Tensions are running high yet again and just four days after the last situation in the World of The Living. This time around it seems like the aftermath of the previous events are coming back to haunt the Shinigami as what remains of the blood is being attacked by Arrancar, what their goal is in doing this is unknown. They had been silent for centuries and this sudden attack can be seen as nothing short of vultures seeking to pick the bones of a carcase. As of right now two members of the Eleventh Division are approaching the gate with orders to provide backup to Karakura Town’s issue. Having returned to their stations these unidentifiable members of Kido Corps clasp their hands together, channeling their Spiritual Energy into the large gate causing a beam of white light to launch into the sky upon the opening of the Senkaimon. They maintain the opening as the two Shinigami chat between one another and the moment they cross the threshold they close the gate behind them. The two Kido Corps members return to their idle guard ready to allow passage to anyone else who may need to aid those in the Human World.

With every single phone abuzz with notifications and alerts, each of the lieutenants makes their way out far quicker than they came. The only exception is Jinnosuke, who seems to have something to say, but is cut short by the sudden departures, leaving them in an empty room. His befuddled expression disappears from his face when his ringtone begins to play. This reminds her of her own Denreishinki X, which is in need of repairs once again. She slips her hand into the side seam of her vest, a large pouch integrated into her uniform. From here she pulls her device, it's screen cracked and it probably dead.
b12586b5f4a0e774fcfe55ec8cfac7ac.png

She stands from her seat, leaving the meeting room free for waiting subordinates to repair and restore the room to it's pristine condition. All the paperwork filed and secured. Honoka leaves without worry to her next destination. As she makes her short trek, the woman fiddles with the phone, attempting to turn it's power on, but while her skills are many, her ability to command electronics was the bane of her existence. She's seen pressing the lower volume button, holding it for several seconds, and while the technique is correct; the button is not. It isn't until a hell butterfly fluttering at the corner of her peripheral vision catches her attention, that she lifts her gaze and closes the distance, raising her hand for it to land on her slightly curled fingertip.
”This is Captain Oda of the Fifth Division. My Fifth Seat, Kiku Shunkan, is requesting assistance in Naruki due to an Arrancar attack. Due to the importance and vital nature of the package being transported I am requesting permission to head there personally to provide offensive support while another team of Kido Corps members ensure the package makes its way to the destination safely and without error.”
She thought for several seconds. The events transpiring so suddenly and so aggressively that now even the presence of a captain is likely needed? She could simply infer from the events from several days ago what they could be transporting back, of course she will require an official report, but for now, a decision must me made. How many hollows were present? Were they working together now? Could they be running wild since the disappearance of their God King? destroying wantonly with no one to keep them in line? Or the oposite? Unified under a new God King or Queen? Did they have an objective?
02cfad057ea0f22bda2bf0f0e7a08d5c.png

She returns her useless electronic back to it's pouch and begins pondering, as the butterfly latches on to her hair, making itself an accessory as it waits for her response. If this is happening in one city, then perhaps the other is in quite the predicament as well... Ara ara... Too much is happening all at once. The Oki sighs before she speaks,
"Captain Oda, I, Head Lieutenant Oki, am approving your request. I would like to impose on you a bit further. Once you are no longer needed in Naruki, could you assist in Karakura? It seems like it's an all hands on deck sort of day."
She even chuckles in her message before signing off,
"Come by for tea soon."
Despite a blood bond, familiarities are not shared. Practically strangers to one another, she addresses him formally, as she would any Captain. Her invitation is extended to change that, in part. As she will get her own record of events from the captain as to the happenings in the world of the living that resulted in such a turn of events. It is in her hopes that whatever the world of the living is facing now is not... for a lack of a better word, apocalyptic, in it's nature. With that, the hell butterfly departs, returning to its sender.
While First Division barracks are once again lively in preparation for the arrival of the newly elected central forty-six, she has other tasks she must tend to. And while it would be a good chance to see her mother and cousin, the Head Lieutenant's busy schedule often keeps her from recreational activities, and she will have to meet with them another day. She hadn't even the chance to interact with Higen with Central so chaotic with activity.
Now she heads further in the barracks, away from the crowds, to the Central Underground Prison. She, and sixth division, have a plethora of questions for Shobatsu Murasaki. Not only that, she needs to see for herself the full after effects of Shihoken's attack on Shobatsu. How would he respond to a familiar presence? Would he attack her? Or cooperate? There is no telling what kind of person he is now. The Head Lieutenant crosses the threshold, her signature smile plastered on her face as she greets the guards. Her forms and requests sent days ahead of her visit. She intends to get all her questions answered.

