Before he could do anything to remove himself from the blades, Lieutenant Kasumi had begun pressing into his wound. A wincing expression strikes fast! However, the stinging sensation did not seem to show for long, his high tolerance still being relevant even now, so when she looked at him with a gaze that hoped to help him push through the pain, she would only fine in that brief moment a smile and nearly closed eyes. He did not seem to be in any pain, but in fact, he wasn't allowing the pain to get the better of him; physically and/or mentally!
Her Bankai in affect, the display of it, fascinated him somewhat. Leaving the rest to her, he re-called his Shikai, the Zanpakuto returning to its sealed state... There was nothing more that he could do at this point honestly, but even so, he would try anyway, should the Hollow still be at large. Though this wasn't the case at all, the Hollow's frantic actions and yelling truly showed his fear and lack of ability to fight the Lieutenant's Bankai! Even from Arashi's current position and predicament, the battle is over alas, he could tell this at least! He glanced towards Lieutenant Kasumi when she started to reply to his last statement about making sure that the Hollow was taking care of before they simply just left. She decided to wait, but once the hand of death touched the Hollow then they would leave just as quick as she arrived.
"Understood..."
He did not mind the look she gave. There is complete understanding on his part, deep down, he is just happen that someone came along to assist him, well, save him in all actuality. It wasn't long before the Hollow had taken it's final breath, Lieutenant Kasumi's Bankai taking its life with one move. Noticing this, he could help but think of how his first action should've been to kill the Hollow rather than wound... Losing the element of surprise and it nearly cost him his life and even now, he hasn't heard a word from Hoshizora, even after being returned to her sealed state.
Being ripped from the blades and taken via shunpo at the hands of the Lieutenant, both of them were able to see their way through the Senkaimon as it closed and now they were on their way back to the Soul Society... Traveling along side her, since his feet were not broken, he took the liberty to sheath his Zanpakuto and keep his left arm in place with his right hand at the shoulder. It is likely that she still kept pressure to one of his wounds.
"Thank you, Lieutenant."

“Breathe, or you’ll miss your mark.”

"Hello, Yōkoso!”
Bells rang and sounded a patron walking through the glass doors of a flower shop called Hanaben. Behind the counter and a massive amount of roses, nearly two dozen mixed in between reds and pinks. After the initial greeting, the tinkling sound of laughter followed and caused the florist to peek from behind the large arrangement and found herself face-to-face with a regular customer.
“Oh, Tenshu I see you’re as busy as ever. Is my order ready?”
With a smile, the young florist gave the nod and carried the two vases filled with roses and moved them to a separate table before returning with a bouquet of pink carnations, tied neatly against one another and leveled evenly for balanced growth all around. In this bunch, there were approximately three dozen. It was a hefty bunch for such a small lady, but outside, the florist could see a young man sitting by the trunk of the car until he was needed to come in.
"Yes, Reina-san. Three dozen carnations, as you requested. You miss them, don’t you?”
“Yes… My family was the world, and that boy out there was their biggest fan. If you were wondering, he’s not our kin but has lived knowing us all his life. He’s like the grandchild to me, Miss Blume.”
Blume Diamante was very familiar with what had happened with the woman before her. Humans went through endless hardships, and even though the worst, they still managed to live on as if the dead still existed. She couldn’t do much but offer a smile. However, there was a sensation that caused her to jerk away. The woman had touched her hand, and Blume couldn’t stop the redness in her cheeks from showing out of embarrassment.
The older woman looked shocked, but it was quickly replaced with a smile and a small laugh.
“Ah, yurushite. It was a habit. My boy used to have that same sad look, so that’s how I used to comfort him.”
Giving a nod of understanding, Blume rested her gloved hands on the back of Reina’s hand and gave it a gentle rub, earning yet another one of those tinkling laughs that sounded like soft chimes. After a few more exchanges, soon enough, the boy outside came inside to help Reina carry the bouquets out to the car. For the payment, he ran inside and slammed the bills on the counter attached to a piece of paper and ran back out in a flash. Confused by the display, Blume could only wonder what exactly all that was about until she read the article attached to the money.
Illustration385.png

A confession, and despite not even having a single conversation other than exchanging greetings, he gathered the courage to tell her. Blume couldn’t help but blush, but she could not reciprocate his feelings and stashed away the note with the rest of them. With a heavy sigh, she lowered her head down to the counter and took a seat. It wasn’t a necessarily slow day, but it wasn’t as busy as most. The day was still lively, and the sun that shone through the top of the greenhouse basked her in warmth.
“Ich bin schläfrig.”

