Some time ago........
"Yes, I am on the way now as we speak. We shall continue with the meeting as planned. Be there in twenty minutes."
He said while speaking towards the screen installed in the back of the vehicle; he seems to be sitting in. The individual on said screen was a female with locks of curly long flowing dark citrus color hair, falling in a cascade of curls on her shapely shoulders. Her face was ashen, triangular with a slightly receded chin. Her eyes were cold and sparkling with a remarkable violet penetrating gaze. A mole on the left side of her cheek, she dons this dainty look about her, those very eyes also concealed wisdom and imperiousness. Her nose was slightly long, and her mouth was pale with thin and slightly crooked, soft, sweet with lipstick, proud lips. This elegant woman had pronounced cheekbones, natural, somewhat irregular eyebrows trimmed by hand and emphasized with citrus, long eyelashes. Her top was that of a white flowy, button blouson sleeve top that wows with a versatile hue and breezy fabric. With the kind of shirt she has on, it is easy to discern her large breasts.
"Ok Mister Kimura. I'll be sure to let the others know you are running late, again."
The screen cut out from visual where now it was nothing more than a blank screen. Kaguya would be okay to deal with the meeting regardless if he is there or not. In the meantime, Asterion was driving the vehicle while Mikoto sat in the backseat flipping through files he received through a folder. What happened to just emailing documents? It was genuinely bothersome, but it is something he shall deal with for now. Mikoto Kimura skin was that of coffee-colored with indigo pupils; his eyes are taking a tapered oval shape in nature. Mikoto has long black eyelashes, overall forming a thin and slanted shape. Mikoto's hair is luscious, colored a deep-sea blue. A signature hair tone on his mothers' side of the family. Mikoto's hair does not go past his forehead unless he kept it wild like, yet he still looks charming and dangerous at the same time. Also, his hair is not as oily as others. The hair seemingly has a thin coat of oil over it, styled into a slick back pompadour. Mikoto's facial structure is sharp, not degraded by straight angles, and has a muscular frame. With a visible forehead, pointed nose, slender ovaline eyes with narrow eyebrows, and a harsh jawline. Mikoto's lips are barely noticeable, only able to be seen when he does not dawn his standard impartial expression. Especially when he adorns his 'poker face.' Mikoto is known to have a healthy and rigid posture and uses that to his advantage. On a typical day, he usually wears an all-black suit, vest, and shoes. Inside the two-button suit jacket is a golden color theme which the same goes with his tie to match, and a pin attached to the center. He is wearing a pair of dark aviator glasses. To top off this elegant snazzy attire is that he wears a long white scarf around the neck. He is letting it dangle down both shoulders, the length of this scarf reaches down to his pelvis. The only other accessories he had on him were a watch and a PDA.
"You seem to enjoy being late Master Kimura."
Asterion said while driving the car
"Well, there is an immeasurable distance between late and too late, Asterion." he would have replied.
During this entire ride towards the destination, it was never Mikoto's intention to go straight to where he had been planning to go. He headed towards the signature of a hollow he sensed long ago, but he was in no hurry to get to its location precisely, one of the reasons being was that a shinigami was already in the area. Whoever was there seem to be dealing with it, but it was never Mikoto's aim to allow the shinigami to do it alone or let him take on a hollow by themselves. He prefers to deals with these issues himself, but with a shinigami in the area, he didn't wish to handle these matters in this facade, for it draws too much attention. With his spiritual presence being obscured by his own doing so, no one, not even a master of the ability to sense, could detect him being near unless he wanted it so. Himself and Asterion drove to the designated area. Before even reaching that part of the city, one side of a building that was about half a mile out suddenly destroyed; a hole in the wall of the building appeared. Though it wasn't an unexplained disaster, he saw someone go flying into it. Asterion sped up to get closer, which only took less than 2 minutes to get a closer distance to the fighting.
With that, Mikoto had Asterion parked into an alleyway so he could step out of the car. Asterion, of course, would step out but won't partake in Mikoto's actions despite Asterion more than capable and experienced than Mikoto. It was with great interest that Asterion doesn't interfere at all at any point unless he was need it to step in. At this time, Mikoto had just arrived on foot about two blocks away from the building; the two individuals decided to settle this encounter. Police were also coming to hold off the streets, block off the area from civilians. Peering from around the building, Mikoto saw how people were exiting the building — running out in fear, screaming for help, panicking. But someone was stuck on the third floor, a man banging against the glass window. There was nothing but an explosion after explosion. The glass itself broke from him hitting on it, which resulted in him falling through the now broken window. Mikoto had immediately acted by performing a high-speed motion where this luminous green light expanded outwards from the heel. It propelled Mikoto into the air, where he reached the cops cruiser with one foot and bounced off of the hood itself with slight help of his bringer light again. By this time, the male was falling between the second and first floor. As Mikoto leap off the hood of the cop's vehicle with a small portion of his bringer light, it was only enough to give him a bit more of a
"push". The black jacket and scarf flew off his body and landed on one of the officers watching helplessly. Mikoto manages not only to reach the man but catching him in the process in mid-air, leaving the bystanders at awe of his impossible feat with his jump. Mikoto allowed them to see him jump from the hood so that it would seem he had a reason for being there. Plus, no one would question his ability to jump that high. To make sure that he doesn't do something that would raise too much of an eyebrow, Mikoto didn't accurately perform the perfect landing perse. Instead of that, he purposely allowed himself to hit the ground shoulder first and went into a sliding motion for a moment and then rolling an extra feet until coming to a stop.