From Southeast Seireitei
Fifth Division is abuzz once again, it had only been four days since the last major incident took place that caused these barracks to become ripe with activity. Not only is it due to the situation in the living world but also orders from their captain that have them working in tandem with their sister Division, the Kido Corps. As they are breaking off into groups to head out to the Rukongai along with a potential trip to Naruki another terrible event takes place. Sounds of explosions erupting in Naruki grab their attention as a large quantity of souls are eradicated in the process. They all freeze for a moment, especially those getting ready to march out in that direction themselves. Their idleness is short lived by the arrival of their Captain, Tenzen Oda, which snaps them out of their stunned daze.
”Those of you about to move out to the Rukongai to carry out the sealing mission proceed as planned. Rukongai is Seventh Division’s jurisdiction, they will investigate the source and cause of those attacks, and we will continue our mission without fail.”
As he finishes speaking a group of Kido Corps Specialists arrive, they stand ready to help aid in the movement of the Procession in Kiku’s care.
1e9a77ed282be689cbddc0f2bf2aab17.png

Tenzen gives them a nod while a Hell Butterfly returns with the news he was expecting to hear.
"Captain Oda, I, Head Lieutenant Oki, am approving your request. I would like to impose on you a bit further. Once you are no longer needed in Naruki, could you assist in Karakura? It seems like it's an all hands on deck sort of day."
He had gained approval to head to Naruki and aid in the situation. Before his mind could race on speculation on the Arrancar’s sudden reemergence the message he received wasn’t quite finished.
"Come by for tea soon."
”If my schedule permits it.”
A quick response to the question as the Butterfly heads off to deliver it. The two have barely exchanged many words between each other throughout the centuries despite being cousins. The bad blood between the Oda and Oki, due to his mothers actions, is of no importance to him just as it may be of no importance to Honoka. Just a grudge and bad blood between the older generation is all it is.
With his approval given he marched out with the Kido Specialists and ten more Fifth Division members to the Senkaimon. As the group is approaching the gate Tenzen draws his Zanpakuto, a startling display for the guards of the gate who thought their lives may be at risk, especially when their Captain decided to stop before passing through the gate.
”Have you been keeping track of those who have been passing through the gate today?”
”Y-yes sir!!”
”Good, we already monitor it but we need to keep a more vigilant eye on Senkaimon use, can't afford another incident. Any word from Eizoku Yugameru and his team?”
No sir, no word yet.”

Tenzen stands in silence for a moment wondering what could be taking him so long to investigate a single event.
”If he or any members of his team aren’t back by the time I return, be ready to open a request for a remote investigation. We can't risk sending anyone else into it so this may require some cooperation with the Twelfth Division. May also have to report to the First Division that the Dangai isn’t quite safe anymore if we are losing people who enter it…”
Tenzen finally passes through the gate with his entourage following close behind. With the use of the Jigokuchō (地獄蝶, Hell Butterfly) the team is able to bypass the Dangai but during their short walk, they get to hear something rare, their Captain’s Zanpakuto release phrase.
”Open sky falls mute and the empty sky screams, closed void stands to speak and the full void is silent. Kokūzō.” (空, 'space', 蔵, 'repository')
They even bear witness to the shape change his Zanpakuto undergoes but even with all this they still have no idea what it actually does. The release phrase and name can only give away so much and so far they get nothing from it.
”When we arrive…”
Their attention shifts from their Captain’s Zanpakuto to his words.
”...head straight for the procession. Me, Kiku, and the Tenth Division reinforcements will focus on the Arrancar threats…”
Yes, the Arrancar. What are they doing showing up now? Like vultures hovering in the air eyeballing the ground for scraps. Could they just be scavengers looking for a way to revitalize their dying breed? Or perhaps they are on orders from someone to collect it? Their God King is dead, alleged proof from the finger they received. Could Hell have a hand in this using the Arrancar as foot soldiers? Wouldn’t be the first time considering the Quincy did it 1,500 years ago in the blood war. It won’t matter, this group of Arrancar will be dashed across the stones like all the rest who dare oppose the Seireitei.

THUMP. THUMP.
THUMP. THUMP.
THUMP. THUMP

The deafening silence in the lift allows her to hear the beating of her own heart. The emptiness acts to amplify the feeling within herself, making her hyperaware of each palpitation pumping blood through her veins. Her breathing is steady, almost meditative in rhythm. She stands perfectly still, staring directly at the door; mindlessly watching the lights of the floors speed by.

