A simple greeting from one person to another leads to sudden hostility. The young man is told he is being detained because of orders given to the Shinigami. A sword is aimed at him and soon after that he is surrounded by other Shinigami who look ashamed of what they are doing. The one who is leading them feels as if this weighs heavily on him, seemingly put between a rock and a hard place with these orders of his. Dominic stood in silence during this strange situation, it was certainly whiplash as he could not understand what was going on, weren’t the Shinigami and Quincy on tolerable terms? It doesn’t matter, they are hostile now and he needs to get back to Blume to warn her and to play his role as guard against the Shinigami who may descend upon them at any given moment. However Dominic is not the type of person to run away, when he has a say in the matter anyway. This Shinigami Lieutenant should have looked the other way and moved along with his duties.
Round One
Katsuo is aiming his blade at Dominic, he must be ready for the young man to form a bow, to fire a projectile. He is not ready for what is to come because what his blade is aimed at, what all the shinigami are looking at with shame in their eyes and hearts is the afterimage of a man who doesn’t give a damn about their lives.

Crouched low, out of Katsuo’s field of view is Dominic’s actual position, he has moved in close, very close, to Katsuo. Reishi in the area around Dominic being heavily manipulated to his advantage. Unlike most Quincy who use Reishi to form bows and arrows Dominic does not have to do this and so his focus of Reishi manipulation is placed elsewhere. His body positioned to block the swing of the Lieutenant’s blade, his left arm hovering over his own stomach to protect it from any sudden kicks and his right arm is gone. His strike moves so fast it is lost from visual perception, all of this transpiring within the blink of an instant. This martial arts master has closed the gap and launched his strike at the blonde headed Shinigami’s gut. As it makes contact a wave of pain erupts within Katsuo, this is not an ordinary punch to the stomach as his fist buries itself into his gut and begins to push upwards. This is a full force uppercut to the stomach that ruptures all organs caught in its path, that includes those behind the ribs as the punch moves itself upwards.
The force and speed of the blow coming into contact with a stationary object like Katsuo causes a violent reaction, a bloody, and brutal reaction. The inertia and transfer of momentum of the blow is so catastrophic that it causes the organs being pushed upward from the punch to expel from the mouth of Katsuo. If the punch damaging organs does not kill then choking of blood, and bile will kill him, if this does not kill then surely the expelling of his internal organs will be what ends him.
It is rare Dominic gets to throw punches like this where he holds nothing back. This man lives up to his old nickname of Guillotine.

Dominic thought to outspeed someone who has a large amount of speed? He wouldn't let Dominic know he saw him move in close until he was right on Katsuo. That would be when he moved his eyes down, signifying to Dominic he fell for the trap. Katsuo wanted him to get in close, if he could.
So it was to be a fight… great… Katsuo thought as he raised his reiatsu and caught matching Dominic's physical strength against his free arm, which was protected by his own reiatsu and bolstered by armored iron weights. Dominic made a grave mistake, deciding on close Combat with Katsuo. It was something the Shinigami loved doing alongside using his zanpakuto. Dominic would feel himself defended against rather easily, given Katsuo's level of reiatsu control and power. He wasn't a lieutenant for nothing….
"Reign Triumphant, Eikogitsune."
Soon, Dominic would realize this course of action would be a regretted one, as the energy of the blade in Katsuo's other hand became unbelievably hot, changing the temperature around the both of them, but, it seemed the temperature rise wasn't effecting Katsuo in the slightest, where as due to Dominic's close proximity… he would begin to feel his body sweat, and skin burn.
The blade burst with a yellow field around it, Katsuo twists his wrist so the blade was facing upward, an uppercut of this sauder blade would definitely remove Dominic's arm, should he not evade the swift movement. Thankfully he would not bleed out, but good luck reattaching the arm, for it would have cauterized and ruined all the veins within. Katsuo would push Dominic back a few inches after, drawing the other blade from the very arm Dominic punched, that shielded Katsuo's organs. This one would feel… painfully cold should Dominic get near. His skin would begin to feel the effects, burning, painful burning, but from two different reasons.
Katsuo would jump back about six feet, and should Dominic continue, he'd have no choice but to defend himself. The other members stood back, and cast Hainawa, as Katsuo lept back, sending Kido chains out to wrap around the Quincy. Katsuo could only wonder where Shizuka was at this point, as he took a stance and readied to defend himself once more, the twin blades working together in tandem side by side, only affecting those Katsuo deemed enemy… which at this point was poor Dominic. Surely he understands, as Katsuo does, as to why the young one was acting out. They both had something they had to protect… Should Dominic continue, Katsuo's next target would be his other arm… as The Warrior who did not kill.
The thought of.. Releasing his seal came to mind seeing as there was a lot of killer intent on the Quincy right now. He'd look back at two Division thirteen members who nodded, and darted off into the city. Below they would hide themselves and send out a bulletin to anyone nearby.
Quote:"Division Thirteen Lieutenant engaging Quincy subject."
The other one would use his device to record any data on Dominic's fight with their Lieutenant and other Division members as they could.
Katsuo looked back at Dominic, and stood ready for his next move. The Shinigami pressed a button on his headphones, and techno music started playing. It was obvious he was ready to dance, as clones of himself started fading in and out in front of Dominic, should he escape the confines of the Hado Chains, his best option would be to not be a sitting target any longer. This was not going to be an easy kill for Dominic.

