While the truth of the Hollow was that most were simply beasts in both body and mind, there were others that were different. To the Arrancar, it seemed as though they all believed themselves above the rest of their kind, a different thing in it’s entirety. Perhaps they were right, but to the likes of Helliodoro, many Arrancar and Hollow alike had fallen, reduced to nothing, there was no separation. The only definitive difference between any unique individual is where their own strength put them. Somewhere underneath the heavy layer of stupidity, there was a piece of Helliodoro that refused to become an Arrancar until the universe gave him a true reason, a true means. It would not be so simple as to tear the mask from his being. This challenge, much like the rest, perhaps it could be used as a guide, a stepping stone. Hopeful idiocy.
Down below his realm, the sky, he wasn’t aware of what the
King had said or done with the rest of the Reiryoku sources below, but they had not moved, unlike Vincent himself, who had made his way to the roof the ruined Las Noches. The glowing golden spots behind the mask, they remained as bright as ever, perhaps even brighter now as his newfound target was marked. Alongside, the already more than impressive source of Reiryoku that was the supposed
King, he had produced from seemingly nowhere, another object to take note of. Much like Vincent, it was easily distinguishable from the rest of those in the surrounding area, vibrant, obscenely potent in it’s effect. Reminiscent of Helliodoro himself if anything, disturbingly similar in fact.. Soon after this reveal, a response.
Venir...MIJO!!
Mijo was it? Son? Far from it. Regardless of what he had been referred to as, he watched from above for a few seconds, one, two, th-. A cacophony of violent vibrations had enveloped the air surrounding Helliodoro but yet, the Vasto Lorde remained unphased. It was a light surprise at first, but he was certain this was simply a courtesy and nothing more. Not but a moment following the arrival of the Vagido, the mouth of the Vasto Lorde would slowly pry open. A wide, toothy maw that seemed to reveal nothing but a bleak darkness on the inside. Before the Vibrations had finished a small, baseball sized ball had formed mere inches from his mouth. A vibrant white Reiryoku, the same that had bleached the skies previously, although it was heavily condensed this time around. Instead seeming more like an abnormally bright star in the far distance. The tremors in the air, caused by the vagido of the
King seemed to last a couple of seconds, no more and as it came to the end of these vibrations, the tennis ball sized orb of Reiryoku had already exponentially grown, a circumference now of roughly a foot, not only had the size grown but the compressed nature of the Reiryoku had only further developed.
At the very moment in which the tremors had come to their end, this Vasto Lorde’s Cero was unleashed. The orb of a foot in circumference unfurling into a beam of twenty times the area. As though the stars had grown tired of the trifling of mortal beings, a torrential power descended toward the Arrancar who had replied to the Vasto Lorde. Between the two, the distance was great already, a total of five miles but yet this Cero of his would meet it’s mark in no more than five seconds. It was an impressive pace for certain, but the king would be given more than enough time to react. To those perceptive enough, the area surrounding this stream of Reiryoku seemed to have become distorted visually. It was odd and perhaps some would pin the cause to a few things but perhaps the cause would be revealed soon enough, depending on the
King’s reply.
Of course, Helliodoro was not as bright mentally as he was physically, as such he had not planned out much but he wanted to test just what it meant to be king. Depending on the reply of the Arrancar, those below would either be subject to the Cero’s effects and be forced to defend themselves if they were unlucky enough to be within the effective area of this blast.
The release of the complete beam, it wouldn't last the full five seconds, merely two seconds before it was fully released. During the time in which the cero was fired toward it's mark, from Helliodoro's back, six identical, bone protrusions seemed to erupt from his back, three to each side extending out at about four feet in length behind him, almost as if imitating a pair of wings. From there, there were a few possible paths for Helliodoro which all depended on Vincent's reactions. Had Vincent stood his ground however, at the moment in which the Cero had been completely unleashed, Helliodoro had taken flight elsewhere. The same pressurized jets of Reiryoku that propelled him forth to this very location would emerge once more, launching him in the same path that his Cero set toward. However, his path would not be a straight forward one, instead electing to proceed forward in a zigzagging motion so as not to collide with the Cero himself. From north, to south and east to west, Helliodoro would catch up to the speed at which his Cero traveled, only due to the path he had taken.
From the method that Helliodoro had displayed, it seemed as though there was little to no control, it was all very abrupt, brisk. Even so, it was in fact all a masterful control over this ability he possessed,
Estrella Voladora. As with every time he utilized this technique, a meaningless trail of white particles followed him, a comets tail of sorts. At the very moment in which his Cero would make contact with either Vincent or Las Noches, Helliodoro could be seen, sensed, heard or whatever, depending on who was trying to find him, atop the roof of Las Noches. Stood a mere ten meters in front of where Vincent would be, there was no indication that Helliodoro would take advantage of whatever advantage he could potentially have, he wanted to see just what this Arrancar was capable of. It was clear that there was difference between Vincent and any other Arrancar or Hollow that Helliodoro had encountered. The protrusions on his back, all six, they possessed the same tone as the other bony features of Helliodoro but at this very moment they seemed riddled with vibrant white glowing veins that spread all through out them. Almost captivating to gaze at.