It wasn't his intention to do anything, but he couldn't allow this person to suffer from someone else's inconsiderate actions. It was because of that he despises hollows and even shinigami for this reason. Destroying the city is one thing, but it's another when the innocence suffers for their lack of
"protection" causes people to hurt or die. Sure Mikoto protects the city from petty crimes in the city. Even when it comes to fighting unknown threats that humans aren't aware of seeing spirits, he tries to fight in places that aren't endangering a lot of people if he could help it. A weakness of his, but a fault he tries to eliminate as possible. Mikoto is aware he can't save everyone, but he won't sit by allowing anyone to suffer like his parents did. Though they died, there was one thing that always crosses his mind. It bugs him every day, something even Asterion could never share with Mikoto only that he told Mikoto when the time comes; he will share. But Mikoto wonders if his parents could fight why they never try protecting the city? Why have they never use their powers for the greater good? A question that stirs his mind since he was but a young boy.
At any case, Mikoto manages to save the civilian from severe injuries or worst, death. The cops and ambulances come running over to help them both up. Time for the facade to surface for the public; a smile ran across his face as the man thanked him for saving him. He was in good hands with the medics. All the cops were thankful, but the worst of it seems to die down, but then something happened next. Mikoto help the man to the medics but then quickly ran into the building. They were still fighting, but someone else also appeared. That is when Mikoto made his way to the next floor, and once he arrived, he saw just as he suspected. Two shinigami, one severely injured it seems though, of course, with Mikoto's spiritual presence still concealed, so he wasn't able to be detected. He watched from around the corner of the building and saw the woman fend off the hollow while trying to save her comrade.
He was there to not only watch them, but in case neither of them failed to do their job, he was going to step in. Had they died in the process of fighting, it wouldn't bother him one bit whoever or whatever they came from would send more, right? Without a moment to waste, they both left flee into this portal or sorts while leaving the monster behind. Typical. He was going to intervene to finish this hollow off. But this woman, she performs a technique that he couldn't quite see, but the white mask creature was going crazy then died by some unknown means. Mikoto didn't have to do a thing after all. After it was all said and done, Mikoto went to inspect the area where the two shinigami left. Hopefully, there was something there was left behind. Nothing, but the dented wall, the blades, blood, and spiritual presence they left behind. The main thing was, what was the door they went through? His hand stretched outwards to where he believes the entrance had been located, but there was nothing. He came up empty, nothing he could use here, but it was intriguing how they were able to escape and disappear — no trace of their spiritual energy anywhere. The sound of people coming up the steps just down the hall interrupting his moment to conduct more studies. The cops came up and saw Mikoto standing there, guns drawn while firefighters also came to the scene.
"Oh Mr. Kimura, what are you-." The officer cut off by Mikoto before he could speak anything.
"Sorry officer, I couldn't help but wonder if someone else was in here trouble. Forgive me if I overstepped." Mikoto spoke with a smile.
"No, Mr. Kimura, it's quite alright. Though I will ask if you can leave the scene, it isn't safe here, plus I would hate it if the chief finds a respected civilian at the scene of a terrorist attack. Oh, here's you're jacket and scarf." the officer stated while passing over the jacket to Mr. Kimura.
Mikoto quickly left, escorted by one of the firefighters for his safety, Mikoto walked out of the building. News reporters everywhere trying to get the scoop on what happened. Thankfully, they were being kept at bay by the barriers placed up by the police. It was only then Asterion was allowed to pull in and let Mikoto get inside of the car.
Currently
Mikoto did not go home; in fact, he made sure he called Kaguya to let them know he wouldn't make it to the office. Instead, he was on his way home; by this time, the recent events that occur would be all over the news at this point. Of course, Mikoto wasn't genuinely interested in watching. However, he planned for one more stop before heading home, which he wanted some flowers for a personal reason. He had Asterion pulled up to a flower shop called
Hanaben, a respectable business that he usually visits on certain occasions. Once exiting the car, Mikoto would slip on his suit jacket he wore earlier today, he also had a new fresh white button-up shirt, the one before was damaged by the sleeve from saving the civilian. Thankfully, the car had a compartment inside where it houses many extra clothing and condiments Mikoto may need.
Upon slipping on his jacket Asterion and himself entered the store where it was Asterion who held the door open for his Master — allowing Mikoto to enter the establishment, but what could Mikoto possibly use flowers for or give them too? Not many would remember or care to remember, but tomorrow is the anniversary of his parent's death. He usually buys them flowers every year from the shop since it was always closer, much like anywhere else. Mikoto was a well valued and respectable customer for this establishment. Now then he leaves donations for their flowers since it has always been stated in Japan how different flowers have a meaning to them. When walking in the bell sounded his arrival, and behind the counter to his left would be an enormous amount of flowers, roses to be specific. It had a combination of red and pink. He noticed a customer had just left with a boy who rushed out in a hurry. Of course, still wearing that disguised, Mikoto smiled at the young boy who ran out for whatever reason. In particular, it doesn't appear he stolen anything, but he seems to be in a hurry.
"Konnichiwa Ms. Diamante. How are things? And who was that young boy just now?" he asked but noticed a piece of paper in hand and her rosy red cheeks.
"Oh, I see, it is a love letter?" he asked, teasing her and waiting for her to respond, possibly in a childish girly way as all young girls do.