Some time ago........
98635bf3b7a645407f859551e1820d80.png

"Yes, I am on the way now as we speak. We shall continue with the meeting as planned. Be there in twenty minutes."
He said while speaking towards the screen installed in the back of the vehicle; he seems to be sitting in. The individual on said screen was a female with locks of curly long flowing dark citrus color hair, falling in a cascade of curls on her shapely shoulders. Her face was ashen, triangular with a slightly receded chin. Her eyes were cold and sparkling with a remarkable violet penetrating gaze. A mole on the left side of her cheek, she dons this dainty look about her, those very eyes also concealed wisdom and imperiousness. Her nose was slightly long, and her mouth was pale with thin and slightly crooked, soft, sweet with lipstick, proud lips. This elegant woman had pronounced cheekbones, natural, somewhat irregular eyebrows trimmed by hand and emphasized with citrus, long eyelashes. Her top was that of a white flowy, button blouson sleeve top that wows with a versatile hue and breezy fabric. With the kind of shirt she has on, it is easy to discern her large breasts.
"Ok Mister Kimura. I'll be sure to let the others know you are running late, again."
The screen cut out from visual where now it was nothing more than a blank screen. Kaguya would be okay to deal with the meeting regardless if he is there or not. In the meantime, Asterion was driving the vehicle while Mikoto sat in the backseat flipping through files he received through a folder. What happened to just emailing documents? It was genuinely bothersome, but it is something he shall deal with for now. Mikoto Kimura skin was that of coffee-colored with indigo pupils; his eyes are taking a tapered oval shape in nature. Mikoto has long black eyelashes, overall forming a thin and slanted shape. Mikoto's hair is luscious, colored a deep-sea blue. A signature hair tone on his mothers' side of the family. Mikoto's hair does not go past his forehead unless he kept it wild like, yet he still looks charming and dangerous at the same time. Also, his hair is not as oily as others. The hair seemingly has a thin coat of oil over it, styled into a slick back pompadour. Mikoto's facial structure is sharp, not degraded by straight angles, and has a muscular frame. With a visible forehead, pointed nose, slender ovaline eyes with narrow eyebrows, and a harsh jawline. Mikoto's lips are barely noticeable, only able to be seen when he does not dawn his standard impartial expression. Especially when he adorns his 'poker face.' Mikoto is known to have a healthy and rigid posture and uses that to his advantage. On a typical day, he usually wears an all-black suit, vest, and shoes. Inside the two-button suit jacket is a golden color theme which the same goes with his tie to match, and a pin attached to the center. He is wearing a pair of dark aviator glasses. To top off this elegant snazzy attire is that he wears a long white scarf around the neck. He is letting it dangle down both shoulders, the length of this scarf reaches down to his pelvis. The only other accessories he had on him were a watch and a PDA. "You seem to enjoy being late Master Kimura."

