No response to his question is given– at least, a verbal one. As an answer, the captain is instead met with an unfathomable pressure, one that weighs down on his small, yet mighty frame. What was felt before as the lieutenant's distress call is now amplified on the blonde nearly tenfold, causing the boy to grit his teeth in strain to keep himself standing. Sweat droplets form on the young one’s forehead, a symptom that would be a kindness in comparison to the boasting of this raw strength. He struggles to look up to the unconscious Nibui and instead catches the attention of the evershifting pool of tendrils, now slowly inching their way towards Yū.
“N-Nibui…”
… the captain calls out warily, now realizing the roots to the left of him, to the right of him, and now behind him, are all moving together in unison– predators circling their prey. His call for aid for a split second seems to be proven successful, as the roots suddenly halt for a moment. However, shortly after, Yū would realize his plea would fall on deaf ears. ‘Huf… huf… I’ve got to stop him...’ he decides in a whisper, outstretching his hand as if trying to reach the lethargic lieutenant.
All at once, the roots shoot toward the wary captain, aiming to either pierce through his flesh or drag him into the pit Nibui languidly hangs over. What little light that once filled the cavern and its entryway is now completely shrouded by the encroaching vines, robbing him of sight of the lieutenant, and very soon, his sight in general.
A vibrant blue suddenly surrounds Yū, encasing himself instantly in a cubed barrier. The branches’ path is halted, but rather than turn back, they now surround the barrier at all angles, enveloping it until all the young captain can see is the familiar blue, and the darker blue shadow of the roots that bundle his creation. Suddenly, the blonde drops to one knee, the overwhelming and unrelenting pressure now weighing heavily on his shoulders. His otherwise Unwavering Spirit proves futile in the presence of Nibui Ueki… but Yū is unsure why. Could it be due to their relative proximity to each other? An external third party that had factored into this weakness that the captain was unaware of? Or was Nibui simply capable of harnessing this much... raw power? While his barrier can withstand the brawn of the roots’ tight grasp for the time being, the strain is evident enough and Yū understands he can’t remain passive and expect to walk out of this with both of their lives.
Between labored breaths, his arm raises again and his palm rests gently on the barrier’s surface directly in front of him.
Bakudō #9: Hōrin!
… Yū proclaims, an orange energy now circling around his open palm. An otherwise low-level spell, when utilized by an affirmed kido master, its properties and capacity for destruction become limitless. At once, a hole the size of the captain’s palm opens in the barrier as the orange energy shoots straight forward to Nibui’s assumed position. The roots immediately dive for the hole, having patiently waited for their prey to show enough vulnerability to make their final onslaught. However, their journey is met at an end as lightning wildly shoots out from the orange-hued tendril. Innumerable bolts extend from the coil, simultaneously illuminating the space around him and striking at the foreign vines. Wood splinters into thousands of pieces, but the roots’ barrage is relentless; all it craves is blood, blood, and more blood, virtually disregarding the spell’s primary purpose.
Undisturbed, the orange tendril continues on its short journey to Nibui, finding its target in seconds. It curves around the shinigami’s back, cleanly slicing through the thick bundles of roots that grew from the bark patches on his flesh. Just as before, the lightning spiralling around the tendril splinters the surrounding wood for meters before it fully grapples Nibui’s body. The zanpakutō’s hilt still embedded partially in his right arm suffers a similar fate; The chaotic lightning mercilessly incinerates the portions of bark that attached itself to his flesh, while simultaneously searing the lieutenant’s skin. However, this would be a small price to pay in order to separate the weapon from its wielder.
With Nibui fully swaddled in the kidō spell, Yū squeezes his eyes shut and lets out one final roar in exasperation, the strand’s grip tightening and electrocuting the immobile lieutenant. Suddenly, the roots up to this point that had been relentless in their attempt to break the captain’s barricade, now cease in movement. The crushing spiritual pressure now subsides; Smoke emanates from Nibui’s frame, his sword now falling languidly to the ground. The roots that decorate every inch of the cavern and the captain’s surroundings make their immediate retreat, skulking back into the fallen bokken. As lifeless as the sword’s fall, the swordsman too collapses onto the cold, cave floor. First, the lieutenant falls onto his knees, and then he folds backwards and just before his head makes an abrupt introduction with the bedrock floor, Yū's left knee slides under, simultaneously rescuing him from a nasty concussion– as well, as swiftly propping his head up to begin immediate medical treatment. An emerald color burns outwards from the captain's palms; There's no time to think or reflect, it is only time to act. One palm rushes straight for his forehead, the other tending to the profuse bleeding pouring from his upper arm where his zanpakutō once latched itself onto moments ago.
