She could feel the ire radiating from them both. It was understandable. Even she didn't understand why she was coming back. She was fresh enough that going to Ninth or almost any other Division could be in her grasp. Places where she would feel wanted.
Despite this, somewhere in the pit of her soul. She wanted to stay.
kazwalk2vs-2.png

These were words she had been told her entire life. Accepted as truth. Etched into her soul. She supposed, in this moment in time, she could take advantage. Accustomed to hostile faces surrounding her, it did not truly matter. Be that way or not. She belonged in Second. This was something she needed to do. Herself. They could not make her want to be or able to be better. Facing down a beast and finally conquering it. This would be her first true battle. Who was she really?
Who could she become?
Face blank as she listened intently to what was happening around her, she glanced up enough to collect the file from Yasu, preparing to follow her out. A hand touched her shoulder. Though not rough at all, her fingers felt like claws to her. This was understood, much better than her kinder words; yet also with them. There seemed to be no personal emotion toward her from Yasu besides annoyance.
Yasu's feelings toward her Division, however, were undeniable. Showing her how easily she could eliminate her while also showing her the treatment of a comrade. It was her decision. And she had made it. Without hesitation she followed along with behind them; taking a brief pause to bow to the Captain before getting back in her place. She said nothing in return, simply taking in the information, remembering it by heart. She'd never dare write such things down.
Her teeth clenched at the sight of the woman as she removed her jacket. She had also improved much over all this time. She had trained so hard..why did it feel as if she were exactly the same as she was three months ago? Both women showed evidence if their hard work. Where was she lacking? Following along into the room it disturbed her little to see the woman began to strip, though she did have to wonder why.
Her concise explanation had Kazumi grabbing what she could see that would be easy to move in. Taking no time she quickly undressed and redressed in the rags, shifting her shoulders about as she felt the rough feeling of well worn clothing.
Keeping her eyes averted well away from Sakiko who seemed uncomfortable, she simply stood waiting in the strange new clothes. As Yasu spoke she had no words today. No words could do. Kazumi needed to show by action. And she would. As they began to move she followed once more, wondering where this was all leading to but not daring to comment on such.

“Haihai. I’ll try to be back as soon as possible. I have… things that I’d like to discuss with you, Taichou.”
Yasu responds, her spirits seeming to have lifted since before. The last part however piqued his curiosity. Considering she hadn’t blurted anything out during their travel back to the barracks, or even during the meeting, Kyomu was honestly puzzled. Just what was that girl thinking?
Giving Kazumi a final nudge to put aside her negative thoughts, the Lieutenant motions for the girls to follow her lead. Kyomu gives a passing glance from Sakiko, who’s mood and perspective have changed, hopefully for the better, to the still perplexed and dispirited Kazumi.
Kazumi, though demoted to Sixth seat is still spared and welcomed back into the ranks of the Second Squad — and still she wars with herself internally. She continues to struggle with feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty, she still questions and doubts. Though she clearly understands very little regarding the mission beyond its parameters, ignorant of her purpose and of anything regarding the target — the girl remains tight lipped. It seems she’d expect the answers to unvoiced questions to be delivered to her. Kyomu wonders if she’d be alright, had he truly made the right choice?
It's a question he’d have to ponder on another time, for now..he had company to attend to. Like a revolving door, as the trio of women left to prepare and depart on their assignment another appears before the Captain. Amber hues shift towards the shadows as the ghostly messenger manifests himself, as if birthed from darkness.
Kyomu remains seated, eyes focused on the man clad in white. The Captain is not unfamiliar with the meaning behind such a visit. For a moment his mind traces back to the instances within the past whenever they would appear.
“Captain Mukuro, orders for you from the Captain Commander sir.”
It was just as he had thought. The phantom glances down at the envelope resting on uplifted hands in offering. The envelope, not unlike its messenger's attire, is blemishless. The contents of the message sealed by purple wax with a Chrysanthemum embedded in the signent. Both the flower and the color symbols of the First Division, acting as added testimony to the importance of these orders.
As always, Kyomu retrieves the message, the absence of its carrier’s form or presence does nothing to pull the Captain’s attention away from what now lies in his hand. Odd, how something as light and disarming as an envelope could carry such...weight. Kyomu could only imagine what more the Commander would demand of him. He pauses for a moment...and then breaks the seal, retrieving the folded paper tucked inside and unfurling it.
Quote:Captain Mukuro,
You and your fellow Captains have been summoned for a meeting. You are to report to the Captains Hall immediately.
The message is short and concise, leaving no room for pondering, misinterpretation and most importantly, no room to be questioned or ignored. Seated alone in the massive hall he can’t help but to wonder; just how long has it been since the Captains were all gathered? The Seireitei has had an increasing number of incidents, something he himself has had a hand in. It would appear that he and his colleagues would have to give an account for these happenings. Rising to his feet Kyomu secures his zanpakuto to its resting place on his waist.

