“Not my concern.”
Higen-Divider.png

More time and days have passed since the last visit, yet making another trip to the World of the living has become seemingly wasteful. However, as part of Division Ten, it is the responsibility of anyone who is a part of this division to keep an eye on this particular city, which Izanagi had done when necessary, aside from protecting Naruki much he could. He still awaits the return of an enemy that has once again not made its presence known back into the human World—awaiting anxiously every second that passes, eager to taste the blood of the enemy he wants and need to hunt and kill. Izanagi's patience was becoming more unbearable these days to where he could or would kill anything that deemed a threat in any shape or form. No matter how weak and insignificant the danger may be. Izanagi was ready to put whatever threat came his way down with a strike of the sword that he carried around on the hip. Some could say that Izanagi's lust for vengeance and fighting was nothing but remnants from the previous division he used to be housed in before being brought to division 10.
His back lies against the rooftop's surface on some random building, somewhere within Naruki City. Both hands had fingers interlock with each other, where they were placed under his soft ruffle black/lavender hair, Izanagi's head using the hands for support to prevent the head from touching the surface. Both eyes closed wholly shut, usually doing this to ignore the constant day-to-day noises such as four-wheel vehicles that constantly make noises with their horns or even disregard the sound of people yelling unnecessarily. Though Izanagi's eyes were closed, he was not vulnerable, for the shinigami had been just lying in this very spot for hours after patrolling the city. He was focusing all of his concentration on sensing the surroundings in the area, picking up tiny reiatsu signatures, which could also describe as weak. Unfortunately, they were specks of reiatsu within humans and no hollows. Nevertheless, it wasn't a lot of these specks, just a small number of them scattered about in the area from where he laid.
Today for whatever reason, the number of hollows has been escalating compared to any other day. Left and right all day so far, Izanagi had been killing hollows, and this has been the first time he has been able to do nothing since arriving. And division ten patrol had been scattered throughout the city of Naruki to keep up with this sudden burst of appearances. So it has been silent since until the loud pinging sound resonated from the inside of the shihakusho. Izanagi reached inside for the denreishinki x, pressing the side of the button with the thump of the right hand. The screen showed a large red dot where a hollow had recently appeared.
“About time.”
Izanagi waited for something to pop off as he was itching to kill another prey, even if the prey wasn't the prey he desired. But, instead, Izanagi's legs pulled into the chest, bending at the knees, no hands involved; rolling back caused all the weight on his shoulders with his rear now in the air and off the ground. Both legs then kicked upwards into the air, making this movement quick and explosive to where he pushed off just shoulder and back alone. All of the momenta caused him to now land in a squatting position straight on the toes of Izanagi's feet. The heel of said feet remains off the ground, and all of this motion was one fluid and quick movement before disappearing from that spot. Body flickered out of view and appeared some distance away, but 30 feet in the air. He was staring in the direction of where this hollow had suddenly appeared. Suddenly, an explosion could be seen from a distance, which caused Izanagi to react by disappearing into a shunpo movement again, a bit faster than his previous steps. He had arrived near a building, one of the tallest buildings in Naruki City. The side of the building he stood by no longer had windows, wholly shattered, but seemingly nobody had been injured from whatever caused it. The stench of the hollow was gone. Just like that, it was gone. Is it hiding? Did it get killed? There was another hollow-like signature on the way here, but nothing was around. Was there a hollow battling for dominance and killed each other? That quickly?
“Impossible.”
Izanagi thought.
The masked scum was here and killed off, and the other signature he sensed had to be the reason. But where did they go? The phone pinged again, but Izanagi didn't have to look; he knew the sound was just another hollow sighting alert. The detection range had expanded further, and just like that, the signature of the next hollow dissipated as quickly as it appeared. Then his phone began ringing, and he was confident that it was just another member of the patrol division calling. Izanagi brought up the phone to the ear, and before he could even say a word, the person on the opposite side was already asking questions.
“Sir. Is that you? Killing all the hollows that quickly? Great job, si-!"
One questioned and praised Izanagi for a job he never did.
“Tch. Dumbass.”
That was all Izanagi said to the shinigami on the phone, and it went silent after that, more likely leaving the shinigami on the other side confused.
“It wasn't me. Now get off my damn line and find out who is. I want answers within the hour."
Izanagi put the phone down and away from the ear. Izanagi didn't complain but was disappointed that whoever had been taking the tiny bit of fun he could have to take a slice out of the small fries to pass the time. But, who or whatever it was doing his job, he wouldn't mind allowing them to continue doing the work. As long they don't get in the way of the main prey he wanted all along. Then, it shouldn't be a problem.....until it becomes one.
Izanagi-Split.png

