KANG!
......
TING!
.........
CLANG!
Again, over and over, the tangy sound of swords clashing rang over and over, the sound echoing out, over and over. With each effortlessly, yet immensely heavy swing. The entire structure of the area quaked as if high magnitude earthquakes devastated the area. Yet, the room in which Jinnosuke was in, was perfectly calm. Not a single thing was out of place as he lay there. His body, now in a state of depravity after the physical trauma with shattering his skeletal structure had caught up with him. Looked like a shriveled up version of himself. After Junko, and Captain Nakamoto left along with Shoumetsu. Jinnosuke had received the requested haircut and was now laying close eyed under the covers of the hospital bed.
Yet inside, the spiritual world of Jinnosuke's Zanpakuto Musaboru Ikari; The giant purple faces would be sent flying, crushed into hundreds of pieces as they clashed swords inside Daiyūkai Shiyō: The Great Roar of the Astral World (大幽界嘯だいゆうかいしょう,)

Ikari deflected Jin's slash yet again by finding the perfect position to counter. Jinno's sword bounced off Ikari's own as she closed the short gap between them. Her dominant hand left the blade she was holding, catching it with her right, while that same hand took refuge on top of Jinnosuke's angered face. Suddenly he was staring at the eclipsed moon in the abyssal rifts sky as his back was crunched into the forehead of the face they currently fought on. Where there would typically be thousands of faces lining the world they were in, only a few remained.
fb602a48635318e0db11229c4a4a5c9d.png

Standing to his feet, Jin lifted his sword above his head and looked at Ikari. " Round eight hundred forty two? Eh? Ikari?" He laughed after saying this, Ikari turned to him, lowering her sword and simply shook her head, signaling they were done. A shit eating grin on her face as she waved Jinnosuke over to her. " No more? What you scared now that I'm finally warmed up?!" Several voices laughed in unison, Ikari thought it was funny. Jinno walked over to her, wiping some dust off his chin and planting his Zanpakuto into the stone face as he reached her.
' Focus on your outside surroundings Jinnosuke.' The same seven voices almost sung.
He did, he felt the his room of the treatment area. It was Empty, Just himself with Ikari resting over his lap.
' Keep going,'"You good for nothing loaf. Time to get up!”
He didn't even hear the door crash open, or feel the shaking nurse trailing her. Both of their reaitsu masked the entire hospital at this point. His eyes came open and he stared at Omoni. Was he dreaming? Was he finally malnourished to the point of deliria. She moved her hand to his face and suddenly he would be overcome with a familiar feeling. Intense heat scaling from his face to his toes. Then the blue flames and the healing effects of Omoni's Zanpakuto. This time however, Each inch of his body seemed to twitch and pop as the bones went from virtually dust to solid again. The feeling, was weird and indescribable.
A rush filled his body, as the euphoria of the healing was now over his entire body. He closed his eyes, Returning to his spiritual world with Ikari.
" Look's like we finally get to go solve everyone's problems aye Ikari." Jinnosuke laughed as he took his sword from the stone face where he had left it. Once he removed it Ikari had used a brief shunpo to halt him and put her hand on his wrist preventing him from leaving.
' Jinnosuke, wait. Something is strange about Namakizu ' Her several voices sounded worried, a emotion she hardly ever shows. Jinnosuke raised an eyebrow; " You're actin' weird Ikari? What's up? " The same worried voices sung back to him. ' We have been healed many times by Namakizu, and while we are still being healed something is wrong with Namakizu... Namakizu is injured Jinnosuke! You must warn Omoni of this. Whatever Enemy we face, they are formidable. '
Injured? Omoni's Zanpakuto was injured? Jinnosuke looked into Ikari's eyes with a deadly serious. He nodded and she released his wrist. The world fading around him as he opened his eyes once more.

