Death.
A subject many feel fear when it comes forth. A subject many avoid, its powerful pain making the hearts of people ache in pain. Death. A concept so similar to the Void of Kyo.
Both flow one's own essence into the lithe, while also removing their existences from being.
Kyo's thoughts towards this moment are - oddly enough - filled with nothing but Death. Thoughts on how one's life has been lived and whether it was a good or bad life. A great question, one that not even philosophers would be able to answer - simply because each and every one of us lives with a different creed, a different motto.
And yet, Kyo's eyes show something different. His eyes are still alive. His body - even as damaged as it is - can still act and move. Yes. He had made mistakes. Who hasn't made mistakes in their own lives? At least he lived steadfast, following his own beliefs and his own testament. And his beliefs and testament now screamed at Kyo.
It screamed at Kyo.

From where Κyo was, his eyes could witness every single action that everyone performed - be they an ally, an enemy. or the odd inbetween that the Quincy are currently.
Kyo's eyes look as how the female Quincy utilizes the field of shadow to disappear - her dragging her own ally with her something commendable, especially with how the situation is right now. In general it is not good to leave a battlefield. Doing so, would endanger everyone else. And yet, it was the best possible action.
The colors of gold and vibrant blue would engulf the world for less than a moment - the spectacle being a marvel.
Kyo would smile, his eyes focused on the trap left behind by the woman. He wonders if that will be enough.
He hates the Togabito named Sword Eater. Not because of the state he is in, no. He hates it because it never stood to face him as he had. He hates it because Sword Eater lacks logic. Actually Sword Eater has logic. Kyo understood the said logic behind its thought process. Yes. He did. But he also knows one, one tiny thing that Sword Eater lacks in understanding. Out of everyone Sword Eater faced, Kyo is the one that it should fear the most. In a fight that both fought each other and without the other distractions, Sword Eater's survival would be miniscule. Oddly enough, so was Kyo's. The chances in play are odd. And all fall on whether Kyo would be able to land one single stab upon Sword Eater.
Currently Kyo lacked the strength to stand tall and fight against Sword Eater. He lacked the strength he would need to face it alone. He expected - from those that he knew - that they would follow. His sensei, Omoni, was one who taught him that the best defense is offense. She was the one that paved the way for Kyo’s reasoning of first being a warrior and then being a Shinigami. The difference between the two is quite miniscule.
After Kyo changed divisions, his coming into division 13 had been a nice and refreshing situation. He met interesting people, of which the most important for now were Katsuo and Oyama. He was honored to have met Shinigami with such pure beliefs. And he knew that they would do their best in honoring the way of division 13.
And yet; the opposite happened today. Kyo went in and instead of being followed, the others stood back. He knew that if he asked them their answers would not be what he expected. No. He did not mind. He understood their reason. The enemy they faced was touch. It is hard to face adversity when your body screams that death is imminent. He knows it. Or more precisely he understands the logic behind that, but he has never tasted it.
Kyo welcomes death. It is the reason he exists. He is void of feelings and even those that he feels are not fully understood. They lack a certain touch within his heart.
And so, Kyo watches. He has sensed the arrival of two more people. One that he doesn’t know. The other is a friend. An old friend of Kyo’s and someone he has partnered with many times in the past.
And yet, going by the actions shown by his other allies, he decides to not place their arrival as something he can use.
He decides to use his own actions, whatever the outcome may be. If death came, then so be it. At the very least, he wished that he could be capable of at the least hindering Sword Eater so that it would finally be destroyed.
As for the exact reason as to why Kyo is the one that should be the most feared person in the vicinity for Sword Eater, the answer lies in Sword Eater's - presumed - ability of eating something and taking it within, becoming one with it. Out of everyone within the vicinity at the moment, only Kyo's Zanpakutō is the only one capable of actually harming their own user - be they fakes, like Sword Eater, or the genuine user, Shinjitsu Kyo.
It is an ability meant to represent the end. The bliss that follows this end is eternal, as the void works in such a way that simply removes one’s traces from the Nirvanic cycle.
Kyo's eyes have never left the opponent. His mind always feeds him information for anything. Kyo's hand holding the handle of his weapon, angled in an odd way - its - nonexistent - tip pointed towards Kyo's heart. Kyo's eyes are focused and he awaits. His Reiryoku levels become higher and higher as the moments pass. Kyo is a vessel that is neverending. The vessel is capable of filling continuously, making Kyo a naturally nigh impossibly hard to be depleted battery.
His energy is forced to stay within - no force appearing as of yet. His usage of his own Reiryoku had been close to null, always waiting for the moment he would need. At the start he had used his energy and saw that it barely had any effect on Sword Eater. The result of that was how he ended up missing his legs. And yet, he did not mind. He understood some things. He now knew that while his strength at the moment was lacking, he could utilize that lacking strength to win. He needed to wait. His missing his legs came with Kyo tagging the essence of Sword Eater. This allowed Kyo to drag himself towards Sword Eater. And he knew that it was coming.
A chance.
The chance.