In the meantime, Izanagi would find a spot to lie down while waiting to get answers from the patrol unit on who is responsible regardless. Information about the sudden disappearance would eventually need to be added to the report back to the division when asked if there is anything to report and the sudden hollows being killed off left and right. The Gotei would inevitably want some answers, but it wasn't an immediate priority.

Slaving over food, minding his business, he feels the sudden pressure of Stephiana rise… all he could think of was what the hell was going on, as it vibrates his food table and shakes the soup in his pot on the stove, he turns all the cooking pots down in temperature so things don't catch fire. Then, as suddenly as that started, he could sense that someone out there unleashed all hell again… there were probably Hollows all over the place out there…
Well… being not a young chicken anymore, he didn't want to step in. But, should those wanting to or capable of fighting, he did have his powers boosting the benefits of eating his food before they went off to battle. He'd heard the call to Stephiana's office, and had to go… well, he'd take the food up to them, he supposed… as he readied a food tray, and took the elevator up hoping things were done.
Once he reached the same floor as Max and Stephiana he stopped inches from her door and peered inside, dragging his cart along with food in stock. He assumed everything was alright, and shrugged. Don't need to ask, not his problem… he hums along and pours miss Stephiana and her guest a nice hot cup of Coffee, smiling as he places the cups before them.
"Good Morning! Quite the active one."
He said. Max might notice the other arm of the chef was made entirely of metal. Tsukune arrives a little late to say anything about what Max and Stephiana were talking about, missing the conversation entirety as he gives her a bit of her favorite food he cooked.
"Hmm… I'm sorry, I only cooked what I knew the others would like, Mr. Uh…I don't even know your name… hmm… well, take your choice of whatever is here… i made extra for any guests so you should be good! Enjoy your coffee!"

Arriving from Karakura Town————————————————————————————to Naruki City
Traveling through the timid skies of the World of the Living, the text he received from of the Quincy Empress ran through Shizuka’s mind like a wildfire.
“Stephania Shingetsu”
The name didn’t ring any bells to him. It wasn’t like he was very astute in his studies of the World of the Living. If it wasn’t something that he had seen constantly throughout his hundreds of years on patrol, it never encapsulated his mind. As the years went on, he still struggles to even remember the more insignificant fullbringers, that plague Naruki. Even the ones that tried to attack him in the past. Still though, he was assuming since a name was the only info he was provided she wouldn’t be hard to find in the World of the Living, specifically in Naruki City. Or maybe…. In the back of his mind, he wandered if the Empress didn’t want to help him at all in the first place. The thought resonated in his mind for a second, before he completely shut it out to continue his work.
Shizuka pulled out his Denreishinki X, and began sifting through his contacts. The first person he thought of as he scrolled down was his 3rd Seat, Izanagi Kiyoshi. He had just recalled he was stationed in Naruki, and now with this new info. It was going to be the perfect time to regroup. Landing softly from a shunpo on top of an abandoned building, Shizuka sent out a message to his 3rd Seat.
“Group up with me, ASAP, here’s my location.”
He sent out a ping, and expected Izanagi to follow suit within minutes. Whether his 3rd Seat would have arrived on time with 11th Division reinforcements was none of his concern. The mission had to move on with or without him, but it was guaranteed that he was going to need backup.
The next contact he scrolled down to was 12th Division’s Intel number. While he had no direct line to anyone specifically in 12th, this message going to be sent to 12th specifically as an inquiry. While he had hoped to build relationships within that specific division. Asking them for info for the first time in multiple years would definitely be the first step. Especially with all hands on deck for the hunt on the Fullbringers.
“Shizuka Hyouzoku, Lieutenant of 10th Division, inquiring extensive info about a…..Stephania Shingetsu that resides in Naruki City. Rumored to be a spiritually aware Human. Anything would suffice.”
To Shizuka, having pre-conceived information of Stephania would make a world of a difference. If forced to battle, having info would allow him to take point in the encounter. Making things go much smoother. Ever since the loss of his allies to the Togabito, the Vice Captain’s leadership skills increased tenfold along with his strength. He would never want to suffer a heartbreaking loss like the one he experienced with Yakimono-san.
The young shinigami laid down on his back, staring into the sky as he waited for any of his comrades to arrive.
“Let’s see who gets here first.”