Looking over to Omoni after having only a small matter of time go by, Jinnosuke felt the flames receding and the heat dying down. Her hand taken away Jinnosuke took Ikari from his lap and for the first time in what felt like years. Stood up from the bed. The feeling of strength in his body was indescribable. There was no debate in the matter, he was vastly stronger than than his bulky self of the past. Yet something still remained, due to the quick loss of mass his body was still shriveled. The malnourished look had faded yet he was still too skinny. He stood in front of the mirror in his room as Omoni looked at him with an intense seriousness. The grumpy face that stole his heart. Although he'd never tell this to her. He let her scowl at the back of his head as he stared at his body in the mirror, with an obvious frown.
“ Move it, we gotta get to Karakura town.”
He couldn't even look at her with this skinny frame. It wasn't a warriors body. He hated doing it, yet he was prepared. He reached for the duffle bag of supplies he had Shoumetsu drop off when he came to get his orders. Inside was a huge bucket with a jar of powder and a jug filled with approximately 4 gallons of water in it. Taking the bucket and the water jug, Jinno opened it and poured the water into the bucket. The purified water sloshed around before settling. Then he reached for the powder, opening it as well and dumping the contents into the bucket. This powder was sugars extracted from fruits grown in 11th division, mainly strawberries.
b482030f35ad2a8abbbb8bbdea4dfd70.png

He took his hand and mixed the contents together until they were a unified liquid. He would look over to Omoni and explain; " Muscles and the nutrients in my body have gone to shit even with the I.V drip. Let me slam this to regain my muscle mass and energy. Then ill put some clothes on and we can go. You got everything?" He would then lift the bucket up while standing and begin to tip it backwards to his mouth. Making sure that every drop of water was drank.

The effects were almost immediate. Even before he was finished drinking the mixture his body seemed to glow. Omoni would immediately notice his Reiatsu was lighter, almost pink as he regained muscle tone and mass. Lifting the bucket finally all the way up to finish it, a clank and thud as he tossed the bucket back to the ground. A deep breath exhaling from Jinnosuke as he flexed his entire body. Muscles bulged with minimal effort, he threw a few mock punches and then leapt into the air a few times. Finally he stopped and turned to a wardrobe in the corner of the room. Reaching in and grabbing his typical outfit he would for the first time tie his Lieutenants badge around his left arm. His hands tying it tight around his bicep. Remember the fight with Nibui and how he allowed Jinnosuke to wear this badge.
Hoisting his Zanpakuto on his shoulder he turned and faced Omoni with his old confidence.

" It's about time you showed up, i was worried that thing killed ya. " He would smile as if laughing at his own joke, but in truth he was happy to see her. Walking over to her he would nod over to the door and with her beside him, would guide her back the way she came. He wasn't going to allow her to get them lost on their way back towards Central and Fifth Division. He knew enough to know their destination was the Senkaimon gate there. Once they got there and the magic nerds were doing their gate prep, Jinnosuke figured he could talk to Omoni about Ikari's warning. Until then he would not stop for anyone.
His feet clacked against the tiles and then went silent as he leapt from row to row. Clearly set towards Central and Fifth.

“Tch!”
Her? Die?! Killed by that hellspawn?! The thought of it caused Omoni’s casual scowl to intensify as if she had been suddenly offended. Being forced to join up with the damned muscle head had been enough but for him to have assumed she’d been trounced was down right infuriating. Honestly, now that she thought about it there really was not one moment that she didn’t feel tremendous irritation when dealing with Jinnosuke Ueku and the most annoying thing of all was the fact that she didn’t have the faintest clue as to why.

“ Meet me outside I need to do something first , we’ll go to the gate and get back there to ruin this creep and--”
Regardless, Hageshi fought that unpleasant feeling away so that she could turn from him and head for the door while openly discussing the current state of the plan. The nurse who had followed her into his room quickly came to her side and tugged on Omoni’s sleeve to get her attention. It seemed not only was she alone in the hospital room, she’d been talking to herself.
“ E-excuse me...Lieutenant Hageshi?”
“Huh?”
“He’s gone.”

