”My god. I...Is...Is nothing sacred?”
T
he contents of what he was looking at were all the secret information kept on the Seireitei in the last Two Thousand plus years. The amount of secrecy of this very console could very well be considered a complete fable, unless you have been down within the depths yourself and experienced it first hand. He started from the top to the bottom of the most recent search history on the tab, and clicked to find probably the most taboo name in the entire Seireitei as it stands. ”Shobatsu Murasaki''. Some would wince, he didn’t flinch. He was the last charged to lead the Great Judicator to the hall of the Forty-Six, one of the last to see him before his immediate incarceration within the black escape known as the Muken. He paused before scrolling further, questioning little, but determined to find the answers. He gave a slight exhale and began scrolling once more and came across large amounts of information, the immediate paragraphs being legal mumbo jumbo, more or less to discern who reads from who doesn’t Not his favorite activity by any means, but Shusuke had spent many a night studying for his Sixth written exam. With Enso’s help he passed with flying colors on the first try…needless to say he was an astute scholar when he had to be. ”...You’re a bastard y’know that, Aikawa?”.
A touch of remorse, something that gave him the feeling of a delayed reaction of sorts. He was quite steel in his approach to apprehend his friend, as he needed to be given the circumstances. There was nothing he could do for him, he made his bed among the murders and homicidal cretins that he seeks to rid the world of, namely the Seireitei. It crushed him to watch his friend become the villain, but when you work long enough, and survived many battles of both mental and physical, he surmised that anything and everything had a chance to happen. Which begged the question, would that be his fate as well? Shaking his thoughts from prior events, he continued reading the screen for the following information.

“It appears that Shobatsu Murasaki has created a Kido spell capable of defeating him in case he ever became a threat to Soul Society. Kido Corps possess knowledge on what this spell is capable of, however, only Shobatsu Murasaki himself knows the incantation.
We have no other information regarding this spell but its existence, paired with the man it was created to slay being the only one who knows how to cast it, is cause for concern. Such a spell is likely a forbidden one and with no knowledge of its workings we cannot regulate it. All the more reason to send Shobatsu Murasaki back to the Muken or find someone capable of slaying him once and for all.

He was bared enough to not be floored completely by the information, he stood motionless and comprehended the sheer fact that Shobatsu murasaki could be brought to heel by a singular Kido. So powerful, that he in fact is the only one capable and the only being (or at least, until now) to have such information. While whosoever was looking into this particular secret, they may not know the incantation but just the knowledge of its existence could pose a large threat to the vast majority of souls within not only the Soul Society but for the Living World in itself. He also hinged on the final sentence in the dossier; ”All the more reason to send Shobatsu Murasaki back to the Muken or find someone capable of slaying him once and for all.” Were the Central Forty-Six at odds with the former Commander? Why would they feel a reason to rid themselves of the strongest Shinigami among the Gotei Thirteen…? He turned away from the monitor fairly quickly in immediate thought, thinking back to the events of the past three to five months leading up to this drama. The Kotestu, the coup on the First Division, the Visored incident, as well as the Kuchiki betrayal….was this all somehow connected? Were the Forty-Six sages on a set plan to blame this all on Shobatsu? Or was it an unproven long term goal to slowly sabotage the Seireitei from the top?
He quickly found his vision once more upon the monitor, taking a deep look at any other information missed in the document before closing and going to another. Leading himself back to the previous history tab and then again down the list of previous searches. Easily finding more hidden mysteries that were no longer mysterious, they were all simply swept underneath the rug of dishonor and distrust while those in power tried to keep the status quo. Dating back to many months prior, he found a document signed by a long dead member of the Central Forty-Six enlisting a contract in which was never to be seen in the light of day. He nearly couldn’t believe his eyes, they had to have been deceiving him. Just this once. He wished that he never saw the contract in which the Central Forty-Six enlists the Mukuro Clan in an attempt on the life of the Captain-Commander. With none other than the walking Phantom, the one man who is said to be a “Non-Person”, and the only true Shinigami to wear Death. The Captain of Division Two, Kyomu Mukuro was charged with the murder of former Captain-Commander Shobatsu Murasaki. His arms faded towards the edges of the console, his tall frame and wide wingspan allowed him to easily grip the table as he leaned forward to digest the dossier.

