“Breathe, or you’ll miss your mark.”
Unbeknownst to him, Blume was severely empathetic, so even though he may have smiled, the pain that swelled inside of him was all apparent to the young florist, but she too kept a face as if she hadn’t the slightest idea of his inner turmoil. On her end, while he may have thought that she was just stubborn or independent, Blume always had the underlying fear that one day, should she choose to find someone, she may be the very cause of their demise. It wouldn’t be on purpose, but until she can find a way to control herself, there’d be no intimacy until then.
"Hai, hai.”
The silence that followed caused Blume to observe him further as he diverted his attention solely to the television and what was being broadcasted. Another attack, and several dead. Video footage of what appeared to be the man in front of her playing hero earned a small hum of impression. However, at the shift in news, Blume could feel his displaced feelings, and the rustling of his wallet once again brought her attention to his physical being.
"3000 yen, Mikoto-san.”
While he was a precious patron, the business was still business, and she had things to pay for. While handling the transaction, Blume had still been listening to the news and decided to gauge Kimura’s reaction regarding the incident.
"The Masked Avenger. He’s done the same thing you have to an extent. Saving people indirectly, of course, but still saving them. Let us be grateful to this Verteidiger. While our law enforcement may find the order shattered, one less person has to perish, don’t you agree?”
Blume would have been handling his bills and returning a receipt and change -- if needed -- to complete the transaction. While she may have sounded entirely oblivious towards the subject at hand, she had to be careful of just how she worded things.
“If you had the chance to save someone, wouldn’t you take it? Would you save them because you can, or would you find it as a way to atone for your Sünde, and alleviate the Schuld?”