Omoni’s angry leer shot toward the bed that Jinnosuke had been residing in only to find that he was indeed gone and she had been essentially talking to herself. The nurse’s eyes shifted from the spot Omoni was glaring at and then back to the massive woman rapidly until they decided the safest choice would be to change the subject matter entirely.
“ A-anyway…I was going to go and find Oyama Hoshi and then take her report! Is there anything else I can do for you before you go Lieutenant?”
A gentle sigh escaped Hageshi, it seemed that the brute had been so eager to get going he had indeed abandoned her to her own devices. Most likely entirely unintentional, there was something that she had to do that kept her planted or she would have leapt out the window with him and headed to their destination. As she and the young nurse exited the room she pointed down the hallway as a means of expressing her next words.
“ Have it sent to Fourth Seat Emi Kurochi, then tell her to document it and then send it to me.”
“ Yes Vice Captain!”

With her business concluded, Omoni turned and began to head quickly in the opposite direction towards her office. When the nurses voice chimed up once more but this time it was softer. There were inflections of worry staining her final words.
“Please bring the Captain back….we need him.”
Omoni paused for a second, locking eyes with the nurse who most might have said stepped over out of her boundaries. What Hageshi saw was genuine concern for her leader instead and to her it was reason to calm rather than reason to reprimand. Yu was not like the Captains of yore who seemed to only care about power and pride. He had always made his one and only desire to care for his comrades the highest of priorities. He was not only looked up to by all of the fourth division but there were those that truly cared for him. He was loved. Honestly, the great woman never understood that sort of holier than thou attitude that plagued most in positions of authority. To her, everyone was either helping to make the Seireitei a better place or they weren’t. It was simple. A quick nod and she headed off disappearing around the nearest corner.
ff7171a7ab76e79b56493532beda3841.png

Busy bees bustled about nearly bumping into Omoni but thankfully did not. It was a fast paced and in that wing rather disruptive time of the night so that woman swiftly opened and shut the door behind her which provided her with an instant silence. Silence in which this monstress walked to her desk and pulled open a single wooden drawer. After a minute of searching, she drew out a small mahogany box and stuffed it into her bosom. Then, she took thirteen paces to the right ending up in the center of the space. Next, Omoni knelt down and unfastened a loose board and lifted it off of the ground. After that, she reached into the darkness of the floor and retrieved something wrapped in a tattered cloth which she stuffed away into the security of her breasts as well.
. There wasn’t a second left to spare looking into what it had been, as soon as she had come she was gone with another frightened squad member dragged along to guide her to the gate since she’d been abandoned. All and all, they were not more than a few dashes behind Jinnosuke and would meet him at the gate in a timely manner.

“ Take these two. Give them beds and see to their care and comfort. Either one of ‘em die and it’ll be your heads now MOVE.”

With the noble being taken away as quick as possible she felt freedom. Even if he was unconscious being around him felt like she was being watched like an inmate with her own personal guard. Though still she was in a hospital setting, a place most people didn’t like being in. More so for her as her abnormal reiatsu fluctuations, change in physical appearance, albeit minor alteration if no one was paying attention to Oyama’s eyes.

“ You did pretty good out there. It was tough but you survived. Find me some other time if ya wanna get stronger. Oh, and someone’s gonna come around to get your report so give ‘em what they need.”

Words of encouragement for her other half yet Furia, took it all the same; even giving a small grin as Omoni took off. Shortly after the departure of Omoni, Furia had started to look around for an exit amongst the semi busy hallway before spotting it exit sign. Slowly she made her away towards this exit.
OYAMA HOSHI! You have to wait for someone to get a report from you!
Another voice cried out. Stopping Furia in her tracks and turning around to address the nurse.
“But Omoni was there, she should be able to fig-”
It didn’t take long for two other nurses to grip onto Furia’s shoulders and arms. To this she blinked and looked at both by turning side; only seeing the two nurses only smiling, before dragging her towards a vacant room. All the while She had been kicking her legs about and thrashing side to side in a failed escape, however these nurses were far to used to dealing with stubborn patients like Furia. All the two did was smile at her, before being tossing on to a bed. All she could was blink and look at the nurses as they took their leave of the room. It wouldn’t be long before hearing the door open up.
“M-miss Oyama?”
cb5d731ba7f7264a124daa037d992f97.png

“For now no, but I assume you’re the one looking for the report.”
“Y-yes… But if you’re n-”
“Enough… All you need to know is that for the current moment I help you out with this report. After all I was there.”