The brave Shinigami was assured that he was the superior in this exchange, perhaps hundreds of years of doing this job has given him this confidence. Rightly so as Dominic would be the same way, give it three hundred more years and Dominic will, without a doubt, become a god of martial arts. This situation has gone south rather quickly considering this all started with an innocent “hello”. It may have started with just a Hello but it will end with them parting ways in silence.
Unfortunate Reality
Katsuo was foolish to let Dominic close in on him, a man who specializes in close quarters combat, whose entire life was centered around it. That Shinigami was able to follow his footwork, his Hirenkyaku however, the Shinigami failed to acknowledge the speed of Dominic’s punch. Whatever superiority complex he held in his mind over Dominic is swiftly shattered as the punch connects before he can move his hand into position. Did he not find it odd that Dominic’s arm just vanished from sight? Did he not think to retreat backwards with his own speed to avoid the strike? No, Katsuo was sure of himself, sure that he could stop the punch and stand strong, but now, he crumbles and folds instead. The punch lands, the damage, catastrophic as his organs rupture and are forced upwards out of his mouth with a violent expulsion.
More than this, those surrounding them, Katsuo included, have the Reishi platforms at their feet suddenly shatter subjecting them to the gravity of the Earth. Yes, The Reishi in the area Dominic was manipulated were their footholds, without them they could not stand in the air with Dominic. With nothing holding Katsuo’s body up the fist would be driven deeper, behind his ribcage now. Even if Katsuo perceived the punch the collapse of the platforms would have thrown his guard off the mark causing the punch to collapse and destroy his ribcage and everything it protects. Now a lifeless husk on his arm he lets him go, the Lieutenant, dead, from a single punch. If this is what the Shinigami had to offer in terms of combat then they aren’t much to be worried about. The other Shinigami had plummeted to the ground, unable to make new platforms thanks to Dominic, he fired arrows at them, obliterating them. Dominic looks at the corpse of the Lieutenant falling to the ground and with a single index finger, launches an arrow strong enough to obliterate his body as well.
With his death being so swift any other Shinigami would notice although his call for help would never leave his mouth. Dominic is silent and furious as his sights are now set on the Diamante Manor, he has to warn the Empress, the Shinigami are not to be trusted.

Blume scrolled through her phone, listening to the music through her headphones while she sat at her desk surrounded by a series of towers of paper that related to the forge and business with Stephania Brand. She was dressed rather casually, in a white, loose-fitting, shoulderless top and sweatpants. The empress didn’t have any important meetings to be had that required to have dressed up as she was always known for. For the past two days, she was sure that Jeuno had recovered and perhaps Dominic had informed Lukas about the events after he’d entered the Schatten Bereich before he returned back to Karakura to keep watch on her. Even while she’d asked to be left alone for a while, her bodyguard had kept close enough to come when and if she needed him. For the time being, she knew that he’d gone for a jog around the outskirts, so perhaps he would be back in a bit.
The pain began to settle in her lower back, and she straightened herself up with a soft groan. Being hunched over for too long wouldn’t be good for her posture, so she took this as a sign for a break and she stood up from her desk and headed out towards the kitchen with phone in hand. Blume was essentially alone, graced with nothing but silence as she roamed down the marble halls to grab a drink when a buzzing sensation caught her attention and she lifted the phone up to where the lit screen faced her with a message from a particular little lightning bolt. It was a simple message.
Code:
“I’m coming.”
Coming?
Blume stood there for a bit with a blank look on her face when the realization hit that her little muse would be dropping by for a visit. She cursed under her breath and then looked down at herself, groaning even more and she managed to find a mirror to at least fix her hair, braiding the sides of her hair down and folding it into a bun with a blue ribbon to hold it in place. Thick locks of her hair framed her face gently and she threw her head back to give it a more airy feel to it. She gave herself a once-over and strongly considered dressing in something a bit more easy-going but the sound of the doorbell echoing throughout the house made her flinch and she sighed.
“Whatever… This should be fine.”
Down the halls, Blume had finally come to the door and took a second longer, staring at the handle. Usually he would have given her a heads-up ahead of time, so she found this particular visit to feel… rushed. There was a bit of hair standing up on the back of her neck but she quickly swiped that feeling away with the back of her hand. Maybe it was just her excitement; it’d been a bit since their last time together. Perhaps this was a surprise?

