As the veins popped throughout his arms as he continued to lift the weights. At the moment, it is clear that Jiro was determined to work on himself some more as the boys had continued to burn their muscles until they could lift no more. Constant. It was constant that he continued to lift the 40-pound dumbells, with his breathing paced for him. Conserving the strength. With the sweats break loose down his forehead, curving over the ear into the neck. Listening to his friend's voice as he continued to work on his arms.
Quote:The Inner World
Stood at his usual spot. Still, his eerie eyes observe the moon that's being bombarded by meteors and rocks. At the same time, it is clear that the Zanpakuto spirit wanted something; that lies within the moon. Just what is it that it exactly wants? Apparently, it had something to do with Jiroshizo's emotional state. Some say the meteors and rocks are the symbolism of his wielder's emotional state. Evidence has shown as it occurs right after Kyu mentioned the spirit within Jiro's. This may be due to his reaction to Kyu's words regarding its desire.

Could it mean something?
"Uwah? What do you—"
He was interrupted by the lovely Shinobu Abe, with two new recruits trailing behind her like a mother duck and its babies. It might be a little humorous in his head but he decided to keep it to himself this time. At the same time, he eased the dumbbells onto the ground for him to extend his hand for a handshake. But then he changed his mind about it as it was a bit sweaty due to his small exercise. Instead. He waved at the new recruits.
"New recruits? Welcome—Ah sorry. My hand's a bit dirty.
I'll just wave instead.
33333.png

Nice to meet you, Rookies!"

He turned to Shinobu once she mentioned one of them had won the fourth seat. A gentle smile can be seen across his face.
"Oh hoho? That ought to be a quite accomplishment to achieve.
You might be a little intimidated by that guy over there staring at you like that. Kyuuzou's super friendly once you get to know him. *laugh* I'm Jiroshizo, the third seat of the Ninth. You can call me Jiro. Everyone does. Still, it is impressive for a recruit to join the Ninth Division, almost immediately in the fourth seat. Seems like I'll have to watch my spot... or you might demote me. *laugh*"

And then the mood is shifted.

He introduced himself to the new recruits, his tone was more welcoming and friendly, as expected of one of the most approachable reporters in the division. As opposed to the welcoming from Lieutenant Kyuuzou, it was warmer and full of wisdom in his words that one could not ignore him. If one was paying attention to the excitement of his Reiatsu, though smaller scale, they would perceive him to be a potential threat with such refined energy that is being emitted off his body. He intended to see if they were as capable as he thought. Would they able to sense such Reiatsu? It may be a test after all. Just a small friendly one. They might be impressed by Kyuuzou's power, but Jiro is, after all, a tiger. Do you know what cats eat? Indeed, the answer is fish. Jiro is a fighter whose potential is much untapped. Though, the flared energy halted almost immediately with such precision. With his eyes glued on the recruits to see if they had noticed. If they had not to notice. He would just smile and confirm that they had a long way to go.
"According to my lucky item..."
He looked at the compass which appears to be pointing at Jatiri.
"You, with the pointy hair? Are you the winner?"
He referred to him being the winner. If he guessed it correctly, he would praise the compass for being so lucky today. Feeding into the idea that his luck can be manipulated to be in his favor... when in truth. It could be a different machination for him.
"...I mean, if you don't mind leaning into sweat be my guest...but you'll have to pay a fee for that Shinobu-san...heh" was what his best friend had said. At that point, he could not help but be shocked at the then action. Simply unprofessional to be so in front of the new recruits. He brushed it off, ignoring what had transpired due to how much a pervert Kyu is. He could not convince him of his poor-taste habits. Believe it. He tried. And never again.
ghhhhhhh.png

"Say, SAY where's Oyabun?
I thought he was with you guys?"

He was quick to change the topic as the last time he heard of him. He went to pick some recruits up for the Ninth Division. But he wasn't here with them.
Where is he?

