intense training. Her guards followed behind her yet at the ready to defend her should Fifth Seat Ametsuchi react violently to their sudden arrival.
”Fifth Seat Ametsuchi, there is a task we need you to investigate. Earlier today Lt. Katsuo Oda of the Thirteenth Division arrived to spar with our Fourth Seat Himari Shimizu. During said spar Shimizu-san lost both of her arms and was taken away to Fourth Division for treatment. She should have returned by now and we have heard no word from her or Lt. Oda regarding this situation. If you could, please venture to Fourth Division and inquire about this to confirm if the two actually arrived there for treatment.”
She spoke in a direct matter of fact way, ensuring there was no confusion in her word choice. To be addressed directly by a Priestess of the Kido Corps was no small thing to overlook, when their Chief is away a burden is placed upon their shoulders to uphold the laws and regulations he set into place, as she is doing now. What she tells to the Fifth Seat is not an order, but a request to follow through on the rules and regulations established by Captain Oda. She waits silently for his response which she hopes is a positive one.

Countless souls had crossed his senses in these minutes, he could see and hear them as though he were right next to him. It continued to fuel his excitement despite knowing that he couldn’t be entirely focused on this win of his, there was no helping it however. All these people he had never met or likely would never have met become known to him. Countless times in this trip back to his barracks he thinks to himself, ”This is amazing! It’s like I was blind or somethin’ before.” Still far beyond his barracks, the concentrated Reiryoku and Reiatsu that surround the barracks become clear as day to him. Where once he felt only his own presence, as though he were a shadow blotting out the light, he now peers beyond his Reiryoku and Reiatsu and takes in the fuel that heats the forges and shapes the metals within, the efforts of those at work. One soul however seems to be far more engrossed and in turn giving his craft an effort that seems unmatched within the Eighth Division barracks, of course, Nibui would be called to answer this intrigue.
With his interest piqued, he reaches the barracks and beelines his way towards the forges, seeking out that single Shinigami. Of course, it wouldn’t take long to find this burning soul. The door leading to the room where he works is left ajar, and so Nibui peeks his head in to watch over what is happening only to see and hear a sweat drenched Shinigami bathing a blade into a quenching bucket, a familiar sound filling the room instantly.
Hissssss.
The steam plume that escaped the bucket acting as clear indicator of just how far this man had taken it. Creating what can only be described as a sauna out of the room, the steam fills the area and eventually escapes through the open door. Nibui who watches on, while believing himself to be unseen and unheard, is likely not to be as stealthy as he hopes, forgetting for a moment that the Reiryoku within him leaves him as a beacon to be seen and felt by all, something beyond his own control even in his current state. Stepping into the boundaries of the room, Nibui rests his back against the door. A hand still clutching onto his own Zanpakuto and simply watching the Shinigami do his work, entranced by the effort being given to his craft and completely unaware of the reality and trials that the man is attempting to overcome, one that is perhaps very similar to his own issues with his own Zanpakuto. Eventually however, Nibui would not be able to contain his words, either he would speak first of the man would take note of him first.
"That's a lot of effort for a sword, make sure you don't burn yourself out that way.
While his words came from a place of concern for this stranger, they are likely to be percieved as perhaps degrading. In his mind it didn't cross him that the man would be working on a Zanpakuto and much less his own, attempting to establish a deeply desired connection. Nibui himself had not yet worked on such a thing. His crafts were more focused on mundane items, weapons and other forms of metalworks that would not require a masters touch. His initial efforts had left a scarred impression of him on the veterans of the Eighth Division, leaving no more than dust and shattered works in his wake, forced to start from beyond the bottom of what seemed like an infinite ocean.