"Stephania, tell me, what do you happen to know about Hollows? Given our nature we have obviously come into contact with them before in our time, if not for them attacking our mothers we wouldn’t exist. However, would you ever, let's say, ponder the thought of working with such creatures?"
The woman takes a cup in her hand, inhaling the scent of a freshly brewed cup left behind by the CEO, the aroma has a calming effect on the woman as she listens to the man speak. With no surefire way to tell how much trust she can give the monster in the man costume, she is wary of how much she divulges on their initial meeting. How is she to know he will not betray her and kill her, or worse, steal from her. She takes a small sip of the bitter liquid, then exhales.
"What I deem necessary, in terms of them attacking, the chances for fullbringers tend to rise exponentially when they attack women."
She omits details of the manufactured perfume, specifically made to lure these creatures to women, and continues.
"As for working with them, I have not encountered a hollow intelligent enough to consider it, most of what tends to cross over is easily disposed of, as you saw today, or the type one is unable to bargain with. If a reasonable one did lend an ear, I would definitely be inclined to see what they could offer, and in turn, do the same."
She pauses briefly. This was an interesting turn of conversation. If anyone else heard the woman speak of considering collaborating with monsters, they would most certainly deem her insane to the full extent of the word. She nearly chuckles at the thought.
"We fullbringers have drawn the short stick, the shinigami are able to retreat to soul society, the quincy to their sombras, and hollows back to Hueco Mundo, while we are left in the ruins made by all three. Personally, I have no interest in dying under these circumstances, and I doubt other fullbringers will be eager to die when the quincy no longer see us as useful, or the shinigami deem us a threat for simply existing. Despite us being a line of defense they fail to see. Still, the hollow population is controlled to the best of our ability."
From her desk, she draws a new communicator and a pair of Chikara Kaihō, then places them on the desk between the two. As she does, a soft knock is heard from the doors to her office, pulling her attention from her visitor.
"Perfect timing." She calls out, "Please, come in."
The doors open, allowing both Han'ei and Tsukune to enter the office. She doesn't stand, but all the same acknowledges both with a nod. Then, as the chef unveils the contents beneath the silver protective domes, the woman's face lights up at the sight of the cubed jicama, cut precisely into small bite-sized pieces. Perfect for the lipstick wearing woman. As the fruit doused in lime and spices makes its way closer, her mouth nearly waters with anticipation while taking a plate from Tsukune as he hands it over. She takes a small dessert fork in hand, but before gorging herself with such, the woman gently sets the plate down.
"Good Morning! Quite the active one."
The Seamstress takes the final sip of coffee left by Hansha, in doing so, she begins to sense the world around her, and every living and non-living creature. Everything that so foolishly lets their presence be known by anyone with any semblance of knowledge in sensing can hone in on these distinct spiritual signatures. Not human, nor hollow. For the first time in a long time Shinigami make their presence known in Naruki City. A soft sigh escapes her lips, beginning to steadily circulate her spiritual energy within her body before opening her eyes. The chef places a freshly brewed cup of coffee before the woman, making her hesitate as the piercing golden eyes stare at the coffee. This hesitation is due to never, in the many years of having known each other, having drank a coffee that was not personally made by Hansha.

"Hmm… I'm sorry, I only cooked what I knew the others would like, Mr. Uh…I don't even know your name… hmm… well, take your choice of whatever is here… I made extra for any guests so you should be good! Enjoy your coffee!"
"...So let me continue. This communicator allows us to take real time information on anything we come across. Be it friend or foe, amongst other things. Primarily, they will be able to notify us when and where someone is being attacked, and give us whatever information is being compiled as cameras around the city record this information. While normal humans may not be able to perceive these happenings, we can see the footage for what it is, and act accordingly without going in blind." She takes a releaser bomb in hand and offers it to Maximiliano. "This allows us to store reiatsu and steadily release it, which will be useful when trying to lose a tail, or bait a dangerous foe. Isn't that right, Han?"
She turns to man, tasked with upgrading the company's security system, giving him the room to talk as finally retaking the fork in hand, and bringing a small bite-sized piece of jicama to her mouth, thoroughly enjoying the texture of the crunch, the acidity of the lime, and the spice of the seasonings melding together in her mouth. The designer does not fully divulge her plans, but already has things set in motion by having her star model, Sukoshi, prematurely fill several of these Chikara Kaihō while she was out extending an invitation to the possible ally.

