Searching for an ounce of deceit in his eyes like he has done many times before, little does Ensō know that this man was always performing his job. His body language was all that he needed to look for his answers, they had been friends a long time, sharing many conversations and laughs with one another enjoying each other's company. One of few men, or rather anybody that he has let in and allowed to get to know him after the tragedies of his family and the relationship he shares with his last living blood. He called it a cursed fate, a living breathing death sentence for any man who once bore a heart or love for things. After all, what was a man without family? Shusuke knew the answer, and it was a terrible fate to be sentenced to. Regardless, he has the heart to perform his duties everyday like any other Shinigami because he is no different. He is a cog in the working system of right and wrong although he does not see things so black and white. He searched for most of his answers in the gray, the purgatory that no one is willing to talk about, it's a part of what makes him one of Sixth’ finest. Unlike Shirogane Kuchiki.
He waited for his friend to accept his token of emotional disarm, it would feel like nothing to maybe Enso, or maybe it would be considering that both men shared an actively curious imagination. But in that moment, of the handkerchief being in that “purgatory” between right and wrong, Shusuke noted something he had always known subconsciously about his long time friend. Certain hesitation. While it might have been out of fear, or shock in which he had performed the Hado spell, there was a certain hesitation before in which he accepted the token. Was he thinking of how apologetic he was, or was he plotting the next move to his cover up? He has only seen hesitation in instances where men had something they needed to hide, the perps that Shusuke deals with on a weekly basis. What did Ensō need to hide? They both knew that he did it, why was now the question. He accepted it back, still eyeing his body’s language, looking for any ill will or violent contempt. He found little. Not in as much as he would have 100 years ago.
But there was sure to be a reason, He wanted to aid him but he needed the facts first. He asked him why he went about this whole thing so harshly, spilling the blood of a comrade upon their own Division. Ensō could very well hang for this, but he wasn’t sure if he himself understood that, from his gathering of his actions. However it did happen again, hesitation. His head reared away from Shusuke before answering, his eyes narrow but not so much as to alarm him. Shortly after finding his words he saw another clue, a certain giddiness in the eyes that he has only seen in very small instances and in a very specific type of people. Murderers. Listening to Shusuke as if he had little to do with their fates, he was confused. The messages and signals he received were mixed with his eyes and the rest. He then rebbutled back to the adjudicator.
”You're not wrong, Shusuke-Kun. I am to blame for this disaster. In my haste, I fired off Kurohitsugi and lost contro—”
Stopping short of his answer, he buckled under himself to clutch his arm which was now dripping in crimson liquid. It appeared as though Enso had sustained certain injuries as well in this supposed ”teaching exercise”. He catches him before he manages to fall to himself. ”I’ve never known you to be careless with yourself…” was all he could think. Both men were talented Zanjutsu experts and have sparred on a few occasions to better themselves while still in the academy and not once has Shusuke allowed nor Ensō allowed such injuries. These lacerations were deep, the blood wouldn’t stop dripping from his shihakusho, that it would eventually match his tongue. He took the handkerchief and wrapped his arm in it while ripping off a piece of his shihakusho from the forearm down to create an absorbent tourniquet. Of the two, Ensō was the Kido specialist. He helped Shu pass his Kid testings initially so there was no kaido that he could offer him. All the while a zzz~zzz~zzz could be felt from his pocket meaning that he had received some work and feedback from his alert. He helped Ensō down on the Seki Seki, and placed a firm left hand on his shoulder, ensuring him that he wasn’t allowed to move, and kept it there as he stood to his full frame and looked at his messages.
”Why are you requesting the assistance of the Seventh Division
for an issue outside the scope of our authority?”

Form the new Captain Itsuki Asakura. He hadn’t even heard Seventh Received a Captain, but never mind that he sounded as if he was completely ignorant to what was taking place. A better question Shusuke wanted answers to was why wasn’t he here? Slightly miffed that he was shrugged off so rudely by a Captain when he was simply informing him of the happenings going on in and around his division, he just chalked it up to blissful ignorance and continued scrolling without a reply. He then found that one of his own Division members was on his way, he was happy with at least some positive get back.
”Fifth Seat, Sixth Division, Sora Yoshima. On my way to your location.”
He knew Sora, not well enough to have an opinion of him but they have met and drank in the hall together. He wondered how he’d be able to handle himself but regardless he knew how he would be playing the situation going forward. Bringing Ensō to Fourth Division and then questioning him on everything with the help of another authority.
Shuffling his phone back into his pocket, a soft rumble would occur around his area but he knew that a soft rumble here would feel past gargantuan somewhere else. He looked up to the sky to find a Garganta. As large as he had ever seen yet, a thick black streak broke across the sky destroying it as it cracked itself open to reveal nothing but hazy dark. It would appear to have opened up as far as the Rukongai.