Amongst all, his Zanpakuto could be considered the fastest. Using its raw speed, Arashi is able to contest the area around the Captain Commander and shield him from view. Even if the trio’s eyes could not see, Arashi could feel it. Every strike, every blow, they land with ferocity and killing intent, but the durability, the natural defense the Commander holds exceeds the nimble and flamboyant assault of Hoshizora. Each particle ricochets from his hulking frame, sent back into the battlefield, only to float once again, only to mask itself within the light once more. His expression is eclipsed by his Hollowfication with no change in his stature as he stands upon the light-based platform. He seems rather calm as if he expected his attack to amount to entirely nothing.
Though the Goliath had already retaliated, or rather his Shikai acting autonomously in response to Captain Oda’s Shikai. Shards fly from an explosion, just before their erasure, Arashi will have to defend himself before attacking once again… Still no change in stature, he stands with the hilt of his Zanpakuto still in hand. Captain Oda, extends his efforts further, even going so far as to move from his location in order to keep the Titan in his sight. In the meantime, Captain Yugure remains beneath them. With the incoming projectiles fueled by the Commanders' own spiritual power they hone in on Arashi’s locale, but despite such force, Arashi speaks.
” Bakudo 81, Danku.”
” Bakudo 81, Danku.”

A rectangular translucent wall erects itself before the Hollowfied light user. Just before the numerous projectiles can reach him. They crash, halted by the powerful Kido spell, however, Arashi knew better than to stand idly by. Like his Captain, he moves with the use of Shunpo. Upon his second step that propels him into yet another immediate Shunpo, Lieutenant Suta removes his mask, to conserve his power. He also mutters under his breath another Kido spell.
” Bakudo 26, Kyokko.”
The spell that hides one’s physical form and Reiatsu in-kind, its effects extend farther than just his general area. His control over Kido in these past hundred years has improved, and while he has not learned any additional spells, his proficiency in the ones he already knows has grown exponentially. Kyokko being one of his favorites, and it compliments his light-based Shikai. Using his Shikai as a powerful catalyst, the spell Kyokko can now hide his Reiatsu no matter his position, and in tow keeps him completely invisible even while he is moving. However, to the Commander, it would be nigh impossible to discern his location. Unable to tell whether Arashi is moving, standing still, if he remained in the air, or came to the ground, even his homing projectiles find it impossible to track him. It would seem as though he has disappeared entirely, from both his comrades and his opponent. While Arashi is clearly the weakest of the three, the Commander knew better than to underestimate Arashi Suta, and his tricks and current tactics can spell trouble in mere moments, or with his speed, seconds…
However, Captain Oda, begins his own plans, delving into spells of his own creations, truly displaying his mastery of Kido even after all these years. He has not lost his focus, his skill, and by now, his proficiency has likely surpassed any within the Seireitei. Arashi watches from wherever he may be, he looks for a chance for himself and his comrades. He looks to aid them in their tactics, and from what he can tell, The Captain Commander has entered into a trap, set by Captain Oda, using his own comrade, Captain Yugure to dish it out. Arashi learns, even now.

Silence filled the room as Jiro had been surrounded by members of the Fifth Division knowing that his arrival would raise some questions, such as where had he been in the absence for a hundred years. A drop of sweat had appeared on the forehead before the tension in the room had increased in which caused him to sweat even more, almost as if he was dying inside. One could tell his face had become pale in presence of the blade nearing his face, retaining the same ol' personality he once had in his times at Soul Society. Though something had changed about him, that cannot be overlooked as he was deeply still affected by the death of his close friends.

In his mind, a familiar personage of anxiety can be seen frequently jumping from one place to another, with tears pouring down his face as he waved his hands all over. "Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. Am I going to die? or am I going to the Maggot's nest, or am I being executed?!" he thought. Though in reality, he maintained a cool composure though what had given it away was that when someone looked close; the legs and arms appear to be shaken in fear as he is being escorted to a cell that is specialized to hold those with mysterious or unmeasured power, though in his case he hasn't changed a bit in terms of energy or abilities. This is the truth, he didn't gain anything as his zanpakuto refused to work with him for a hundred years, which had sabotaged his ability to return as his luck often got siphoned by the spirit, often results in him misplacing the Zanpakuto before he could even use its abilities. If there were some change it was how Jiro interacts with the Zanpakuto spirit, as he often threw tantrums or undergo meltdowns in their Inner World where the Zanpakuto Spirit often ignores. At the same time, he may have gotten some experience of how to getting by without an unwillingly Zanpakuto in the World of the Living.
As it appears that it was just him in the cell he released his composure or at least a fragile one as he grasped his collar in fear for what may come for him at the behest of Captain Oda.