Kyo witnesses how an electric current passed through Omoni's Empress, reaching and damaging her. But, as Kyo would expect from someone he looked up to, she did not waver. She stood strong and went on to drag Sword Eater down; finally a visible damage was produced upon its body.
Sword Eater's legs now lost and Kyo smiles. Now both were in the same situation. He knows his chance is close now. Kyo's sword, as his eyes are focused upon this spectacle, is slowly but surely being inserted within his heart. The sensation slowly filled him, being the same as when the battle began. He had not yet fully committed, he knew his chance was coming but it wasn't now. He was ready though.
At the same time, Kyo had not stopped himself from being dragged towards Sword Eater. His own pull was slow, a miniscule amount of Reiatsu was currently utilized. He had felt the acceleration that was brought forth from Omoni’s actions and this was the way that Kyo had avoided the chains that were about to hit him. First the chains moved - following their own master - and then Kyo’s body followed. This acceleration was something good. Kyo smiled even more. The chance was near.
Kyo hears as Omoni's voice fills the area, her own voice a scream of fury. He smiles. He expects to see her as she was in the 11th Division. As the former colleague he had.
Sadly, that does not come. He sees a fragment of her glorious past. Instead of going in she turns about. This shakes Kyo’s heart - even if he does not understand it, nor place any focus on that. If he were able to speak to her, he would say that he understands. Death is scary for most.
And so, Kyo sees the glimmering lights leaving from Sword Eater's mouth, their aim being obviously that of Omoni.
Yet, Kyo stands, waits. He witnesses as a Quincy acts. The actions of this Quincy would be forever engraved within Kyo’s memories and mind. He was one of the few who acted properly.
Sadly, in this day, the Quincy were more like a Shinigami than the Shinigami were.
The red haired Quincy’s voice of calling the name of a technique is heard. Kyo would study the techniques of the Quincies in depth, unsure what the technique does - or at least that is the plan if his yet to come actions allow him to survive.
The distraction that the red haired Quincy had brought forth, is one that Kyo quite likes. He can utilize it. And he does. His blade is finally fully committed - driven within his heart and then being removed. Kyo smiles - the thrill of the battle once more granting Kyo a raison d'etre, as for a bit of time he felt as if he had become a punching bag. Well, burnt and slashed bag, but who cares for the etymology.
Thus, Kyo witnesses the marvel of this Quincy. This memory will remain forever engraved within his mind. How one Quincy acted like a Shinigami, when the Shinigami had simply stood and done nothing at all. Kyo would commend Quincy. Alas, he understood; nay, felt the problem.
While the red haired Quincy had managed to damage Sword Eater gravely - he too got damaged.
Out of everyone within the vicinity, the only one that would be able to recognize it the moment
IT was utilized, was Kyo. His Void was being used by the enemy. Albeit crudely, as it lacked the depth it would need to properly do its work. Its rate was slow and could easily be countered if the red haired Quincy simply focused his own energies to counteract the feeding of the Void, or doubling - at the minimum - the general amount of energy that was used. Specifically, the Void works in a simple way. The user feeds it the starting energy which defines the rate of expansion and force the Void has, while the one that was stabbed and whom the Void eats is capable of defending themselves by feeding the Void their own energy to either stall their demise or - and if they do have the energy reserves - neutralize the Void by inserting at a minimum twice the amount of energy first inserted within the Void. And going by the rate of how Sword Eater's rapid regeneration worked, it was obvious that Sword Eater inserted a miniscule amount of Reiatsu, something that can be negated in other words. As for whether the red haired Quincy had the reserves to do so, or not; that is another question.
Kyo witnesses the body, nay, the carcass of Sword Eater falling down. Its chains are always fused with its essence and always following it. Especially the tagged spot - that being about a palm's length away from the core of Sword Eater.
"Good bye."
Kyo's silent words are heard around him. Whether anyone would hear his words, quite close to being whispered, was unknown. He immediately unleashed the full force of his Reiatsu, fully committed to bring about the best outcome he could. To say that Omoni's Reiatsu had been strong and engulfed the area, then that would be true. But to explain the sensation of what was felt the moment Kyo's own Reiatsu was used, would be like showcasing a difference between an elephant and a mouse. Yes, Omoni is strong. So is her own Reiatsu. Its strength is one that can properly showcase why she can be said to be the one who leads the Shinigami - until the arrival of her own captain that is. The same for everyone else's currently within the vicinity.
And yet, the moment Kyo's is activated the world itself changes to something that feels muddled. The colors become disaturated. The world starts distorting, as if looking through a numerous amount of dirty glasses upon dirty glasses. His Reiatsu - ever-growing - now capable of encompassing all of Karakura town and a bit more. And this is just the residual amount of Reiatsu that is not focused upon the carcass of Kyo's enemy. While the amount of Reiatsu and Reiryoku Kyo can command is astronomical, that means nothing if he cannot control it. And he can. His control over his own Reiatsu is one that is beyond belief - going by how he can’t focus his own Reiryoku in such a way as to hide his own existence from others. He is always leaking an amount of Reiryoku. And yet, the amount he commands is astronomically high, as its force is at the same time.