"Tell me, Honoka..." The female voice pauses briefly. Her voice resonates throughout, no discernable location. "...are you scared?" The curiosity in her voice is obvious, she can't wait to finish her question and receive her answer. Here is where the Oki woman blinks, glancing around the familiar surroundings. A soft sight escapes her lips as she begins to walk, leaving a small trail of parted red spider lilies. The fields of these resurrection flowers appear endless, so vast, that they go beyond the grand mountains in the horizon. Fields parted in half by a wide flowing river adorned and illuminated by thousands, if not millions, of paper lanterns on the surface. The soft trickling of the water is heard, even the splashing it makes as it hits against the bank and the wooden fences that act as a protective barrier. Small as they may be.
There is no response from the dark haired woman, instead, she continues walking along the edge, scanning the area in search of something, or someone.
Spirit-World-1-1.png

"Answer me." Now the voice's tone is more forceful. Clearly accustomed to getting her way. Honoka's demeanor does not change in the slightest. Her emerald eyes turn to the crimson sky. Perhaps She hides within the clouds today. She continues her search. This time, her eyes dart frantically across the fields. No. Lying in the ground is something She would never do.
"Do you seek death?"
The woman comes to a halt, slowly turning to face the river. The clear waters hauntingly reflecting the red of the sky. There was something about this world that felt heavy on the heart. Somber. Melancholic, even. It caused a tightening sensation in one's heart. A deep, overwhelming sorrow that mercilessly clutches the heart. Emotions so deep and profound, they would resonate some could never experience this without the effects in this world. There was a time her eyes would not open after crying for days. It took several centuries to even stand without suddenly bursting into tears after simply setting foot on the ground.
80e27c25c2aae0173a1d294a389f5c93.png

Centuries of training within herself now grant her the ability to exist unhindered. She lets her anger shine through briefly, setting her eyes alight with the burst of reiatsu. She walks forward, crushing the spider lilies in her path as she makes her way closer to the river and steps over the wooden fence. Her sandals don't even break the surface of the water., and she walks unencumbered towards the center of the river.
Show yourself, Shiore-!"
Thousands of vines jot out from the ground all around. They twist and coil on themselves, growing taller, thicker, and denser with each passing moment. Hundreds of feet tall, these vines stand firm, holding an enormous budding flower high above the clouds. While mere replicas, this is a powerful showcase by the Spirit that inhabits this world. They take their aim at the woman standing on the river, the lantern's drifting along unbothered by the sudden growth of plants. She lashes out violently against the zan wielder, infuriated by the refusal to answer her.
"No, I don't."
She sighs softly, finally answering. Higanbana refuses to accept this. Why is she so willing to go see this prisoner? Someone who possibly regressed in their way of thinking and acting! There was no telling how he would even react to her appearing before him. The first time the two fought, she spent weeks in the hospital recuperating! He was indiscriminate and merciless. And the excited Oki was an idiot up for a fight. It wasn't about preventing him from becoming the new Captain Commander then. At the time, all she wanted was an opponent, and he showed her how far she still had to go. Why she eventually even accepted his invitation to become his Lieutenant, Higanbana would never understand.
"He will kill you."
At the Oki's sides, her fists are clenched tightly. Does her own spirit deem her so weak to die?
"Then if I truly die, it will be your fault, won't it?"

She silences her thoughts, as well as the intrusions from Higanbana. Where she seeks peace of mind, instead she receives a temper tantrum. While Higanbana has a point, she won't give her the satisfaction of acknowledging it. Honoka isn't eagerly running towards her death. This couldn't possibly turn into any sort of confrontation. How could it? He was imprisoned, chained, and his power sealed. Right now, he probably couldn't even flare his nostrils. And even if he manages to break free, killing her will only trap him for eternity.
In the split second the elevator eases to a stop, all the muscles in her body tense. The doors slowly slide open, allowing her to exit. She stares a few seconds. Not immediately taking a step forward. Is it hesitation? Fear? Anxiety? Excitement? Not exactly. To be accurate, it was a culmination of things. She could very well die, or have all her questions answered. It was nigh impossible to know if he would even be willing to speak. His actions forced change on the world and he sat in Muken, unable to experience the benefits of his actions. Though certain nobles didn't see it in such a way. To some, he was a villain, a plague to Soul Society. Something to be locked away. She believes otherwise. Nature does not warn or ask when it is going to act. It simply does, and only those strong enough survive to continue onward towards a better tomorrow. This was no different in her eyes.
Finally, her right foot moves and she steps out.
"Murasaki-san, I have a few questions."