The Phantom makes his way from his perch, and exits the meeting hall. Feet carry him quietly across and through the barrack’s courtyard as he makes his way out in the Seireitei’s streets. In his journey towards the First Division, he can’t help but wish Yasu and the others would hurry back, he needed Kagewaki’s return...he needed it now.

Despite her previous emotion, she found herself surprised at the suggestion of splitting up. To Arashi it seemed logical. No need for them both to travel to the same place. A group can be gathered and the order will be relayed, easy. However, this was a chance to see how well Himari viewed others. Even as simple as the task was, traveling to the Rukongai, the task could easily turn gruesome and sideways for everyone. She needed to choose those that will be prepared and ready for any obstacle.
”Right, maybe have a squad would be smart just in case, ”
For a moment, her eyes narrowed. What is the problem now?
”And don't you think it's the other way around, Lieutenant? You were holding my hand after all since you didn't even know your ways to your own quarters.”
Another joke, one that would result in his smile noticeably spreading slightly. He would even let out a small chuckle. Slowly, her wall is beginning to crack. Though it is several layers thick, it is nice to see that he is slowly but surely making progress. She waited for no response, her shunpo giving her the chance to escape any response from him. Quickly after, he departs as well, arriving at the entrance of the Kido Corps as aforementioned…
Kido_Corps_group.png

Entirely different, from the regular of Squad Five. The professionalism and attentiveness these men show is explicit. They noticed the badge upon his left arm and as their expressions were hidden beneath the garments that cover a majority of their faces, they had a slight sense of surprise that spilled from their eyes. They clearly had no expectation of being visited by a Lieutenant, let alone their own. Two of the four men, step towards the door, while the other bow in tow. The door is pushed open, allowing for Arashi to enter with no issue. Even at the exit of his Shunpo, his steps did not come to a stop; transferring into a steady walk. The dust that carried into the air fell behind him…
The doors, just the same, closing shut at the four guards resumed their positions at the entrance, guarding the secrets and ideals of Squad Five. Men of the same clothing traversed the halls. They even stood in single file lines, all at the ready, focused, alerted to the fullest. Though they never turned their heads to take a glance towards the approaching Lieutenant, they knew he was there. Arashi raised a hand, stopping one of them in their tracks. They turned and bowed.
”Yes Sir.”
”I am Lieutenant Suta of Squad Five. Can you point me in the direction of your leading member.”

A glance to the badge on his left arm is all he needed to know if Arashi meant the title he claimed. With a nod, he stepped to the side, turning and raised a hand in gesturing towards the direction that Arashi should take.
”Straight ahead, Lieutenant.”
He bows again as Arashi steps pass, even returning with a nod as he did. His steps were light, having no sound to bounce off the wall of this building. The men that lined the hallway held their positions, not even flinching or shifting their gaze even as he passed. These men are trained extremely well. Approaching another set of doors that are touched by his hands this time.
Kido_Corps.png

More sophisticated than the men outside, these men dressed in blue coats had their faces covered entirely. Even the very Priestess, who he remembered quite clearly from two months ago. Arashi remained at the door, closing them behind his person.