Kyo had focused all the Reiatsu he could muster within a moment upon this entity - upon Sword Eater’s carcass. He would proceed to pull himself to Sword Eater - the amount of the Reiatsu he had inserted was about six times the amount of Reiatsu that Kyo had unleashed in the general vicinity. In other words, the speed Kyo would muster was insane, as his pull towards the carcass was proportionate to the amount of energy he had utilized to pull himself to it. Would he miss that energy and need to focus himself once more in order to refill it? Yes. He would need to do so. But he did not mind. He knew that if he allowed Sword Eater to rejuvenate, something that was obvious since the very first moment Sword Eater was damaged thanks to utilizing the Empress’ powers, Kyo knew that he had to immediately go in. If it rejuvenated, then his death was at a high possibility.
Kyo went in. His speed would allow him to reach Sword Eater within the same time it takes for someone to blink. Yes, he would be damaged from this acceleration. He knew that much. He also knew that this was the best moment to erase the existence of Sword Eater.
Kyo was sure he would survive being critically damaged to his head area purely because he knew the sturdiness of his body. Mere terrain means nothing to a Shinigami after all.
And so, he let loose. Like a comet, his body disappeared but not before his lips opened and words were heard.
"MISSION #11!"
Kyo's words would sound as nonsense, had it not been for Takahiro being nearby. Takahiro was and still is a close friend of Kyo's, one with whom they had trained and gone to missions. Their 11th mission had a peculiar happening, where Kyo was forced to drag the attention of an enemy, while Takahiro landed the death blow. Kyo's words were a reminder of that, hopefully Takahiro would assist Kyo - in the case Sword Eater managed to rebuild its being before Kyo reached it.
And so, Kyo finally appeared besides Sword Eater. Within that moment - a total of just under a second had passed since Kyo had stabbed himself in the heart to activate his technique and gone in. Kyo's hands had both been angled in a proper way that when he reached Sword Eater's body they would come in contact with the mush without Kyo's need to make any alterations. No matter what his thought processing speed is and his own physical speed is, it would be nigh improbable to create minor alterations in such a moment and within such circumstances, unless Kyo was capable of utilizing Shunpo - something he would definitely train for if he survived. If only he was capable of utilizing Shunpo, he would have been a better support instead of a hindrance. He knew that.
Kyo's hands finally came in contact with the carcass, as it immediately and with zero chances of nullification became a Void within the world. A black hole has now appeared upon Karakura. This Black Hole had the properties of existing for as long as the item or being touched could exist, all the while devouring the Reiryoku of whatever was touched - be it the master of the Void or anything else. The amount of Reiatsu devoured per moment was astronomical and it is the reason why the black hole would remain for less than a second. Sadly, that one second could prove to be fatal for anyone but Kyo. If the Reiatsu Kyo had at the time, had been capable to be quantified in a number, then the quantified force this black hole had achieved was at minimum a hundred of those numbers. And moment by moment its energy would rise also in the hundreds.
In other words it meant the death of any and all spiritual beings around the black hole - minus Kyo who was immune to it. Provided they were sucked within this black hole that is.
Alas, their death would never come. You see, Kyo
is the master of this black hole. And while it is true that this black hole's force was such, the moment it started activating Kyo's own Reiatsu disappeared. It became as Kyo never existed. As if he was never in this battleground.
His own being was last seen entering the core of this black hole.
He knew that he would feel nothing. He would not be damaged by the force of the black hole. And he knew that - with him within the core of this black hole - that he could fully manipulate its force and command it. And that is exactly what he did. He forced the black hole's energy to flow within one specific spot. His own heart. His own being. He would utilize the energy of this black hole to feed his own energy reserves, to flare them up and have them grow even more. It was something doable, as Kyo’s vessel was ever hungry. Its hunger was never satiated and it’s the reason Kyo is capable of commanding such an immense amount of energy.
In other words, he would
cheat his way in how he filled his energy reserves. In doing so, he would be damaged. The black hole’s master, Kyo, would be damaged as his vessel would expand immensely. Kyo was used to his vessel expanding continuously. Alas, the expansion was mostly linear with no spikes. And now, a spike had been created as Kyo was devouring the black hole which was formed from Sword Eater's own energy. What a tragic end for a being that mattered to nothing in the end.
The one that hungered ended up as the one that was used as food in the end.

It only stayed for a moment. Kyo's body came out afterwards. His eyes would look at the red haired Quincy. Had the Quincy managed to neutralize the void, then Kyo would nod.
Sadly the Quincy was slowly being erased. With how near Kyo was to this man, seeing his actions and hearing his words and heartbeat. Kyo understood. He was a man who had lived a full life. He would die with - probably - nothing to hold him back. Kyo knew that this person was someone he would engrave within his own mind. He knew of that. And he wished that he had met the man sooner.
Afterwards, Kyo would fall unconscious after the black hole had dissipated, his body would fall to the ground. He was alive. The energy had slightly revitalized him, but did not remove the damage. Kyo was now stabilized and hopefully would receive treatment.
All that remained within Kyo's mind was one thing.
That he survived and that he would need to reevaluate some beliefs of his.