All he could do to take his mind on the coming dangers was to find some strength. To continue his progress. He never saw the Captains Haori as something to cling to. Always the underdog, Captain Maho sought more and more power whenever able. He was never satisfied with his fists. He'd always hoped this ideal transferred to his division members. But he could never truly be sure. Or so it felt. Many of them misfits in their own right. They seldom took orders well or acted out fully on them. Some were strong, other strong-willed. But prone to failure and arguments like anyone else. Sometimes it was hard to see them other than useless, though this was namely due to his protective nature. He had to think this way. Still...at the very least. He had faith in them still. He had to make sure he had the strength to both protect them and see them grow. He would need them one day...
Having found some solace in his newfound control, He allows himself to step-free from the pond. The sound of rustling water flushes the ear, spilling from his skin as he peels himself from its embrace. The air is cool as it rushes past his skin. Though now, his clothing is soiled. Maho sighs to himself, prying the top half of his kimono off, he tosses it in a nearby bin full of other clothes. With his Torso now exposed, he secures the olive sash at his waist, He circles around the room, wondering about almost aimless, until he takes a large plop in his desk chair.
Like the helm of a ship, it housed all the essentials of a captain. Countless piles of paperwork, small trinkets he had uncovered here and there. Where one side was "clean" namely of is items related to editing the SCC or other items related to the gathering and control of information, the other was littered with plant trimmings, ash and an assortment of fancy small knives used to do said "trimming". Both halves of his desk were like yin and yang, opposites that made one whole. It was like seeing both sides of Maho on display. Behind him in the opposite corner was a tent, within housed a number of plants hung to dry under a series of lamps. He slides around in his chair, and rummages around within for a few moments, before pulling forth a large bag of dried and cut herb. The bag was half empty, but the herbs themselves held a faint glow, making it clear that some form of energy emanated from them. Plopping it down, he rummages through and lets out a large pile onto the table where there remained empty space. He takes the previously dried leaf used to wrap the cigars, and with many of the custom, knives begin an almost intricate carving ritual. A knock on the door stalls his progress, at first, believing it to be Shinobu, is assumptions are made null upon hearing who's voice it was carrying through the barrier that was his office door.
""Shin'eki Uemura reporting Maho-Taichou."
He paused for a moment, proceeding to cut at his leaves. His voice comes through in a decisive tone.
"You may enter"
Expecting the young seventh seat to enter, he continues his process of surgically stripping the stems from the leaf. The small blade glides along each edge, separating it into a number of large strips. He finally peers up from his comforts, eyes meeting shins, despite them being hidden behind the dense strands of hair that lines his brow.
"So Shin'eki, today I will be sending you all on different assignments..."
He begins the process of quickly allocated a certain amount of herb to each cut of leaf. A calming process for the Captain, he does it without taking his eyes off Shin, who stands before him.
"We are waiting for Shinobu to bring the others along with her. Once they arrive I will deliver your briefing. You're free to hang out here until she arrives. Just...don't break nothin."
"Or ima break you..."

With each one filled now, he takes each piece and with a single lick seals each one in a finely wrapped cigar. Tightly bound and unlikely to break apart, Maho repeats this process in rapid succession a dozen or so times, until a small pile of cigars sits beside him. He dusts off his fingers, then lines each cigar in the black box he is so used to carrying around. Taking a look at his handy work, he exhales excitedly and closes it. Returning his attention to his Seventh seat, unknown to what he may or may not have been doing in the room itself.
" Also, Shin. I still expect your mission report. Hassle or not it has to be done.
543a6c26d5ec27a9fa4effade8b61805.gif

He leans back in his chair once more, his feet propping up on the surface of his desk where there was space. He takes a cigar in his lips and ignites its tip. He feels as though the smoke filters into his entire body the moment he inhales it. The rush of power within is palpable in large doses, though his body had grown accustomed to it. He stares at the cigar, focusing on the current feeling that overtook him due to its influence. Is it time for a new strain...?. He had always wondered how he could push the envelope. He hadn't known that his previous herbs could be of use, namely in mastering his Shunko. It is what became a means to igniting his flames. He began to wonder if there were any more uses to the herbs he smoked. The commander's blade...is something not even my eyes can catch... Maybe if he could find a way to slow things down just a bit more...
Lost in thought, Maho contemplates in stiff silence. Soon enough, the others would arrive and take with them his minuscule moment of peace, filling it with many of their antics.
Oh boy....

Drawing the Shoji door open, upon hearing his Taichou's invitation to enter, Shin'eki Uemura would stand before shutting the door behind him before standing opposite of Maho as their eyes meet.
"So Shin'eki, today I will be sending you all on different assignments...We are waiting for Shinobu to bring the others along with her. Once they arrive I will deliver your briefing. You're free to hang out here until she arrives. Just...don't break nothin; Or ima break you..."
Shin'eki would stand at attention before Maho-taichou fully understanding his Captain's request, Shin'eki's eyes watching as Maho's hands worked, seemingly performing like a masterful surgeon. Despite his instinctual urges to explore every nook and cranny within Captain Maho's quarters, a sense of fear as well as duty overcame him. Shin's attention would be directed back toward his Captain as he began to speak again.
"Also, Shin. I still expect your mission report. Hassle or not it has to be done."
Shin'eki's eyes would widen. (Paperwork? Then that means...) Shin'eki would bring his left arm to rest upon the tsuba of his zanpakutou. (So Kyuuzou-senpai had returned after all.) "Yes sir Taichou! ...Also, if I may interject, my reason for coming was to report our findings. Nothing was found out of the ordinary, however during this mission, I have the pleasure to say, that I've been able to learn of my Zanpakutou's name. During the time spent with Lt. Kyuuzou, I've been able to get a handle and deeper understanding of my Shikai; and because of this, I was wondering if I could perhaps, given the current absence, promote to the Sixth Seat, as it was stated prior that only those who possess an understanding of a shikai could obtain such a rank.
A light blemish would cover his cheeks, giving them a rosey hue as he looked toward Captain Maho with respect and admiration. It was no surprise that Shin'eki held the Ninth in high regard, since early days he'd managed to work diligently up the ranks, his dedication surely didn't go without notice. Gaining a spot within the Ninth's Kyodai, as well as an lower seat would further prove Shin'eki's sense of accomplishment to both himself as well as his superiors.
"How low will you stoop to get recognized boy? My how you infuriate me.....
A warm smile would creep along Shin'eki's face before his fist subsequently slammed into the tsuba of his Zanpakutou, silencing his Zanpakutou's spirit. "Sorry Taichou, I thought I felt a bug crawl on me!" His child-like behavior would finally reveal itself, before the sound of the Shoji Door opening caught his attention.