“As discussed in our last hearing, we have hired the Mukuro Clan for they’re expertise in the way of dispatching those who have long since expired their due date. We have all come to the collective understanding that the entire element of Shobatsu Murasaki is a danger to the Soul Society and releasing him from the Muken should have never taken place from the start. In an ideal world, we were able to choose the Captain-Commander based on his or her merits and responsibilities as not just a Shinigami, but a protector of souls of both living and dead alike.
The task ahead requires a keen amount of finesse and planning, thus requiring their most skilled headsman who just so happens to be within the grounds of the Seireitei as this event unfolds, they have elected Kyomu Mukuro as the lead on this task. We have been assured that by any means necessary that he will be successful in his task.
If not...We will just have to find other means of removal.”

He re-read the dossier three times in succession. This was his superior looking to meddle with the affairs of the Seireitei as a whole by basically picking and choosing who they’d like to lead the entirety of the Gotei Thirteen. The pillar in which the Forty-Six stand upon is sacred at the most simple word, they set the tone for the entirety of the Seireitei and the governance of the Soul Society is theirs alone to shoulder. To learn that they acted like such...rich and simple men for the “betterment” of the entire army is rubbish in the Adjudicator’s eyes. Although his world view was jaded and shrouded by the negatives, he always knew where his true north lied and that was with the Law, his entire foundation broke down before that console. Hanging his head in near shame, acting on the whims and needs of the Central ages, being told they knew best when they simply acted on selfish traits exhibited by the lowlifes he disdains. He took his orders from these men, he sent a man from his clan to be one of these men. While he didn’t worry for him, or his personal constitution, he was worried about the vices and voices that would look to steer him from making a just choice.
”Nothing….is sacred. The law…..is not what I thought it was…”
His head still limp in between his shoulders. Eyes glued to the keys that led him to this catastrophic information. Dark hair surrounding him, it fell slightly longer than his regular length as of late. Along with his five o’clock shadow, it had grown unceremoniously long, covering his face if looked upon squarely. After collecting his thoughts, and gathering his mental strength from learning the previous information he slowly raised his head once more and fixed his posture, to resume his gathering of information on this computer. He figured that if they were hiding such a large secret from the rest of the population then this console was fair game to the Bengoshi. His head turned back to the unconscious Akarui, still limp in his disposition, he’d have to remember to not give her a hard time after this incident of her falling drunk while on the job. Then again, even so her senses seemed to be above keen while drinking it. A spell perhaps? Easy to sedate one who already travels the path. He turned back and kept reading.
Making his way to the other tabs he found information regarding the pot in which was rumored to have been a primary reason for the birth of the new Visored’s within the Thirteen. His old division mate, Shirogane Kuchiki, looked to gain powers of a Hollow and seek to wreak havoc on souls in both living and dead planes. A shameful day in Sixth division when one of their own turned to evil deeds rather than walk a path of righteousness and far less guilt. The continued thought that the Kuchiki’s remain a name to be seduced by those who know nothing of their greatest failures and follies. It was too long that the Kiyoshi’s had to take a backseat to the “Keepers of History”. He intended to change that, one way or another. Gathering all information on the pot and its potential he quickly gave everything else a keen scan before logging off for the time being. He removed his gloves and instantly reached for his Denreishinki X from an inner pocket near his chest.
He tapped some buttons on the touchscreen face but he has infamously paged the entire Sixth and First Divisions once more to inform them of the situation, as delicate as it was he felt he knew exactly what he needed to do.
”Shusuke Kiyoshi, Third of Sixth. All personnel pair up and fan the Seireitei for suspicious activity spanning Fifty yards from Central. I need four individuals from the First Division to stay back at the Central entrance upon the end of this message for assistance. All Sixth Division members are to report back to the barracks for a debriefing by the end of day. That is all.”
He clicked the phone off after sending the mass message. Then promptly walked over to Akarui’s limp body and carefully placed her on his back, thankfully her attitude didn’t weigh her down as much as he’d initially assumed. He looked back upon the console and all he could think was what he learned today. He’d have to sit with this further. He currently had too many pots on the stove and nearly all were boiling over. Further thought and assessment would surely be employed over the next few hours and maybe even days. He began to once again exit the compound and walk through the threshold and made his way to the main sanctum once more to only climb the tall dark staircase once more. He was sick of being here, he had already stayed far too long into his lunch break as he only found more work to do while he was supposed to be finding some Sake. Little time to be angry however as when he ascended those steps he was instantly met by the four First Division shinigami as two took Akarui from his shoulders and into their care. He instructed them to carefully take her to the Fourth’s barracks and to immediately notify him upon her becoming conscious once more, he intended to find out who had been snooping around where they had no business to do so. They nodded fervently and instantly took off with a swift Shunpo. The other two he instructed to clean the innards of the chambers for the new sages' arrival, without another word they hopped on the job. He was now alone in the yard, Central was deserted.
He looked around to the formerly busy space and couldn’t help but feel unaccomplished. There was still more to investigate, but the grounds needed to be clear upon the arrival of the new members of the Central Forty-Six. It wouldn’t do well to have the stench of death make them uncomfortable on their first day of service. He sighed and wiped his face downwards as if it was long. He wished for simplicity and even that couldn’t be given to him, but found that to be complacent in the eyes of the criminals, cretins and sycophants he wished behind bars would show weakness. Weakness in the eyes of the Law, seemingly, the only True law would display unworthiness to carry the name Bengoshi. He intended to live up to that name.
Without haste, as the wind picked, it would seemingly have carried the Kiyoshi as well. Quickly seeming to dematerialize into thick black heavy smoke, his arms, legs and torso would soon become formless as the wind carried the smoke towards his next destination. His eyes met it with vigilance, as the gusts would take over the rest as it blew away his head and facial features into black into the atmosphere.