At her very desk, organizing the papers, managing her work quite well. No matter how busy she may have seemed she took the time to raise her head, to see through the helm she wears. Like all the others, she noticed the badge upon his arm and from that distance, she could see the insignia of Squad 5. She stands from her deck immediately and takes steps to move around and personally approach her Vice-Captain.
”Lieutenant, how can I help you?”
Indeed, she recognized his face, even from so long ago. Having kept tabs on her Captain who had been in Squad 12 along with him. She even knew his name, though they had never spoken a day in her life.
”I have two orders for you, from Captain Oda himself. Create a few copies of the Dangai Records during the time of the Koketsu Event. Also, immediately begin construction of the Kido Cannon.”
The first order is taken mentally with ease, but the second, though she did not show it, nor could it be seen, The Priestess held a sense of alertness as her posture straightened. Of course she understood the reasons, the motives, the end-goal of this order. Arashi didn’t want to ask her, but instead he would save the question for his Captain whenever he finished with his duties regarding the later from Commander Murasaki.
”Consider it done, Lieutenant. Thank you,” She replies and bows to him.
Short, but professional, just as the Captain had advised. Nothing more to say, but to return with a bow of his own before he turned on his heel and exited the building as a whole. Making it back outside, Arashi hoped that Himari had gathered the members they needed in order to travel to the Rukongai and complete the second task.

As Himari used her Shunpo to get to the lower floors of the barracks, she would land gracefully on the ground. She would nod at the people who would notice her appearance before she would walk towards her normal training rooms as she knew the very group she wanted would be there. She would move quickly before she would stand in front of the doors. This would be different. She wasn’t just a no seat anymore. She was now a seated officer. And the very people she used to train with would probably look at her differently.
‘Not now. Himari. Duty calls. No need to get in your head too much’she thought before she breathed in and pushed the door open. As she entered the training room. She would be thankful that there were six of them there. These were people she trained with. So she could trust them.
shay-kido-colored.png

“I need your attention for a moment. We have direct orders by Captain Oda himself. We will be headed to the Rukongai. You will just have to trust me on this matter. You will accompany me and Lieutenant Suta. We are to make sure we can find any object that radiates Spiritual pressure to confiscate it. Per orders of Captain Oda.”
As she finished, she was preparing herself for questions and maybe even reject but she was surprised that one of the men in the room turned towards the rest and turned towards Himari again.
“We trust in your word, Shimizu-San. If we have orders by the Captain we have orders.”
Himari would nod, trying not to smile before she would walk towards the door.
“Alright, let’s head to the Lieutenant.”
At that, they would Shunpo. Himari would Shunpo towards Kido Corps just in time to see Arashi step outside.
“Here we are Lieutenant, looks like we came just in time.”
She would say this with a slight smile before she would cough just a little, taking off the smile from her face. She was proud of herself. But she didn’t want to feel too proud.

The team was assembled in a timely manner if Tenzen were watching he would be impressed and pleased that these two strangers are able to work so efficiently together. But the eyes of their Captain are not the ones that fall upon this group it is instead the eyes of the High Priestess of the Kido Corps. She appears before them with no guards flanking her as she would have normally, no within the walls of the Kido Corps HQ guards are all around ready to reduce anyone to ashes who would dare make an attempt on her life. She approaches Arashi in silence but does not enter his personal space as they often do with Tenzen, again within the walls of this HQ there is no need for such measures to be taken.
"Lt. Suta, before you venture out on your mission we have a specific artifact that needs to be destroyed, it has no benefit and is only a danger to the Soul Society as a whole."
She pauses for a moment so that the group before her has a moment to brace themselves for the news and mission objective they are about to receive. She begins talking, her words clear as day with no way of misunderstanding a single thing she says.
"Near District 197 of the Rukongai there exists a river, one that was never meant to be found or brought to the light of day by anyone Shinigami or otherwise. Recently, an Itsuki Asakura of the Seventh Division was sent on a mission in that district and what he discovered was that the village was using this artifact in some way. The results of his mission are unnecessary knowledge but his report gave specific details to the artifact in question that was to remain unknown to all, it is a fragment of the Soul King."
She falls silent allowing the group time to process this new information once the initial shock fades and they settle down she continues.
"With Asakura-san's report being made brought this artifact into the light of the public. I understand you were given orders by the Chief to secure any artifact you discover, however, this is one artifact that must be destroyed by any means necessary. Do not let the denizens of the Rukongai stop, slow, or deter you from this objective, it must be destroyed before an undesirable group gets their hands on it. This is an entire river that must be wiped from existence, it may prove difficult however seeing how the Chief chose both of you to lead such an expedition I have faith you will find a way to settle this matter. That is all."
She remains idle for any questions the group may have for her if no questions are asked of her she simply walks away to return to her quarters. It is now up to the newly crowned Lt and Fourth Seat to take charge of this dangerous task, success will be celebrated, failure could possibly put not only the Seireitei but the Soul Society as a whole at risk for something catastrophic.