”What in the name of the Soul King…?”
Was all he could mutter, he couldn’t make out the destruction but he could feel its adverse effects from where he was standing, no doubt sinister and more than likely bloody. Deaths of all kinds could probably be found after that tremor, dark days boded for the Seireitei he feared. He figured this was only the First Day.

-Coming from Southwest Seireitei to Northeast Seireitei-
’’Training, training and far more training!’’ The shouting could be heard throughout the 6th division barracks as a loud Hideaki was roaring his head off after each and every swing of his zanpakuto within his right hand; whilst holding the sheathe against his left side of the waist. Many of the members looked at the nut who was training from morning till night time and usually without breaks or disturbances. ’’Alriiiiighttt!’’ ONE MORE T-’’ Just as he was about to make one full swing a zzzz zzzz zzzz had gone off within his pocket, disrupting his momentum and thus losing focus and balance, tripping over a rock and ungracefully throwing his zan into the air whilst landing face first into the dirt.
The rest of the members laughing their heads off from Hideaki’s stupendous failed attempt to slice the air. Sitting up, Hideaki pulled out his phone and flipped it open, listening in on Shusuke’s message. Shusuke being the 3rd seat of the 6th division and also a mentor to Hideaki. The man had helped him grow as a zanjutsu specialist, honing Hideaki’s Battojutsu even further.
”Yeeeeaahhh….This is Shusuke Kiyoshi, Third of Sixth. Anyone on these lines I got a three twenty-four in the Northeast Seireitei. That's a Black Coffin alert for all you desk jockeys. Requesting back-up from Fifth and Seventh to find the perpetrator and Fourth Division to pick up the blood samples of the deceased...You won't be needing a large vessel. Kiyoshi out.”
At that point, Hideaki sent out his response to Shusuke, ’’Hide here!! Moving out toward your location!’’. Hideaki picked up his zanpakutou and placed it back in it’s sheath. He cleaned himself up from all the dirt and darted out of 6th’s barracks as quickly as he could toward Shusuke’s position. On his way out he met Sora who was 6th division’s 5th seat. The fact that a level 90 Hado was used, meant things were very serious over at 7th division barracks. Matching his shunpo to Sora’s, Hideaki introduces himself, ’’YO! It’s a pleasure to meet’cha!’’
Having now moved into the Northeast of the Seireitei alongside Sora, both of them were fairly close to Shusuke’s location. Hideaki could sense two reiatsu signatures there, one was Shu’s, but the other he had felt before, recalling that signature within the Shino academy. ‘Was this other person a teacher there?’, asking that question within his mind. So it seemed two had already been at the scene where the Hado had been fired off, which resulted in the deaths of several shinigami at 7th division barracks. This was indeed a huge problem. It was at this point that Hideaki felt the sudden invasion of many reiatsu signatures within the sky and came to a complete halt shouting, ’’STOP!!!'' his silver eyes narrowed down like a wolf’s on high alert.
Hideaki’s attention completely shifted, his head looking up toward the sky only to see a massive Garganta! Hideaki immediately reached for his Denrenshikki X and relayed the message to all divisions within the Gotei 13, ’’GOTEI 13!! This is Hideaki Shinomourin of 6th division!! We have a massive Garganta! And imminent invasion is upon us!! relaying the message, Hideaki put his device back in his pocket and remained at his current position, keeping a close eye on the Garganta and what comes out of it.