”A break? Surpass your limits. Right here. Right now.”
So he says, but they have been going back and forth four days straight training, cultivating Izanagi's potential. Polishing the skills that his former alter ego has shown, Izanagi was truly capable of performing. It has only genuinely been about controlling that power that resides within him. Ryuga was forced to bring that power out of him while maintaining the newfound Shikai Izanagi now possesses. The only thing going through Izanagi's mind was...
"How much more?"
Ryuga_Reiatsu_1.png

How far did he have to push himself? For someone with no motivation, that lacks steadfast resolve and determination to get stronger. Ryuga, Lt. Fuyuko Kasumi is trying to get Izanagi to do more, wanting him to live up to not only his name but through the division's title, their reputation. And it starts with Ryuga, who is gearing up to strike, though he was a little weary himself, if not more than Izanagi. Once Izanagi's head tilts up to look upon the giant's beefy frame in the midst of still catching his breath. He saw how serious this was getting once Ryuga exerted his spiritual power just enough so that it manifested its true shape. A shape of a jet-black and gold color Oni that sat and formed around his entire form. It was always a magnificent sight to see, but it always shows that he was building up to something nasty.
" I give you two choices, Izanagi. Either you face me head-on, or you try to dodge me. ”
Knowing so, Izanagi stood upwards, staying focused on the task before him, while he waited for the big man to bust a move. Hearing those choices from Old Man Iba, did it truly matter which option? Maybe it did? Or could he be testing him to see if he makes the right choice? The stance Ryuga was in clearly shows he will be charging in full force. The power that is swelling from him shows this. The question is, did Izanagi had enough in him to pick which action he was going to do?
Without a moment passed, Ryuga catapulted himself forward where the integrity of the ground beneath him cracked under the weight of both his feet. Traveling a lot faster than Izanagi had anticipated him to, considering how hard he has been training him.
"Shit!"
Izanagi exclaimed.
Izanagi's body took action by moving on its own as if it instinctively knew he just had to move. In which his entire body immediately bled from Ryuga's view, as if time had slowed through Izanagi's eyes just enough for him to escape the deadly move that was well prepared for him. Entering into this state where the reaction time was in his favor for the moment, Izanagi managed to sidestep to the right of those massive cannons he calls arms but only enough to slightly get by where the end of the fist nearly grazed his skin. The high-speed movement did not last long which while dodging, Izanagi would find himself rolling onto the dirt ground but managed to roll up into a kneeling position, using one of his palms as a brake to slow down his momentum. He slid a few extra feet in the process of stopping. Dodging was probably the better option than trying to wrestle someone as Ryuga's size with very little energy to combat. It wouldn't be the smart move, though using his small and agile frame, that was the likely choice. Ryuga, on the other hand, Izanagi would have imagined that his tremendous momentum would crash into the sizeable mountainous rock that was just a few feet behind Izanagi.
Denrei.png

