Save for the gentle sniffling coming from one of the two children in her arms, the other had fallen fast asleep out of pure exhaustion, and the entourage was otherwise silent during their travels. She was placed far from Honoka, for the sake of no contact with her son, all under the watchful eye of Kyomu Mukuro. Her cheek gently nuzzles the tops of their heads as they grow closer and closer towards the First Division, and Akarui can feel the uneasiness oozing off of observers that remember the events of the alleged coup. However, with her being visible to those in the crowd, they are in quiet relief and consider the situation handled in a sense, even amongst the multiple prisoners in detainment.
“We’re almost there, children.”
She whispers to them gently. Their dried tears stain their skin and are now visible to her as they lift their heads and she wishes she was able to clean their faces. Holding back a small frown, she turns her attention to the guardsmen that stood in front of the barracks, and at her appearance to the front of the masses, the passage was quiet and easy up until the Captain had spoken up without any room for question, yet there was a soul that dared to step up and deny him. At least she’d taught her subordinates well, however, his emotions were clear, and Akarui had made a mental note to discipline him later.
“We’ve come to see the Commander.”
“The Commander is currently indisposed at the moment. No one is allowed to disturb him, I-”
“Step aside! what do you think you are doing?”
A familiar voice booms with fervor, and the third seat watches as the Head Lieutenant arrives to receive their party. Haruki perks up at the sight of Fuyuko but stays in his mother’s arms. Masahiro is quiet, looking around with anxiousness at all of his new surroundings and all of these new faces, yet dares not look at his own mother. Akarui catches Fuyuko’s gaze and lowers her head in respect to the young girl even as she breaks her gaze and observes the others in custody.
“Come Captain Mukuro, let’s not delay this any longer. Lady Kagayaki, if you could be so kind as to please find and inform the Captain Commander of our arrival. You can tell him that we will be in the meeting hall. Thank you.”
“Yes, Head Lieutenant.”
Orders were given, and she would follow suit. Before she could do so, she would have to forfeit the children, however, she was unsure of who exactly to leave them to. With luck, she set her sights on Enji Aikawa, who had greeted them outside of the barracks to let them inside. She beckons him, and he comes swiftly, without argument. Haruki is as familiar with Enji as he is with Fuyuko, greeting the shinigami with respect, and Enji only smiles at him. As Enji’s attention turns to Masahiro, there is surprise and confusion, but with a single look from his superior, he thinks and holds his tongue. Placing the children down, Akarui kneels to be with them face-to-face before addressing them.
“I understand that this is confusing, but you two need to be the best little boys that you can be, alright? I have work to do, but you will see me again very soon. Until then, Aikawa-san will stick with you, and you’ll treat him with the same respect, yes?”
The topic of Masahiro will surely be discussed promptly, however, his mother will be questioned first and foremost if she guesses correctly. He would be secured and watched over. A capable member of the First Division would overlook them until it was time, and on top of that, members of the Onmitsukidō, unless their Captain draws them back. However, they all resided within the First Division, an ultimate fortress within an even larger encampment of thousands of soldiers. Enji caters to the children with snacks as he guides them to a secure location, breaking away from the rest of the party, and Akarui is left in her lonesome for a moment in time before she too moves.
The Commander...
He was currently occupied with the Vizards, however, their session would end very quickly by the severity of the current situation. Higen had beaten and broken them over and over again for well over a century, and throughout that century, she'd worked generously and diligently to do as he had ordered her since that day. Her work had come to an end due to the impatience of the Central 46 since it was not her husband that had sent the order for the Mukuro boy to act as he did. Honoka returned albeit in cuffs, as did a couple of others that had gotten caught in the crossfire, however, to Akarui, they were hardly any concern: bugs that just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Akarui pulls out her device and checks if there have been any updates regarding the situation with the Vizards among the other little alerts that plagued her cracked phone. The 15th replacement had lasted rather long until recently, and she kept forgetting that she would have to get a new one. Confirming that they were still in battle, she makes her way over to the field of chaos, and with every step that she grew closer to that place, the bloodlust that oozed off of these four individuals were thickly palpable. If not for the current circumstances, she would normally be waiting at his office to give her report, but everything had begun to fall into place, and things were sped up much more quickly. This place was a mess, filled with black ooze and destruction. Blood wafted in the air, and the power struggle of those three against their Commander was more than apparent. From what she could see, her husband had to have been bombarded to look so ragged. Not wanting to jump into the fray to catch their attention, she chooses a simpler one. Exhaling softly, Akarui slowly begins to expound her reiatsu in gentle waves that are neither harmful nor destructive to her environment. Their concentration would break from each other to focus on the new entity that joins them in order to catch their attention.
“I apologize for the interruption, however, your attendance is necessary in the meeting hall, Commander Kagayaki. There is something that needs your immediate attention.”
It was time to stop as other things have become the Commander's new priority. Akarui calls out to him and bows her head down; her expression is filled with resignation. She does not wish to disclose anything as of yet, especially to the other ears that linger in the area. The woman stays unmoving otherwise, her hands at her sides, standing in wait of him.