The Oki’s footsteps echo throughout the infinity. Eternal darkness is all that greets her, as she steps out from the elevator. No longer within the Soul Society, the woman found herself in a dimension all of its own, separated from space and time. The only inhabitants of this endless abyss are those who cannot be slain: the most powerful adversaries the Shinigami have ever faced, and now...Her: the very key to their freedom. Even so confined, the predators in the darkness wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to claim the Key to their imprisonment. So what was stopping them from making their move?
"Murasaki-san,
Murasaki-san. The very first words to leave the Oki’s mouth upon entering the Muken. Here, above all else, that name carries weight. His time on the surface has caused many to attribute the name with the role of Captain Commander. However, before the peaceful centuries brought on by his Command, the name Murasaki carried a different history. It is not only the name of the Muken’s first Inmate, the very reason the Muken exists at all, but also the name of the very first adversary the Gotei Thirteen has ever faced. Taking the might of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and his twelve united Captains to defeat.
Every shinigami in their days at the Kido Academy learns of Murasaki’s defeat and the founding of the Seireitei. Any soul who has called themselves a Shinigami knows the danger the man represents. Therefore, even those prisoners of great power, who call the Muken home, know not to invoke the name of the First. Often, their great power is a byproduct of even greater ambition. Such as with Aizen, who even when partially freed, chose to cooperate with the Society he despises, rather than allow his fellow inmate to escape. Risking the release of Murasaki would pose such a threat to one’s end goal, that it is preferable to be imprisoned. Yet, risking his release is exactly what the Oki is doing. Why?
I have a few questions."
Her statement carries a pseudo-casualty, both demanding, yet respectful. The Oki had always known how to walk that line with the former Commander. Of all souls throughout all of history, she is the only one to speak to Murasaki so comfortably. Yet now she quivers at his thought. As always, the woman is ever-composed, doubt is not a poison that runs through her body, which remains unkissed by the heat of Murasaki’s purple flame. However, the same cannot be said for her Zanpakuto, who, like all others, drowns in fear of Murasaki’s judgment. Even Higanbana, a Zanpakuto of immense power, finds every fiber of her being pulling her away from the man. A terror that only grows with each step the Oki takes towards him.

Torn Apart
da7bcee01c8ae6b3e335b357768d43f4.png

She continues to walk through the vast emptiness, until a purple flicker in the darkness becomes a roaring flame. Even sealed in such a way, Murasaki’s Reiatsu cannot be contained. It leaks from the metal of his bindings like heat from a furnace. To the Oki however, this passive display was harmless compared to the power of the real thing. It served only to verify the prisoner’s identity, concealed as it is behind a metal seal, as his presence would be unmistakable to the Oki, just as her presence is to him.
Before her sits her superior. His throne, no longer the lion-carved stone of a Commander, is instead replaced with the wooden execution chair of an Inmate. His appearance, were it not for the tame release of his reiatsu, would be unrecognizable, as it is entirely encased in a suit of spirit reducing metal armor. This armor, of course, was not for his protection, but for his confinement, the protection of others. Therefore, its interior was composed of thousands of metallic spikes, piercing every inch of the Commander’s flesh like that of an iron maiden. These spikes would continually drain the man’s spiritual energy, as well as actively paralyze every nerve in his body, preventing physical movement. This, on top of the sealing bandages that encase his body, as well as the kido-infused chains that bind him to the throne, would work to keep the prisoner secure.
Standing before him now, the key sealed within the Oki’s chest would activate upon her will, just as it did during her arrival. When she spoke, the key had automatically unlocked the seals placed upon Murasaki’s ears, so that he could once more hear the familiar beauty of her voice. With her demands presented, she awaited a response. Thus, the key would unseal the bindings placed over Murasaki’s mouth, only now, the Oki would be present to see the mechanisms at work. The chains that bound him to his chair would spring to life, slithering like serpents as they tightened their grip. Within the confines of his helmet, the sound of cloth unravelling could be heard, accompanied by a soft purple glow, which shines through the crevices of the metal.
.
Yet, once the rattling of chains, shifting of cloth, and scraping of metal, settled, and silence triumphed once again, the Disgraced Commander would give no response.