Asterion said while driving the car "Well, there is an immeasurable distance between late and too late, Asterion." he would have replied.
During this entire ride towards the destination, it was never Mikoto's intention to go straight to where he had been planning to go. He headed towards the signature of a hollow he sensed long ago, but he was in no hurry to get to its location precisely, one of the reasons being was that a shinigami was already in the area. Whoever was there seem to be dealing with it, but it was never Mikoto's aim to allow the shinigami to do it alone or let him take on a hollow by themselves. He prefers to deals with these issues himself, but with a shinigami in the area, he didn't wish to handle these matters in this facade, for it draws too much attention. With his spiritual presence being obscured by his own doing so, no one, not even a master of the ability to sense, could detect him being near unless he wanted it so. Himself and Asterion drove to the designated area. Before even reaching that part of the city, one side of a building that was about half a mile out suddenly destroyed; a hole in the wall of the building appeared. Though it wasn't an unexplained disaster, he saw someone go flying into it. Asterion sped up to get closer, which only took less than 2 minutes to get a closer distance to the fighting.
With that, Mikoto had Asterion parked into an alleyway so he could step out of the car. Asterion, of course, would step out but won't partake in Mikoto's actions despite Asterion more than capable and experienced than Mikoto. It was with great interest that Asterion doesn't interfere at all at any point unless he was need it to step in. At this time, Mikoto had just arrived on foot about two blocks away from the building; the two individuals decided to settle this encounter. Police were also coming to hold off the streets, block off the area from civilians. Peering from around the building, Mikoto saw how people were exiting the building — running out in fear, screaming for help, panicking. But someone was stuck on the third floor, a man banging against the glass window. There was nothing but an explosion after explosion. The glass itself broke from him hitting on it, which resulted in him falling through the now broken window. Mikoto had immediately acted by performing a high-speed motion where this luminous green light expanded outwards from the heel. It propelled Mikoto into the air, where he reached the cops cruiser with one foot and bounced off of the hood itself with slight help of his bringer light again. By this time, the male was falling between the second and first floor. As Mikoto leap off the hood of the cop's vehicle with a small portion of his bringer light, it was only enough to give him a bit more of a "push". The black jacket and scarf flew off his body and landed on one of the officers watching helplessly. Mikoto manages not only to reach the man but catching him in the process in mid-air, leaving the bystanders at awe of his impossible feat with his jump. Mikoto allowed them to see him jump from the hood so that it would seem he had a reason for being there. Plus, no one would question his ability to jump that high. To make sure that he doesn't do something that would raise too much of an eyebrow, Mikoto didn't accurately perform the perfect landing perse. Instead of that, he purposely allowed himself to hit the ground shoulder first and went into a sliding motion for a moment and then rolling an extra feet until coming to a stop.
It wasn't his intention to do anything, but he couldn't allow this person to suffer from someone else's inconsiderate actions. It was because of that he despises hollows and even shinigami for this reason. Destroying the city is one thing, but it's another when the innocence suffers for their lack of "protection" causes people to hurt or die. Sure Mikoto protects the city from petty crimes in the city. Even when it comes to fighting unknown threats that humans aren't aware of seeing spirits, he tries to fight in places that aren't endangering a lot of people if he could help it. A weakness of his, but a fault he tries to eliminate as possible. Mikoto is aware he can't save everyone, but he won't sit by allowing anyone to suffer like his parents did. Though they died, there was one thing that always crosses his mind. It bugs him every day, something even Asterion could never share with Mikoto only that he told Mikoto when the time comes; he will share. But Mikoto wonders if his parents could fight why they never try protecting the city? Why have they never use their powers for the greater good? A question that stirs his mind since he was but a young boy.
At any case, Mikoto manages to save the civilian from severe injuries or worst, death. The cops and ambulances come running over to help them both up. Time for the facade to surface for the public; a smile ran across his face as the man thanked him for saving him. He was in good hands with the medics. All the cops were thankful, but the worst of it seems to die down, but then something happened next. Mikoto help the man to the medics but then quickly ran into the building. They were still fighting, but someone else also appeared. That is when Mikoto made his way to the next floor, and once he arrived, he saw just as he suspected. Two shinigami, one severely injured it seems though, of course, with Mikoto's spiritual presence still concealed, so he wasn't able to be detected. He watched from around the corner of the building and saw the woman fend off the hollow while trying to save her comrade.
He was there to not only watch them, but in case neither of them failed to do their job, he was going to step in. Had they died in the process of fighting, it wouldn't bother him one bit whoever or whatever they came from would send more, right? Without a moment to waste, they both left flee into this portal or sorts while leaving the monster behind. Typical. He was going to intervene to finish this hollow off. But this woman, she performs a technique that he couldn't quite see, but the white mask creature was going crazy then died by some unknown means. Mikoto didn't have to do a thing after all. After it was all said and done, Mikoto went to inspect the area where the two shinigami left. Hopefully, there was something there was left behind. Nothing, but the dented wall, the blades, blood, and spiritual presence they left behind. The main thing was, what was the door they went through? His hand stretched outwards to where he believes the entrance had been located, but there was nothing. He came up empty, nothing he could use here, but it was intriguing how they were able to escape and disappear — no trace of their spiritual energy anywhere. The sound of people coming up the steps just down the hall interrupting his moment to conduct more studies. The cops came up and saw Mikoto standing there, guns drawn while firefighters also came to the scene.
"Oh Mr. Kimura, what are you-." The officer cut off by Mikoto before he could speak anything.
"Sorry officer, I couldn't help but wonder if someone else was in here trouble. Forgive me if I overstepped." Mikoto spoke with a smile.
"No, Mr. Kimura, it's quite alright. Though I will ask if you can leave the scene, it isn't safe here, plus I would hate it if the chief finds a respected civilian at the scene of a terrorist attack. Oh, here's you're jacket and scarf." the officer stated while passing over the jacket to Mr. Kimura.
Mikoto quickly left, escorted by one of the firefighters for his safety, Mikoto walked out of the building. News reporters everywhere trying to get the scoop on what happened. Thankfully, they were being kept at bay by the barriers placed up by the police. It was only then Asterion was allowed to pull in and let Mikoto get inside of the car.