"Keep it in stasis until Lieutenant Omoni-san arrives."
At the side of the room as the hollow was being prepared for the upcoming procedure, Junko sat being tended to by a nurse on each side. They were making quick work of her injuries, though they hadn't been very substantial to begin with. Captain... She was uncertain what had caused his clothing to become such a bloody mess but had done a proper job of healing himself by the time he'd arrived at the barracks. Before his departure she had taken not only his pain but his wounds as well, leaving the man in peak condition for what he would face in the World of the Living.
Fine wounds had covered the woman's body, blood seeping into a staining her own clothing. They made quick work of her, allowing the woman to stand and stretch her limbs out as she rolled away the aches. Though she wished to be of more help, she felt fortunate to be left to her own devices here within the medical center. She had exhausted herself working and taking the lead while the others secured their positions in the World of the Living. She could almost consider a nap....
As if reading her thoughts her Denreishinki began to vibrate, nestled within her sash along with her once more sealed Zanpakuto. She wondered if this had something to do with the noise occurring in Seventh, though there seemed little reason for her in particular to go and examine the situation with the current state of affairs. However, the voice demanded a presence, and beyond this, there were multiple dead.
Commanding the two nurses to remain behind along with guards for the hollow, she left the wing of the center to arrive toward the center. Her orders were rushed but unquestioned: 5 members were to leave with her. Three to attend to the remains-what little there was, according to the voice on the device, and another two to follow her and help apprehend the perpetrator.
"As of now the medical center is under a lock down. This is not to be lifted unless by my request or someone of higher ranking. Nobody in, no exceptions. Prepare emergency aid kits and stations outside."
With that she was gone, paperwork fluttering on the desk of the man she had spoken to. Approaching the Seventh's barracks it wasn't difficult to sense the one who had called for her. Honing in on his location she made a beeline for him, the five others following behind with wide eyes as they looked about them. Anger rose in her for a moment as she closed in, recognizing the reiatsu of another shinigami present. Him again. How likely this was a coincidence?
Skidding to a stop near the men, one she recognized only by sight and name and not personally and another she knew nothing of at all. The three members tasked moved past them all, approaching the bodies with their kits carefully and beginning their assessments. Junko gave them little more than a glance. They were more than capable, they did not need her eye upon this. That man however.
Looking to the Kiyoshi man that had called for the attention of multiple squads, she gave a light bow. Not one of disrespect, simply unable to lower her head and lose sight of the man who had disturbed her so within her barracks not too long ago.
"Junko Izumi, Fourth seat of Squad Four,"
Giving this introduction to the two men she eyed the strange one for a moment. Bright eyes looking up to Shusuke's she gauged his suspicions. He seemed wary of the man as well, though him being wounded had put an obvious halt to immediate questioning. But still...something was wrong. The men behind them were setting to work, blood spattered upon the walls and concrete. Enso staggered about, blood dripping from multiple wounds o his body. Her mouth opened and closed multiple times as she tried to put her finger on exactly what it was that irked her so...
His clothes were soaked with blood, fresh and seeping through as his wounds poured. Tilting her head, one of the members was by his side immediately, tending to what had not already been wrapped. For a frustrating amount of time she stood as if frozen, her mind attempting to unravel the mystery before her. The answer was before her. She knew it. Eyes glancing over a bit of wall, the blood upon it already drying. It dawned upon her. Looking toward Shusuke once more she began to speak.
"Why are his wounds so fresh?Who attack-"
junangry.png

The rumbling beneath their feet grabbed her attention, hand grasping at her Zanpakuto as her head turned about to the disturbance. The Garganta opening above their heads was almost a physical force, repelling her. What was going on here? The unknown member beside the Kiyoshi was already alerting the other squads of the situation- as if it wasn't very noticeable on its own. Regardless, it was necessary and quick thinking, leaving her less to do.
Though she recognized the monstrosity, she had never beheld one before herself. Keeping herself at a stance that would allow her to see Enso from the corner of her eye but also able to eye the ominous sight, she felt relief over the lock down she had initiated. In her eyes, the murderer was captured and wounded. However, an entirely new threat had decided to present itself.

Sora found himself closing in on where he could feel Shusuke’s spiritual pressure, his and another, though not quite sure who the second one was, maybe the culprit or a witness? Either way he will find out soon enough, though if the attacker is capable of setting off a kido that high.. Sora didn’t know exactly how helpful he would be against that kinda skill and power, though I guess we were soon gonna find out. Hopefully everything could be resolved with little more casualty, things already seemed to be getting pretty bad as is.
As if to put some of these thoughts to rest, Sora felt and heard Hideaki catch up with him, almost at the same time, startling Sora if only slightly. ’’YO! It’s a pleasure to meet’cha!’’, he said as they matched each other's Shunpo. Although the name didn’t come to Sora at first, it only took him a few moments to place the face and name together, giving a small soft smile after realizing that Hideaki was 6th division 4th seat and probably coming to assist like Sora himself. Sora didn’t know much about Hideaki but was more than happy to get some assistance from his senior.
”Hey, Hideaki right? Are you also responding to Shusuke?”
Although the answer was obvious, maybe a little bit of small talk would help ease any sort of tension caused by the recent goingson of the Seireitei. Sadly there would be little time for small talk for almost as quickly as Sora had tried to start some, a low rumbling began to overtake the whole area. In the same instance Hideaki yelled for them to stop, Sora turned to see what could be causing it, only to witness the giant garganta ripping itself open in the sky. ”Crap..” is all Sora could manage to vocalize as he stood staring at the Garganta, his train of thought being broken again by Hideaki who was now sending news of the Garganta to the rest of the Gotai 13.
Pulling himself together and refocusing on the task ahead of him, he turned to the direction of Shusuke, now feeling yet another spiritual pressure in that area, making three. Though it seems Sora and Hideaki weren’t the only ones to respond, nor the fastest, if the person in question was capable of firing off level 90 kido.. He would probably need all the help he could get. Sora was about to step into a Shunpo before looking back to Hideaki and seeing that he had little, if any intention at all, of following. Recognizing the potential danger the Garganta posed, it really was not an easy choice to decide between aiding Shusuke or figuring out a way to deal with whatever may come from that massive rip in the sky. Sora however had told Shusuke that he was on his way and Sora would not find himself a liar.
”Hey Hideaki, there isn’t much we can do here so I am gonna go on ahead and meet up with Shusuke and our other two strangers. If this person is capable of taking out three Shinigami.. Well would like to have a fourth with us just in case?”
Sora only left a few second pause before turning back towards the Black Coffin site, leaping into Shunpo as quickly as possible in order to arrive without delay, so much time had already been lost. It only took a few moments for Sora to step into the area with Shusuke and Junko, coming to a light jog to make the next few meters. Sora couldn’t remember the lady, though she did look vaguely familiar, Enso however looked fairly recognizable, though the name didn’t come to him just yet. Looking over to Shusuke and Junko, knowing they had only so much time remaining to wrap things up here before more pressing matters needed more focused attention, such as the giant rip in the sky.
5th Seat, 6th Division, Sora Yoshima, here to help. Though whatever the plan is, I suggest we probably do it quickly, I’m sure I don’t need to say why I think that?”