Chit-Chat

Max sits in silence as Stephania speaks, he doesn’t bother trying to read her character because for him this is just a fun outing to enjoy himself and no reason to take it too seriously. But this does not mean he is not listening to her words carefully.

"What I deem necessary, in terms of them attacking, the chances for fullbringers tend to rise exponentially when they attack women. As for working with them, I have not encountered a hollow intelligent enough to consider it, most of what tends to cross over is easily disposed of, as you saw today, or the type one is unable to bargain with. If a reasonable one did lend an ear, I would definitely be inclined to see what they could offer, and in turn, do the same."

Max couldn’t help but chuckle at what she said because it only reaffirmed what he thought about the Hollows who did come over to the living world. They are desperate, cowardly, and unhinged, but most importantly, weak. So weak that they must pray on these humans who, so far, have been a real delight in the eyes of the God King. The seamstress does seem willing to talk to a cooperative one, it depends on how far this conversation can go before Max reveals his true self to her.

He places his elbow on the arm-rest of the chair and then rests his head in his palm listening to her. He has an expression of great interest, however, he knows all these things already none of it is new to him. What it seems to be though is that these Fullbringers lack a place of solace to retreat to when the need for retreat comes up. Their population may be small due to their short lived lives but also it may be small due to Shinigami interference as well. They are cattle who are all rounded up in Naruki or Karakura so it only takes a single order and group of Shinigami to swoop in and purge their numbers. Slowly Max starts to put together a bargain in his mind as it seems like these humans have enemies on all sides without a haven to call their own. Max takes a look at the communicator and the other two strange devices she sets on the table, he frowns a bit as his eyes focus to study them at a distance. A few knocks at the door snap him out of his studious gaze, shifting it to those who are now entering.

Han’ei and Tsukune enter the room, Max looking at both of them , sizing them up. The older male with white long hair and a cart of food does not seem like a fighter, though his artificial arm leads Max to believe he may have been involved in conflict once before. Not only that but with Max’s Indice Radar he is able to pick up on Tsukune’s Reiryoku level. His eyes shift again to the darker skinned individual who does look like a fighter, he too has his Reiryoku level probed by Max.

"Hmm… I'm sorry, I only cooked what I knew the others would like, Mr. Uh…I don't even know your name… hmm… well, take your choice of whatever is here… I made extra for any guests so you should be good! Enjoy your coffee!"

Max chuckles a bit before responding.

”No need to worry, amigo, I’ll be just fine. Thank you for your hospitality.”

These humans are so fascinating, so trusting and kind to a stranger they have never met. Such things are not seen in Hueco Mundo, well not until after the two parties have fought against one another. Not an ounce of hostility in the room, all warm smiles with the sharing of food and drink. Yes, their abilities may be dangerous, however, there is no reason to purge such kindly creatures.

He accepts it and observes all sides of this bomb. "This allows us to store reiatsu and steadily release it, which will be useful when trying to lose a tail, or bait a dangerous foe. Isn't that right, Han?"

How innovative, while it is nothing as grand as what Izeel has cooked up it is still very impressive for humans. They seem to place a great deal of focus on survival more than anything else. Strong as they may be even they know and understand they are outnumbered and outgunned in the Spiritual World. Max sets the bomb down and leans back in his seat, not saying anything for a bit. These Full Bringers won't last long against a Shinigami or Quincy attack, they don’t have the means to properly fight back against these ancient superpowers, but Max does. He looks to the ceiling now with a smile on his face, his ebony hair cascading along his shoulders and down the back of the chair. No place to run, no place to truly call safe, all they can do is prepare to the best of their ability and hope they can squeeze out a few more breaths before they are cut or shot down. What a terrible existence to live where you can barely even trust those of your own race, it is so… Hollow-esque.