Mikoto did not go home; in fact, he made sure he called Kaguya to let them know he wouldn't make it to the office. Instead, he was on his way home; by this time, the recent events that occur would be all over the news at this point. Of course, Mikoto wasn't genuinely interested in watching. However, he planned for one more stop before heading home, which he wanted some flowers for a personal reason. He had Asterion pulled up to a flower shop called Hanaben, a respectable business that he usually visits on certain occasions. Once exiting the car, Mikoto would slip on his suit jacket he wore earlier today, he also had a new fresh white button-up shirt, the one before was damaged by the sleeve from saving the civilian. Thankfully, the car had a compartment inside where it houses many extra clothing and condiments Mikoto may need.
Upon slipping on his jacket Asterion and himself entered the store where it was Asterion who held the door open for his Master — allowing Mikoto to enter the establishment, but what could Mikoto possibly use flowers for or give them too? Not many would remember or care to remember, but tomorrow is the anniversary of his parent's death. He usually buys them flowers every year from the shop since it was always closer, much like anywhere else. Mikoto was a well valued and respectable customer for this establishment. Now then he leaves donations for their flowers since it has always been stated in Japan how different flowers have a meaning to them. When walking in the bell sounded his arrival, and behind the counter to his left would be an enormous amount of flowers, roses to be specific. It had a combination of red and pink. He noticed a customer had just left with a boy who rushed out in a hurry. Of course, still wearing that disguised, Mikoto smiled at the young boy who ran out for whatever reason. In particular, it doesn't appear he stolen anything, but he seems to be in a hurry.
"Konnichiwa Ms. Diamante. How are things? And who was that young boy just now?" he asked but noticed a piece of paper in hand and her rosy red cheeks.
"Oh, I see, it is a love letter?" he asked, teasing her and waiting for her to respond, possibly in a childish girly way as all young girls do.

"Yōkoso!”
Lifting her head off of the counter, Blume came to meet yet another patron, and his teasing only caused her to grumble and puff her cheeks out indignantly. She waved a finger at him and settled back down, her cheeks still holding that rosy red in them at the mention of that boy and his letter.
"Mikoto-san, sticking your nose into other people’s business isn’t good for you.” Though she was teasing, she still meant it anyway. Standing up, she headed towards the back, calling out as she walked. "Another year has passed, yes?”
Rummaging around the various arrangements, she’d finally rested her hands on an arrangement made up of white lilies and baby’s breath, separated into two vases. Carrying them back to the front counter, she held an exhausted look on her face and placed them in front of him.
"Lilies, for purity, and Baby’s Breath, for constant loving endeavors. Just how it’s been since you walked through this door.”
Hanaben
had been bought by the Diamante Forges so that she had a proper place to absorb the energy around her without harming anyone, and it provided a sense of calming to everyone that entered. The place was magical, and she’d been working here since she had been allowed to move freely at the age of fourteen. Granted, this was once where Gemischt used to run it, the Elders changed the venue to accommodate their prodigy.
"It was a confession, but I am not interested in any suitors at the moment. Besides, the one who should be worrying about a partner is you. You’re getting too old to date, Mikoto-san. Soon enough, girls will find you ugly and only want you for money.”

