Hiroka expected the relocation of the Captain after the release of the explosion, he didn’t bank on the attack even landing damage upon someone capable of a mastery of Kido. Though he wasn’t prepared for the implementation of a barrier while still preparing another. Despite this preparation, Tenzen closed the gap faster than he expected, looking back as the distance became too close for comfort. He sees as his weapon is released from the binding of his Tendoriru o Tanoshimu. The man simultaneously followed up his disarming of Hiroka with an attempt at a lightning fast attack. Hiroka’s expression at the moment of this unexpected pacing caused a widening of his eyes in the surprise of such a quick reaction to the release of his shikai’s Tsuihō technique. However this shift lasted for a moment before it shifted back to his wicked smile, his antagonist adding a phrase to his chant.
Ikarihime while charged was like a deadman’s switch. The weapon was incredibly unstable, force fed a ton of spiritual energy by the absorption of the charged smoke. Contained within the clutches of Hiroka’s spiritual energy the weapon’s destructive power was contained until he desired the release of the energy. However dislodged from his grasp, there was nothing stopping the flood of explosive force. This also removed the option of control from Hiroka, meaning the force, form, and amount of power behind the attack would not be honed, yet instead wildly thrown out.
That knowledge was something the young shinigami had accounted for should something happen to the arm or bindings that held his weapon. A contingency thought out before the start of the conflict, another one however that he did not perceive as something that would occur as early as it has. The launching of the blade from the removal of Hiroka’s grasp on the weapon had thrown Ikarihime backwards behind the two of them. Though before it could gain enough distance the weapon sparked, igniting the air around it and releasing the contained blast with force significantly stronger than the first blast. This crash of flame and smoke engulfed the two while Hiroka allowed the force of it to throw himself forward several dozen meters. The blast prevented a loss of his limb from the man's attack but he still sustained a gash within his right shoulder that caused enough damage to limit the movement and control of the corresponding arm.
He knew immediately the damage the attack had done, not needing to take any time to access the wound. His outfit was even tattered a bit from the blast, exposing his seal patch on his chest. Hiroka performed a shunpo in the direction of his dislodged zanpakuto, grasping it within his hand, feeling the heat on it’s hilt that was typically mitigated while in his control. He didn’t desire to give the Captain another chance to move with the smokescreen left from the explosion, swiftly causing the entirety of the lingering exhaust to be consumed by Ikarihime. While it fed on the smog it gained even more power than it did the previous time. Hiroka weakly raised his right hand and clutched at his Yūgure no Hiru, tearing it away as if he was trying to quickly rip off a bandaid. He did not want to give his opponent the opportunity to fully finish his incantation, despite being unsure of which combative kido it specifically was.
The release of this reiatsu bind immediately causes an outward flood of his crimson spiritual pressure which almost seemed to be boundless. An image of a horrifying entity entangled within the form of his power looked out to the heavens frozen in a shape of ragefully screaming. Hiroka wastes no time after removing the bind, rushing into the position of the Kido Master, halting a meter before the man. Thrusting his weapon out before him, stabbing the air and then turning it like a key.
”Boom.” The male said simply as a brilliant red burst of spiritual energy coursing along the superheated air floods from his zanpakuto outward towards Tenzen, immediately igniting the air before him. The force of this explosion rivalled that of an Espada-level Cero.
The sheer might of the blast threw Hiroka backwards though this time he contained his propulsion and simply slid back along the air about fifteen meters. He stands keeping his eye trained on the location of the detonation, drawing in a bit of the smoke but immediately venting it out around his form. The intention being to remove the shroud of the cloud, but not allowing Ikarihime to absorb the energy, allowing it to cool down from that copious amount of thermal energy. While a bit longer of a time than the first full assimilation of the smoke, it still only took a few seconds before the cloud was completely dispersed from the area. The vented heat still lingering in the air around the now unshackled shinigami. His mind having already convinced himself of a follow-up course of actions, should the assault of explosions not have significantly damaged his opponent.