”Señorita Stephania, you and your ilk are like babies before the eyes of such entities, Hollow, Quincy, and Shinigami that is. The Hollows you lot purge are probably three times your age, yet with all that time they have accumulated they are snuffed out by beings who barely have a grasp on their powers. It happens so, so, so often. These bombs and comunicadores are great inventions, but they mean nothing before a great hunter. You toss your masking bomb only for it to be ignored because the being giving chase has superior sensory abilities. You gather information with the other device to properly access the situation and respond properly, yet what you believe to be accurate data is thrown off when the being shows a new level of unrecorded power or ability.”

He rises to his feet, placing his hands in his pockets as he walks towards a window to gaze out at Naruki City, with streams of yellow energy flowing from his feet which then race down the side of the tower and spread across the city. The Hollow Bait seems to be circulating quite well given the number of Hollow’s filling the city at this moment. The Shinigami must be slacking off to let this many enter uncontested. He could easily turn them all away back to Hueco Mundo with a quick flash of his Reiatsu, but what fun would that be? Surely those in the room have to be picking up a strange vibe from Maximiliano by now, while it is strange it is not hostile, not the sort of feeling to put one on guard as even he has no interest in attacking those in this room.

”Given how you are treated with respect by these two individuals and how humans flocked to you out there, I can understand you are a person of importance. Having your own room at the top of this massive tower tells me you are of great prestige, a leader perhaps? If so you must know what power is then, yes?”

Max never turns away from the window, staring out of it as he talks and brings up the question of power to her. This question is something to just humor himself with, he doesn’t expect any sort of great answer because what does a person who has only lived about 30ish years know about power compared to a being who has lived for over a thousand?
God Answers a Prayer.

”Understand Señorita Stephania, I mean no disrespect when I say this, but you only think you know power. But now you know me. A Hollow has lended its ear to you and heard the plight you face here in the living world. Your kind are like distance cousins, birthed from interactions with Hollows and as such your powers are closely related to our kind. Your words have not fallen onto the ears of a mere messenger, no, they have fallen onto the ears of the God of Hollows himself.”

Why would Max say this? Why would he reveal himself so soon? Silly questions, this man does as he pleases, he walks in silence when he chooses to and right now the silent walking is done. The yellow streams of energy that raced down the tower were his Indice Radar and they have, so far, picked up two Shinigami signatures, a lesser one and another one that feels almost as if it is captain level. The body of the God King seems to stiffen up, it is obvious enough for everyone to notice along with the sound of static echoing in the room. Max’s Reiatsu is still suppressed and with everyone's eyes on him there is not a single move he can make without them noticing unless it was some sort of high speed movement like Sonido. The sound of sipping is then heard towards the middle of the room, a pale man with a headscarf holding a cup by its rim while sipping on some of the extra coffee Tsukune brought in.

”BLEGH! You humans enjoy this bitter drink!? I prefer colder beverages and foods to be honest. Anyway…”

Sitting on the table in the middle of the room he rests his head on his hand and looks towards Stephania smiling.
736036a1c5b5391baeb189bc13409209.png

”Primos (Cousins) I personally welcome you to make a home in the sands of Hueco Mundo. We can have a home built for you in no time, one that triumphs over this paltry tower you call home. You can be as close or as far from Las Noches as you wish and we shall teach you how to use Descorrer to go to and from Hueco Mundo at your own discretion. Now you need not fear a boxed in death from your foes and as a bonus you have an endless supply of Hollows to lead unsuspecting women to. Ah, I guess I should let the Arrancar and other Hollows know you and your group are off limits from eating and killing haha!”

This is complete and utter whiplash and Max doesn’t seem to notice or care. Out of his Gigai he is no longer readable as a mere Fullbringer, yet, with his own ability to suppress his Reiatsu along with the scarf on his head he is unreadable anyway. However, this bargaining isn’t expected to be one sided either, Stephania and the others will have their say as well, if they even can say anything from such sudden developments. Bold and brazen are good terms to describe Max to take such large strides without care of when he steps on or disturbs because why does it matter when it will just be crushed beneath his boot? That said his offer is genuine even his earlier words of seeing Fullbringers as cousins, what does he have to gain from this potential partnership? Simple, more soldiers for an ever growing army.