"Mikoto-san, sticking your nose into other people's business isn't good for you." she said, followed by "Another year has passed, yes?"
He chuckled at her first words because it was true, he shouldn't, but it couldn't help himself to be nosy. "You are correct, Ms. Diamante, but as a businessman, I can't help but stick my nose where it doesn't belong. Unfortunately, yes it has been a year I do thank you for having them ready for me." he would have said while she fetched for his things from the back.
Once she came from the back with both white lilies and baby breath flowers in two separate vases. Asterion took it upon himself to grab them for Master Kimura while he continues to chat with the young woman.
"Arigato, Ms. Diamante. I must say you look tired, working too hard. You are too young not to go live a little." he said once receiving the vases.
It was nice to see the white lilies and baby breath, as she stated the white flowers means for purity. Fresh and crisp, white lilies also represent purity and modesty. While baby breath, well, most people know the baby's breath flower is the iconic symbol of long-lasting love because it's commonly used to round out wedding bouquets and centerpieces. The tiny white flowers represent the purity of emotion that two people should have for each other during a wedding ceremony. Aside from marriage connotations, the baby's breath is also tied to babies in an obvious way. It's traditional to give new mothers floral arrangements featuring at least one or two sprigs of this plant. Self-discipline and fidelity is a modern meaning for this classic flower. These flowers shall be shared among the people he lost.
She ends up coming out and sharing what the paper was precisely and turns out to be a confession, in short, a love letter. Something Mikoto was joking about at first. To be spot on, it seems that he has some excellent guessing skills. However, one line did hit home for him, the mentioning of a partner. Little did she know, he had one before, but she died. On the outside, she wouldn't notice, the exterior of Mikoto's expression was smiling like nothing seems to be wrong. Behind the veil, he was depressed, sad, full of hatred that even Asterion knows what he felt; he has known this feeling for many years. What does it mean to have a partner? Partnership is hard. It's about more than just passion. Mikoto used to believe that was the only thing a relationship needed to be successful and real, but he was wrong. It's a choice, and one people keep making every day until something inside of them changes.
There was a time he believe at one point it did change him, falling in love with Emiko was something he never thought possible. A partner means being there for each other at their worst when one of you is sad, sick, frustrated, and heartbroken. Either or both are there. Not a drop-by-with-chicken-soup kind of there, but an up-all-night, spoon-feeding them at 4 a.m. in the ER kind of there. A partner means compromise. It means trudging through the muck of life, knowing someone has their back. It means supporting each other. It means sacrifice. It means admitting when either one is in the wrong, and it even changes the way they fight. He found that in Emiko. However, they were in union, married. And just like that, she was lost and found dead. That darkness she has once rid himself over had returned, but it was darker ever since. There wasn't going to be nothing or anyone that had the power to bring him out.
Mentally he snapped away from going too far into his thoughts 10 seconds of his time had already passed, spacing out on Ms. Diamante. "Oh, sorry about that. But maybe you are right; I could use a partner before I end up still coming to your shop with a cane."
He chuckled a bit, but a soft voice of the tv begins to take his attention away. He turns to the tv where it shows a news reporter speaking about the earlier events.
News: "Earlier today we had witnessed another terrorist attack, an unexplained explosion took place at The Kyoto Animation. The police have yet to find the suspect or what caused the damages to the building. But a handful of people survive with only ten dead between the third and second floor of the building. But one person almost died, but thanks to the heroics of our city White Knight, Mister Mikoto Kimura, CEO of Kimura Enterprises, came in and saved a man. The video came in by a civilian that shared this video over the internet and has been going viral. I am Misaki Kojima, and this is NHK thanks for watching. We are going to move to Jiro Hashi, who wants to speak about the recent vigilante."
The news channel switched over to another reporter who would appear sitting at HQ. News:"Konichiwa Karakura town! I am Jiro Hashi, wanted to talk to you about the recent masked vigilante, as we like to call him The Mask Avenger. As of late, it seems as though he has been brutalizing every criminal within the city. However, the police officers are looking to do whatever it takes to bring this masked man to justice. And then-"
Mikoto didn't wish to listen anymore as he tuned out the news at that point and decided to bring out his wallet to pay for the flowers.