The Head Lieutenant leans in, adjusting her position in order to provide Kasu with a clear answer. With no change in Kasu’s positioning, nor her expression, the air around would soon begin to shift, and the Head Lieutenant’s next words would make all too real.
” My goal..is to overthrow Captain Kagayaki from his position and to flood the First Division’s halls with blood.”
Gyararī gasps, astounded by her response, but not Kasu, and while she did not expect such a response, she is far too experienced, far too seasoned to be shaken by words she may or may not have meant… Though, if this is the route she wished to take, this conversation will be short-lived and so would their blooming relationship.
” This skimpy little brat! How about we paint the walls with her blood! Hang her organs as decorations! Sprinkle her bones over the garden at her grave! Yeeessss, the art she speaks, ours will surpass her own. HMPH!”
Her dark and twisted Zanpakuto speaks uncharacteristically, clearly rattled by the Head Lieutenant’s response. However, he is blatantly ignored, pushed to the side even though his words can only be registered by Kasu.
” Afterwards… Perhaps I’ll let Hibiki-kotsu have a field day with you, Kasu-san. Is that perhaps the answer you were trying to hear or was that a bit too over the top?”
Whether her threat proved to be serious or meaningless, Kasu still sits as she is. She exerts no amount of spiritual energy, and she responds with no malicious or defensive attempts. Did the young Head Lieutenant not scare her? Did Kasu view her as nothing but a child, cuddled by the past indifferences her old Squadmates would give her? Right now, it is impossible to tell, impossible to discern whether or not Kasu viewed her as a threat or simply a young woman trying to assert her dominance in new territory when her dominance is already displayed by her rank, her superiority…
The room darkened, as her emotionless eyes shined strongly. Haunting, her Zanpkuto rattles against the wall, complimenting this sense of fear she wishes to make clear to Kasu, but still, she remains as was before this. Their eyes locked on each other, both just as emotionless, just as empty. Soon the silence is broken, where every word her superior spoke will not be neglected and understood down to every detail…
” You'll have to forgive me, my mind and thoughts can be a rather dark place at times, so perhaps my sense of humor has taken a toll because of it. As for my goals, I live to make sure there is balance and order within the Soul Society and that every division does the same. If one fails and trails off the path of a shinigami..we have the Second division to make sure that individual meets their end...if there is a disturbance and chaos in the world of the living we have Divisions to straighten that out. The first division is here to make sure there is balance and order, we do not question our own members, we simply do our job until the day we die. Those that come after us will take over the task, and in doing so will be expected to fulfill the same duties.”
” Now, for me personally I am here to make sure the Commander has a clear mind and knows what has to be done. I am here to aid him in making and enforcing his decisions. I'll make sure that the first division’s respect is maintained and that we continue to be a staple within the Gotei 13 and that our enemies tremble at the prospect of daring to face or challenge us. I don't need you to act as an assistant but as a weapon. What I need, Kasu, is for you to be a sword that executes our foes and protects the innocent and the less fortunate who cannot fight on their own.”

The goal is clear, it is understood and while the Head Lieutenant looks to reassure herself that Kasu is indeed listening and paying attention, she’d also needed to realize that everything she mentioned now is expected, but still, she had Kasu’s full attention even before the moment she was invited to take a seat.
Eventually, light returns to the room with the subsiding clouds. The rattling of her Zapankuto cease entirely and the out-of-character Lieutenant returns to her natural state. Through her eyes alone, where she wished to display a sense of dominance, she equally wanted to show Kasu that she wasn’t weak, that no one would walk over her, doubting her skills both mentally and physically. Kasu understands now…
” If..you don't have any more questions then do go about your day Kasu-san.. Don't take anything said or done before as a threat because I am not your enemy. While I am not your enemy, I am your superior, do keep that in mind. If you wish to conduct interviews...well, we have a Division for that.”
In response, a genuine smile is given to the Head Lieutenant. With no more questions to think of, whether she wished to continue the conversation or not, she could indeed leave with a better understanding of Fuyuko's mindset, her goals, her attempt to stray away from being seen as weak or incapable, however small that may have been. Once her eyes fell from Kasu’s gaze and located themselves to her previous activity, Kasu moved from her position, left her seat, and made her way to the door without a sound, but before she’d passed the threshold, she turned back and bows to the Head Lieutenant.
” I am at your beckon call, Head Lieutenant, do be well.”
Her departure was just as silent, gone by the use of flash-step, leaving the Head Lieutenant to her own devices.