Soon this vibrating sensation and beeping noise caught his attention inside his shihakusho, which reached inside to grab ahold of which he knows would be the Denreishinki X, a standard shinigami communication device. Izanagi had this feeling that it could potentially be the Lieutenant looking to see where he was, making sure he wasn't slacking off—and possibly looking to make him clean the barracks or some other horrendous chore. Unfortunately, the panicking voice on the other end of the cellular device says that wasn't the case.
"Hello! Not sure who I am speaking to! I just called whoever came up! I am one of the 10th squad members out on patrol in the world of the living, Naruki City. Enemies are invading the district, and we need back up! I don't know what to d-......aaargh!"
Izanagi heard the individual on the phone panicking while relaying this message, but the shinigami on the other end was cut off. With the sounds of few screams in the background including the shinigami on voice, the line soon disconnects. It is not a good sign. However, his lack of detail in the message was disturbing. He did not say what kind of enemy. Which Izanagi would go out on a limb and just assumed its hollows or possibly another......one of them.......
Togabito-2-1.png

Could it possibly be another Togabito attack? Izanagi wouldn't have known due to the report, but he imagines by the sound of screams, screams that is all too familiar to him when he had a fair share of listening to those sound of people in agony. Men in the rukon he killed in the past. Those men in the tenth division patrol within the world of the living is dead. Now, what caused it is something that needs investigating. In the back of Izanagi's mind, he had that image of the masked individual burned within his thoughts from what the reports had—only thinking the possibility that more like him had surfaced. The only way to find out is to leave and see what is going on.
"Dammit! Only four days! And already something is going on? I was hoping to play hooky and sleep. Though I know, Lieutenant would have my head if I don't do some work. *sigh* Oi! Old man Iba! Something big is going down in the world of the living. It might be some serious trouble. As much as I rather sleep, should we have a look or report to the Lieutenant first? I know she might be in that meeting or whatever, but I do not wish to hear her mouth, or maybe Shitsuka?"
Izanagi waited for Ryuga's reply. After all, he was a seated officer above him, and he would have to make the call. Regardless of choice, they both would be in deep water if something serious was to take place in the world of the living, in their condition, practically worn out from training. Izanagi is aware that they would be at a considerable disadvantage and would need reinforcement if the situation is called for them to retreat and wait.