Blume unlocks the door and comes face-to-face with the Tenth Division’s lieutenant and gets real close. She found herself looking up at him, even just slightly. Her gaze dropped down from his face, looking over every inch of him with a small smile formed on her face once she locked eyes with him once more.
“Hyouzoku-kun? Don’t just stand there. Come in.”
Noticing him just standing there looking rather lost, she reaches for his hand, lacing their fingers together while pulling him inside past the door and closing it right behind him. He looks rather disheveled after his travels and she moves her hands everywhere, smoothing down his teal strands to settle back in place and adjusting this shihakusho top from looking so loose. Doing so allowed an inside peek to the blue compression top that clung to his torso like a second skin. She moved rather comfortably, and without hesitation at that. Running her hands against his sleeves, Blume casts a longing glance before releasing him from her touch.
“So what brings you here? You usually text a couple days ahead of time, so I wasn’t expecting anyone, let alone you.”

Despite all of the feelings that he harbored for the beautiful empress, he was surprisingly calm for this encounter. Unprecedented, was the way you could describe this meeting. The two were not a normal couple, after all. Time, preparation, and, coordination required the two of them to meet every time. Strictly based off of the fear the two have of being found out by their respective races. Despite all of this though, Shizuka stood resilient. He could sense her valiant and graceful reiatsu even before he stood in front of the door. To feel her presence suddenly move closer and closer to him, finally spurred that slight anxiety that slumbered in his heart. With a small click, the door was unlocked and Shizuka was standing face to face with the Empress herself. Awestruck at her effortless beauty, his eyes wandered down swiftly, going from her effervescent and glowing blue eyes. All the way down to her glossed lips that gave off it’s own perfect shine.
Hyouzoku-kun? Don’t just stand there. Come in.”

“Oh… yea”
He immediately snapped out of his trance, and began to be led by the woman into the expansive manor. Being slowly walked down the halls, with his fingers as the leash. Shizuka began to ponder to himself how he was going to word his proposition to Blume. While they never often composed conversation about their “professions”. It was an unspoken fact that they didn’t believe heavily into the history of their respective groups. The nonsensical cold war, the temporary ceasefire. Shizuka vowed to himself he wouldn’t lay his hands on a Quincy directly under Blume’s command. He was assuming heavily that she would do the same, not to jeopardize their relationship. In the middle of his complicated thoughts, the seductive temptress began to move her hands across his seams of his outfit. His shihakusho invaded by the soft touch of the woman. Reaching to his chest, that was protected by the very thinnest layer of apparel he wore. Caressing his skin, Shizuka could feel the subtle passion she had towards him. Although for his own case, he was feeling a lot more. She relinquished her touch upon him, and began to look up at the Vice Captain.
“So what brings you here? You usually text a couple days ahead of time, so I wasn’t expecting anyone, let alone you.”
It was time for action. He let out a small gulp out of hesitation. Quickly cleaning it up with a dignified cough.
“We’ve gotta talk about the Humans, Blume.”
He reached out both of his hands to grab ahold of Blume. Locking a ever so soft grip on both of her arms, while he pulled her slightly closer to him. His steel blue eyes commanding a respective gaze from her own.
“I know we’ve received some type of help from the Fullbringers over the course of time but, we’ve been ordered to deal with them. Whether it’s by detaining them with imprisonment or death. I came here to ask for your help on the whereabouts and abilities of some of Fullbringers, along with a little help of detaining them as well.”
Shizuka didn’t want to spill the full details. He always held bits and pieces of information from Blume. In his mind he’d be committing full treason if he did so, while in the eyes of others there’d be no difference. It was essential Blume offered some slight assistance to Shizuka. With the Kenpachi Games enroute, and the manpower drastically down in the World of the Living. The Shinigami needed to get a win this time around, even if it was through unconventional methods. It all comes back to his former Captain in his mind. Him abandoning his post, greatly decreased the hold on Naruki City. With the deaths of Kuro Yakimono, Ryuga Iba, and disappearance of Gorou Nagatomo, 10th Division was slowly dying.
He had to find a way to make a change.