Easing herself upon his shoulders, her nostrils flared at the whiff of sweat emanating from him. His scent would linger on her, and she wouldn’t dare smell of a sweaty gym. Furrowing her brows, with her lip curling in disgust - she slithered away, her arms folded across her chest - before smoothing each flick of her blanched hair back into place.
Shinobu’s lavender eyes casted aside, giving her lips a mini pout. She heaved in, filling her lungs as the twinkle of her pearly white teeth returned with a smile. Though, it was a plastic smile. She had mastered her fake smile, down to the wrinkles circling her eyes.
”Jiro and Kyu are of the best here, so if you both need any adv-AAH!” Startled by the firm grasp of Kyu’s hand, her shoulders peaked with freight as she stirred forward. Her neck snapped back, the fury in her eyes were just the start, then came the strut and fires of fury, smoldering in her narrowed eyes as she weighed the pros and cons of the various and creative means available to her for exacting revenge. Moonflower's petals have fallen.

"........"
Her silence spoke for her, but in the presence of new recruits - she refused to leave a bad taste of their division in their mouths. You're lucky they're here, Kyu." Returning to her lips was her smile, though it did not quite meet her eyes.
"As I was saying, I-" Overcome with the reiatsu of the pink-haired Shinigami, it wasn't much until she felt as if her spotlight was dimming. Being centerstage was of the upmost importance to Shinobu, and she was one to become annoyed whenever all eyes weren't on her. One of her many flaws, and she dwelled in it. Releasing an annoyed rasp, "Jiro, be a sweetheart and put your reiatsu away. No one wants to feel it right now." Blissfully unaware of it being a test to the recruits
"NOW. I brought the recruits here for you to meet them. But also to collect the both of you too. Taichou is expecting all of us in his office." Merely answering Jiro's query of his whereabouts. They'd ought to split from the dojo soon if they wished to arrive on time, or else she'd be the one to be disciplined.

Kyuuzou.png

QaZSPte.png

Kyuuzou looked back at her with a warm smile only to have laughter follow, the LT continued to smile when he felt Jiro doing the most to let the new recruits know who he was, all Kyuuzou could do was roll his shamrock colored eyes while he agreed with Shinobu's statement in silence. He kept his arms folded and thought about her goofy, yet intriguing personality, coming from a rough background of being in the streets, Kyuuzou knew of her type all to well but he enjoyed Shinobu's flirtatious antics, as well as her flustered moments when she was not the center of attention. The koi sighed and shrugged his shoulders. He slid his hands into his pockets and hunched his back as he trudged forward, the man carried a distasteful look on his face as if he smelled something dead. Not only was his workout session ruined by the new recruits, but now his brother wanted a damn meeting. '...Man...I know for a fact this about to be a bunch of nothin' I feel like hearin'...wonder what Imma' do after the meeting though,' The koi thought. It was a beautiful day in the Soul Society and letting it go to waste was the last thing on Kyuuzou's agenda. Before he passed the two recruits he stared at Jatiri again, one look at the boy and Kyuuzou could see his worth and what type of guy he was, the vice-captain was rough around the edges but reading people and situations was his forte. He could see the new recruit had been through a lot in his life and wanted nothing more than to be good, at least that's what his aura felt like, Kyuuzou related to him in a sense as the two were somewhat cut from the same cloth. Without saying any words, Jatiri should have felt the koi's acceptance. Kyuuzou nudged his head to the side, signaling Jat to follow him to the Captain's office.
With so many thoughts stirring in his mind he recalled his past and thought about his days in the streets, Kyuuzou wasn't sure if he regretted his past or if he accepted it. From beating up the innocent to robbing them, his actions made him who he was today but he couldn't help but feel disgusted by himself at the same time.'Hey, you aren't that kind of guy anymore! You've come a long way so keep your head in the game because you made a vow to yourself to always keep goin'!' Kyuuzou smirked at Suto's little speech. "Shut up...who asked you." Suto's words rung true, Kyuuzou made a promise to himself to stay on his current path despite his delinquent behavior, but he also worked hard with dedication as an apology for the sake of those he tortured in the past and for the gang he ran with. One thing the Koi learned from the Dragon was that as long as you stay focused and keep trying you can see better days despite the L's that come in between. Not being a man of many words, despite his trash talk, of course, Kyuuzou expressed his feelings through action, and like the captain, he felt like the 9th was his family.