Nothing seems to be different around the barracks from the ordinary. Members of the division do the usual from testing different spells, cleaning and talking to each other. On a normal day, it seems to be from Takashi's perspective.
” Anything out of the ordinary?”
Himari's voice is heard behind Takashi and he ends his search for around the barracks. Slowly he turns to look at her and his gaze locks on her. Bored and trying to lighten the mood, Takashi takes a deep breath before his Reiryoku begins to flow out of him. When he releases his Reiatsu it fills the entire space around him but only for a one second before he stops. The two members of Kidō Corps who stands at the gate quickly turn to Takashi and seem ready to attack him. A sign that they are not backing away from any danger, but as soon as Takashi stops, they shake their heads.
”No nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.”
Slowly, Takashi begin to sit down on the ground in front of Himari in the classic meditation pose with the legs crossed and moves his Zanpakutō from his right hip and places it on his lap with both hands resting on it.
”Please sit down and tell me about yourself Himari. Of all the districts in Rukongai, which one are you from?”
Small talk is something that Takashi is not good at and he prefers to just do his job and do what he wants afterwards. But something about Himari made him at least try to talk to her, even though it is one of the things he is not good at.

Near 5th Division barracks/Senkaimon gate
The first group of Division thirteen members to arrive at the gate came face to face with its Guardians, Takashi Kiyoshi and Himari Shimi. At the head of them were the current present ones of highest ranking without their 3rd seat and lieutenant present. They knew they had to wait for Katsuo, but their thoughts trailed to their third seat, who was potentially dying on the other side of that gate. Finally, one of them spoke, and relayed the information to the Guardians as to why they were there.
"sorry for the intrusion but we have little time; a call came in from Karakura town from our 3rd seat! Several menos grande have erupted from gargantas in Karatown and we need access to it! Please get permission to open the gate for 13th division as soon as possible!"
He explained.
"we are awaiting word from our Lieutenant here."
Near 1st Division barracks, at the gate.
The two youthful shinigami made their way post haste, nearly out of breath as the two appeared before the barrack gates to 1st division. Ignoring Jatiri Yabuki, they approach Enji with extreme haste.
"we have an emergency! We need to see our Lieutenant, Oda Katsuo-san at once! Several Garganta have opened in Karakura town and 13th is requesting back up for several menos grade hollows!
The dark haired girl told Enji. The two of them awaited for Enji to relay the information to his superiors; but the wait would be taxing; every moment waiting meant more of their comrades were dying in Karakura, and it was agonizing to think about.

“My apologies, Yabuki-san. Unfortunately, all of our direct superior officers are occupied with prior events.”
Nodding, nodding as if he seemed to let up, Jatiri, whose request was denied —he had to think fast. He would rather learn anything than turn back empty handed. His conclusion, picking the guards' brains was the way to go! But first, he would take a moment to dig through his own.
Before doing that, he discerned the jewel. The precious first division barracks, which housed some of the most formidable Shinigami in the gotei 13, stiffened Jatiri’s knees while his eyes cycled up, down, left, right. From where he stood, he felt entities, pulsating beyond the gates. And while his sight was blind to those distant individuals, he didn't believe Maho would be among them, sticking around, unless the captain's meeting was STILL in progress, which didn't seem likely.
But wait, grape eyes mentioned that his superior officers were tackling "prior events." What could these events be? Well, there was the former commander's situation as well as the devastated 77th among other things that Jatiri was ignorant of. His eyes settling again, he stared, consuming the words that came across mouthed.
“If it is important, then I suggest putting in a formal request. You will be unable to venture in any further at this point. Please return to your barracks.”
The guidance of a captain, no, a leader, cannot be overestimated. Maho Kojima, who led the ninth, bore many experiences, thus he had much to offer. This was partially why his absence was felt, partially why Jatiri would make an additional informal inquiry.
"Ah, noted."
Standing his ground, he understood Enji was just doing his job, but he felt he was doing the same.
"Might I add, seeing as though you both guard these gates, observing everyone who comes and goes, you guys must've seen Captain Kojima walking out from here after the captain's meeting, right?
..We were supposed to grab lunch."
He fibbed, adding context to his question, if only to come away with something of use, when suddenly, through surging vibrations, he detected the two who would soon add to Enji's workload.
"We have an emergency! we need to see our Lieutenant, Oda Katsuo-san at once! Several Garganta have opened in Karakura town and 13th is requesting back up for several menos grade hollows!"
"This is bad, really bad."