A rather intriguing item had positioned itself amongst the people present. How interesting was it that more and more people were gathering at his location while a Garganta appeared within the sky. Like a crack, it ruptured the heaven's and forced itself upon the Seireitei without warning. At present, there was nothing amiss about the Garganta other than what it could possibly pose. Arrancar invasion, or perhaps something else? Was it really wise of those around him to not tend to the man's fresh wounds? Every action had a consequence and they were all playing into the man's hands thus far. Despite his unconscious facade, the instructor was still in full control of the situation. Those around him had never known the clown's true nature and even with the proper clues in place, the jester was gifted yet another wildcard. Had they focused on him and on the scene, it would have been evident with what was given as a statement before Ensō had fallen that he was not intent on hiding anything. No, especially not with the emotions surrounding him becoming more and more present with each passing second. To call the man a hound would be too polite. An animal was better than the disgusting creature he had become over his lifetime as a Shinigami.
Did those around him truly believe themselves to be on the path to discovery already? If so, they were hundreds of years too early to be in their respective positions. A looming threat to all Shinigami as well as the citizens of the vast Rukongi District just presented itself and yet they were still worried about a man feigning near death. While they couldn't tell that any abnormalities had come about as of yet, the man could smell their anxiety and unease. Yes, that's right. Out of all of Ensō's senses, his nose was particularly strong. He was, in fact, able to smell the emotions of those that he was around. Because of this incredible ability, his deception was something that was easy for him to keep up. Pulling the strings still, Ensō couldn't help but wonder what conclusion Junko had come to. His wounds were fresh? Yes, that was correct, but what about it? The battle had just ended and they were trying to draw on clues that didn't exist. Never in his life had he been sloppy and he wouldn't start now, despite his outright use of the Black Coffin. It swallowed all of the evidence, save the bloodstains that were the sole remains of the Shinigami.
Lacerations that littered his back were made in such a way that they simply could not be distinguished from a Shinigami's blade. Given the looming threat, the tables were stacked against those around him. They could continue to pop up around the man and ignore their duties as Shinigami, yes, but at what cost that would come was yet to be told. Even an instructor such as himself would have no choice but to aid in ensuring the safety of the Soul Society had he been "conscious." Yet, those around him wavered, unsure of what to do. Surely they hadn't forgotten their lessons at the academy? Well, perhaps they had. Emergencies are to be met with the utmost sense of urgency as well as tact. And yet here they were, drawing baseless conclusions from micromovements that hadn't occurred. For that matter, there certainly was no sane man that wouldn't be hard on himself for losing control.
Up until now, Ensō had abided by every single rule, yet there was some sort of otherworldly and falsely placed intuition being drawn upon. Surely those around him would reel themselves in from baseless speculation. The radiance that the man's eyes held was not one of bloodlust nor excitement, but rather; it was one that he typically held. These signals and cues that were being drawn upon simply didn't exist. Unless they had somehow been tainted by his maddening reiatsu, those around him were, for all intents and purposes, dawdling. At any moment, the man spring up and begin to take on those around him. Now, whether or not he would was already decided. With more pressing circumstances at hand, he'd remain in his "wounded" state while those around him decided whether or not they should treat the man's injuries instead of applying simple first-aid that one would receive on the battlefield. Nonetheless, whatever was to come out of the Garganta was being watched by Ensō despite his feigned state. Now, with time being a commodity, hopefully those around him would choose their actions and words a bit more wisely instead of jumping to accusations and assumptions.