"You're going to be okay... Everything's going to be okay..." the boy repeats over and over, stealing a glance at the reserved wooden sword to the left of him. However, it is unclear if his desperate convincing is intended for Nibui... or himself.

It looked to Katsuo Oyama was ready to kick him from behind with how angry she was with his joke, but she reared down to his relief, he was rather happy about that, and the fact she released a little bit of a smile. It'll all be okay, he thought. He wouldn't let her do something stupid as long as he still could. He felt like Oya was the little sister he never had, however she felt about family, for him this wouldn't change.
"Just stay with me Oya.. i'll do my best to help you, and Furia…
He hoped it'd give her a little bit of relief in saying that as he ran, toward Division 5 barracks. Once there he slid his feet into the dirt, turning his head to see a familiar Family face. It was Kyoki Oda. Their Father.
"WHOOOAAA there speedy. What you up to? Just a run? Little late for that isn't it?"
Katsuo shook his head, looking over at the Barracks then back to Kyoki. He figured the family got the news by now, and probably drinking to Tenzen's Success… without him right now. Which was cool, he was busy too, training to achieve his dream. It was kind of hard to tell Katsuo apart from a blood Oda, the platinum blonde was definitely apparent. Kyoki looked like a much older, wiser Tenzen Oda, with some youthfulness mixed in.
"Heya… pops… Just looking for Tenzen, I got a problem i think he could help with. You seen him?"
Kyoki rubbed his chin, before looking Behind Katsuo, to potentially Oyama Hoshi. He gave her a glance, it wasn't condescending. It was just a more "who is this?" Kind of glance. Already showing just how much difference the Oda were. He looked back at Katsuo a moment later and shook his head, giving Katsuo a not so good answer.
"I came to congratulate Tenzen, News gets around fast, but alas, he's not here. Perhaps already, he is on his first mission as Captain?"
He said with a smirk before passing Katsuo going the opposite direction, he was headed back home. Katsuo mumbled Damn… under his breath and felt Kyoki's pat on the back.
"Perhaps one of the Division 5 members know. It's good to see you. Maybe Tenzen and you will take a break and come home sometime? Would love to hear all about your missions and adventures."
He'd say before he walked off. He gave Oyama another quick glance, as if he sort of knew who or what she was. He let off a smile before she turned and left. Katsuo laughed and waved goodbye to him.
"No prob, sure thing, see ya old man!"
He'd look back at Oya, thinking about what to do next. If Kyoki was right about Tenzen not being there, where would he be? Maybe someone in the Barracks knew? Without a word for Oya, he'd blush and walk through to the door of Division five Barracks, and talk to a young man guarding the front of it.
"Katsuo Oda, Division thirteen, i'm looking for my brother, your new captain, Tenzen? Can you tell me where he went it's rather important."
The boy shook his head.
"Sorry, Oda-san. Where he is is of more importance, and top secret. I cannot. Perhaps wait here until he's done?"
Katsuo huffed, looking back at Oya.
"Well, there's that. Looks like we just missed him too. We can follow where my dad went, and head toward the Kuchiki residence and scope it out, see if Arashi or Tenzen is there. If Furia can control herself that is, from making any rash decisions."

By the time they had reached 5th division she was breathing heavily, even without feeling the pain she knew that run from 13th to 5th was intense, and she was just greatful for a stop, to which she lifted both her arms above her head to allow her lungs to expand more and take in more air with her breathing. She wasn’t too far from Katsuo, and he seemed to be talking to someone, someone who Knew Katsuo long before he became a Shinigami appearntly. Just the tone itself gave it away let alone the nick names that came out of the older mans mouth. Then finally that word pops came out from him, it was clear now. That was Katsuo’s adopted father, Another noble… it seems they like to hang around Central? Who knows she didn’t and didn’t want to know, though it would be good to know if only to avoid them.