A confused and concerned look was on the nurse’s face as she looked at girl she thought was Oyama. While the girl that was sitting on the bed stared back at the nurse. A smile across her face that was considered unsettling for most. Even more so for the nurse who was in the room alone with the darker half of Oyama. Though the tension broke once Furia finally decided to give her report on the Togabito.
“The Togabito was an infamous hollow known as sword eater. It was killed by the Lieutenant of 10th, and has now come back as it is now. The Togabito, doesn’t just follow his name sake, he has the ability to duplicate anything he consumes, such as Kidō, quincy arrows and a zanpakutō abilities; had there been a cero discharged it would have more than likely used that too. It also becomes resistant if not immune to those abilities. It already absorbed several abilities thus far, the Reshi absorbing ability of a quincy, the lightning effects of another, the void creating ability of Shinjitsu Kyo, and the healing abilities of Lieutenant Omoni Hagashi herself… It more than likely has the abilities of Captain Nakamoto’s zan and the 11th division member assigned to him. Hmm… I believe one of the quincies managed to land a blow upon the Togabito… However, it did recover… Maybe just maybe… they can catch it by surprise and kill it.”
Furia’s eyes diverted down to her zanpakutō for moment as she mentioned the healing capabilities, before returning her gaze upon the nurse who was writing down all the notes she could. For the most part Furia had been patient with the woman, but she was growing anxious by the minute. As time ticked on, she finally had enough, Furia the ever so darker half of Oyama managed to pin the Nurse against the wall.
“I have nothing more to add to this report, I’ll be headed out, I see no need to stay in this division. If anyone asks where I am tell them that I am resting and should not be disturbed.
A quick gulp was heard from the nurse before nodding. With haste the woman would quickly make her way out of the room and begin her search for their 4th seat, while Furia had taken off from 4th division.
“There you are! Fourth seat Kurochi, I was told to hand this report to you and tell you to send it to Omoni. ”

Little time was spent with Jinnosuke before her work was complete, hands hovered over him with a blue glow enveloping them; seeping into his body and seeking out his injuries. This was to say nothing of Junko's healing prowess or ability- she was simply no longer needed. The familiar sensation of Omoni-san's reiatsu incoming with such a fury immediately stopped her movement. Raising a hand she beckoned the nurses to clear away from the man before stepping away herself. Having retreated to the hallway just outside of the doorway to his room before the woman became visible, Junko had to work hard to keep her excitement contained. Bright eyes following her as she barked her orders and got to work, the small shinigami was practically squirming.
Relief mixed with the simple joy of seeing the vice Captain once again after having been gone so long. It still rang true as well that other duties had kept her from being able to accompany her to the World of the Living as well, an assignment she had been thrilled to accept. Murmurs from those that had followed her from the entrance or the living world gave Junko all the more of an idea of how dangerous the mission was, leaving her to wonder about their Captain who was now practically alone to face the demon that had plagued so many of the Seiretei ranks.
The crunch of bone as spatter of blood from the restrained hollow brought Junko back to the grim reality. As much as she yearned to be helpful to Omoni and her Captain she had her duties here which were serious enough on their own without concerning herself over other matters. Her wishing to simply speak to the woman and see that rare smile was unimportant and she was only shirking her current duties and getting in the way of their progress. Stepping back she kept her eyes on the scene within the room as long as she could before spinning on her heel and rushing to the labs. There was still much for her to do.
This can't be right...
Eyes scanning over the lab report generated by those who had tested the samples from the crime scene Junko had difficulty accepting what she was seeing. Though she had suspected the man's guilt almost immediately she had not expected to have something that as a medic she would consider almost solid proof of his guilt. Though she did not doubt the abilities of the staff in the lab she ordered them to once more run the results while also deploying members back to the scene. She had to be absolutely positive. If he were innocent and such an oversight were to place him in the Maggot's Nest or even to death she would never forgive herself. Their instructions were to comb over every inch of the scene for every speck of blood and tissue that existed in the area.
With this she left the lab, report held tightly in hand as she made her way to the front desk once more. Requesting a messenger she was approached by a somewhat meek girl.
"Get these results to Shusuke Kiyoshi of the Sixth Division as soon as possible. If you hurry he should still be processing the suspect near the Maggot's Nest,"
"Ma'am!"