It had appeared that even he heard his son made it to Captain, news was spreading fast for sure. Great for them, she was glad that news spread of a new captain despite their heritage, her eyes shifted towards the side and her hands moved together to fidget for a bit. Only to feel something, a slight glance, she couldn’t explain it, but she had looked up to see this man give a glance, to which she froze and didn’t do anything. This was a bit akward for her. So she only listened, keeping herself silent, as they spoke, and just seeing Katso’s posture changed suggested the news he got wasn’t good, though some advice came from his father, before the two would meet eyes once more. Causing her to raise her eyebrow. That look… Did he know her? No not possible.
A sigh came from her as she began to lower her arms as her breathing became normal once more, her head lifted up to look at the sky for a moment, before looking back towards Katsuo, already walking into the barracks, to which she would walk behind. Thankfully they weren’t under attack by anyone so she didn’t exactly have to stand on top the walls roof. Well at least it was calm, but it was strange hunting for Arashi, now she started to wonder if he just went out to get some secret ingredient to make a perfect cup of tea. It would have been mighty embarrassing if that was the case, one that would not be a let down. Then her thoughts came back to reality as someone would suggest they wait for them here at the barracks.
For a split second she gave a glare at the boy, as her eyes flickered from blue to red.
“No waiting”
She wasn’t patient on this end, but Katsuo would make a suggestion, on following his father. To which her head shook.
“Didn’t you say that Kuchiki Manner is heavily guarded? We’d more than likely have to find another way in other then the front door or the sides. So approaching that way would more than likely get us in great trouble. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t like to get caught by some Royal guards, you might get off scot free but I would more then likely be thrown into a cell and be left to rot. Thought that would make sure Furia doesn’t cause any harm…

It was silent on the 5th Division Barracks, something Himari didn’t mind at all. She enjoyed being able to walk around having peace and quiet. The blue haired girl seemed to be the youngest in her division, so a lot of the times people would leave her alone. Her captain included. She’s only talked to Tenzen a hand full of times, and each time has been short. But, she knew sooner or later she had to get off the awkward side and talk to him. Mainly when he had to give her orders. She had to stop the teasing at some point and actually look at him as what he was. Her cap again.
It would be bad if the awkwardness stayed when that started.
As she kept walking, one of her fellow squad members ran up to her, causing the young women to raise an eye brow. This was new. Nobody had ever been running around to find her of all people. She crossed her arms over her chest, her face not recovering from the rest bitch face she always had. It wasn’t that she was mean by any means. She just looked that way. The look made the boy pale but he quickly bowed his head a few times.
“M-miss, there’s someone looking for captain Tenzen. Seems to be important. Thought it would be fit for you to go speak with them.” The boy said, making Himari sigh. Why her of all people? And where was her captain?
She nodded before she would walk towards the front office gates, her hands gripping on the halt of her sword, her palms sweaty as she would walk. She wasn’t used to having to talk to anyone, and she didn’t know anyone. So this was a little hard for the girl.
As she made her way, she noticed two people were talking amongs themselves. She took a deep breath, before walking up to them. Her face was hard, cold, as she spoke.
“What brings you here,” she says before she would clear her throat, trying again. “I mean, welcome.”

Katsuo was about to reply to Oya about the Situation at hand, when a woman came out of the barracks, she honestly looked like an older Oyama, with that long pale blue hair. She did come out of the division 5 Barracks, and even asked what they wanted, which led him to believe she was a member of his brother's new Squad. He tried to be polite and not look at her damaged eye and scar, but smiled at her.
"Hello! I'm Katsuo Oda, this is Oyama Hoshi, we're from Squad 13, I was looking for my brother, your captain? It's really important…"
Though, it was up to Oya to tell this woman why this was really important, it wasn't Katsuo's place to tell her the entirety of the situation that makes finding Tenzen important.
"I feel like he may know where our 3rd seat, Arashi Suta might be. It's important we find him."
He wasn't going to give the full details, and also knew it probably meant jack that he was Tenzen's brother, he was prepared to take Oya to the Kuchiki residence if things weren't going well… however much he didn't agree with it in her current emotions and conditions.