div4npc.png

With an almost shaky voice the girl took the report and gave a deep bow before bolting off, leaving the clinic and heading toward the Second Division area. Staring down at the desk before her Junko's fingers thrummed nervously on the surface below her, considering her next move. The Garganta still loomed above, causing havoc within the Rukongai. Had any members been deployed there? Relief stations should have by that point been scattered about the Seireitei for injured shinigami but as far as she was aware there had been no help sent to those in the heart of the issue. Biting at her lip she considered her next move carefully.

Emi toiled away in her little lab, she had the lights dimmed as to not scorch the sensitive nature of her work. She had finally perfected the synthetic ooze that made up the underside of this unique bandage, stretching the wondrous slime between her fingers. However having no test subject for her project, all she had was a half positive conjecture that was yet out of the testing stages. She made some adjustments so that she had three samples ready for a field test, ranging from the size of a small wrist worth of wrapping to a bulky toned thigh size. Folding the halves nicely, one side was a thick cloth with a bulk amount of this ooze attached to it while the other was thinner with adhesives binding to it. Putting wax paper on the surfaces respectively, she had a prototype of on-site healing.
While this in of itself wasn’t too praise worthy, she was hoping to replace the wait times that were required for a medic or healing operative to be on scene. Her theory was that if one carries these on their person while going into combat and manages to receive a wound.. Well, she hoped that in practice these weird looking bandages would act as a healing agent, suspending the wound in anesthetics and having healing enzymes begin the work of sealing up anything ghastly before the onset of blood loss could begin accruing. She would need to field test these before making more adjustments, as they were for one injury at a time only, and putting on too many… She could only imagine the negative side effects of too much going into one bloodstream. Another thing to note, if she had the ability to test them. Pulling a small flipbook from her desk, she jotted down testing multiple patches at once. For science reasons, of course. Placing the prototypes into her watertight packaging, she smiled down at her progress.
Illustration1011.png

A little cheer escaped her lips, with no one around she could express this small joy she had. Cleaning up her supplies slowly, she noticed the skirmishing that began to bustle outside of her doors, as well as felt the many thuds of what she could only imagine of some sort of bloodshed. It wasn’t her place to ask questions, her presence here was still new and undeserving to demand some intel. She quickly wrapped up her papers, filing away her findings and chemical compound equations as neatly as she could. Something made her feel uneasy about the amassing commotion outside the lab she resided within, and soon enough her curiosity got the best of her; amusing to think about really.
Inching towards the door, Pahar had woken from his hidey hole and padded out to meet her by the exit. Rang had also stirred from his sleeping place, and the three of them peeked out the door slowly as Emi pushed it open. Pahar slipped out the crack and walked meekly down the hall, keeping away from rushed feet and panicked nurses. Emi continued to open the door, but was almost immediately greeted with a report to be filed.
Her joyous expresssion died, as though the light of her inner childlike wonder was put out; a water bucket to a candle would suffice as an appropriate comparison. A report from Oyama Hoshi for Omoni Hageshi, what a delight. Her anger in the midst of trying to test her prototypes seeped onto her face, but she maintained a smile on her lips. That is, if you could even consider it to hold as a smile.
Illustration1013.png

That’s.. Perfectly splendid. I will process it and get it to her, thank you.”
Emi retained some poise, but even still it most likely looked like she had snatched the report from the poor woman’s hands. Slinking back to her dark lab, she turned up the dimmer and sat down at her desk, beginning to type away a report.
