He had a look of growth on him, still relaxed and collected like he remembered him to be. He had nothing to fear for Sixth division when he left his previous post, bequeathing the mantle of highest seated officer over to him. He could tell his arrival was welcomed, he had helped bring Sixth together in a time where its loyalties could easily have been questioned due to the actions of one of its former members who ultimately paid the ultimate price for his folly. Once he knew he had Sora’s attention he looked on with nothing but pride. Warmly greeted by his former partner, and the rest of the Division, the new Third of Sixth walked over to meet Shusuke and greet him for the first time in a century.

”Shusuke! Long time no see! How has 9th been treating you since you became Yasu’s Lieutenant?”
Shusuke’s face grimaced, not out of hate for Sora or a dislike but of the casual way he referred to his superior and “primary” caretaker. Truth be told, it was Shusuke that really handled the bulk of the paperwork while he had to then track down Captain Yugure for final confirmation only to be told he didn’t need her anyway since she trusted him dearly. He slowly raised an eyebrow and shook his head in slight disapproval. Figuring it was probably his fault for leading less with a heavy hand rather than a loose one which was fairly inconsistent with honorifics and things of that nature. He intended to correct Sora as much as he admired him, and leaned forward closer toward him to whisper in his ear.
Sora. You refer to her as Captain Yugure. Although she isnt’ your direct superior, the respect still is demanded. You know I don't mind if you let it slip with me every once in a while. But you gotta send the young bucks a certain message or the respect gets skewed. Right Jatiri?”
Without even looking behind him or altering his body's positioning, he directly spoke to Jatiri Yabuki who had been talking to the Lieutenant since he had left the barracks. He was fully aware of his presence, allowing him to follow closely behind. He was instructed by his Captain to look after those in Ninth, and Jatiri was instructed to follow Shusuke's example. Simple tasks for both Shinigami, but it was everything that came in between simplicity and complication that would prove to be the difference maker. As a newer member to Ninth, Shusuke initially took a step back to observe his new comrades so he could best assist them and aid them and their superior. With little time, he made himself a staple among his Ninth Division peers, as they would often go to him for advice and clarification in where their Captain lacked.
Jatiri would be standing next to him, calm and silent, taking in the scene around him. Shusuke wondered how he felt around the mess of Adjudicator's. His face wouldn't let loose an expression.
image0.png

"Hello, hello Lieutenant. May I join you guys?"
He meekly spoke. Shusuke couldn't help but let out a laugh full of gusto. Taking his left hand and ruffling Jatiri's black mop then looking back at Sora who looked as if he was getting paged, fumbling through his pockets to answer a video message from one of the Four Great Seireimon Gatekeepers (四大瀞霊門門番, “Shidai Seireimon Monban”), Akuyaku Taiyo. A calm and benevolent giant in comparison to his gargantuan brethren, he contacted Sora to alert him of a person who went by the name of Hideaki Shinomourin. Shusuke'a ears perked up instantly upon hearing the name. He had gone missing since he went off to heed the call of the Tenteikura after the Rukongai incident over a century ago. Having hadn't seen him since, he wondered truly where he could've gone after all this time had passed…
Sora turned his phone screen to face Shusuke to have him confirm the identity of Hideaki. Leaning forward and giving the devices face a good squint, after deciphering the likeness it very well was Hideaki who was stopped at the Red Hollow Gate (朱洼門, “Shuwaimon”).
"Sorry to cut the small talk short, but if this is who I think it is, pretty strong coincidence that you both show up to Sixth division today. Shall we go greet our old friend?"
Nodding out of confirmation, he was chuffed to see all of his former division mates all in one day. It wouldn't take long after Hideaki had arrived via escort from his own men from Ninth. His presence could be felt as his reiraku rapidly reentered the Seireitei’s inner wall. It would appear as if the giant had taken liberties with his post and decided to get cheeky with the new arrivals...yet again. It couldn’t be helped, it was probably for the best in any case as it sped up the time of his arrival in a near cartoonish way. It was however with the first glance of Hideaki that Shusuke knew that this wasn’t the same young man whom he had seen all those years prior. Something about him had changed, the gleam in his young eye or was it the disappearance of his boisterous youthfulness? He just simply couldn't place it, but he was indeed different. Their eyes met, his grey globes clashing with his purple hues. There wasn’t tension nor excitement, just two hardened men sizing one another up. ”That young man has been through a lot.” spoke the raspy female voice lurking in the darkest depths of his cortex. He knew who spoke but chose not to bless her with an answer.
Looking down and placing his hands on his hips, he could only do nothing but grin. The day was rife with opportunity and he felt that this would be the perfect time for a little excitement. He waved Hideaki to walk over to where the men were standing, he prompted him to move post-haste by the vigorous gesture he made in his direction. Shusuke wanted to play a game with his squadmates and former partners.
Once the four men were together in a partial circle Shusuke would greet Hideaki on his return to the Seireitei and introduce his new subordinate to his former division partners.
”Well look at what Akuyaku threw in. Where did you end up running off to after I sent you to go help with the Rukongai incident? Hm...I suppose Sora should be the one asking those questions. Not my problem anymore hehehehehehehe…..Welcome back though Hideaki. You were missed.”
He took a look around and saw that everyone was in awe of the sight before them, Hideaki’s return, Shusuke and Jatiri visiting. It was a weirdly special day indeed at the Sixth division. He then continued.
”Seeing as how you two are before me for the first time in a long time...Let's play a game. My siblings and I used to play this without the use of our practice weapons…” he slowly removed En’enra from his obi sash and tossed both blades to a nearby Sixth member whom Shusuke trusted. Without hesitation or failure, the member caught both blades easily and secured them in his grip. ”There were five of us so I’d always be the odd one out cause I was the youngest, but we would simply just…” as quickly as one could blink, The winds shifted ever so slightly, almost lifting Shusuke’s foot swiftly from the ground, capturing a single step he reappears behind Sora with his hands lit with a lime green color placed down on the wrists of his aforementioned friend.
A small physical gesture nothing more, a single quick clasp causing his wrist to feel heavy and his reiryoku to begin t o halt its natural flow. Unlike any other binding spell, these shackles are strengthened by the user's sense of honor and justice, the stronger the ideals the more powerful the spell. Sora’s body would begin to feel as if hundreds of pounds dropped onto his shoulders and his arms were now tightly bound by a lime green link behind his back. Causing him to kneel and his reiryoku to freeze as if his body were hit with permafrost. The chances of him conjuring any reiryoku based technique to free himself was slim.

”Sora. You refer to her as Captain Yugure. Although she isnt’ your direct superior, the respect still is demanded. You know I don't mind if you let it slip with me every once in a while. But you gotta send the young bucks a certain message or the respect gets skewed.”
As Shusuke continued his quiet reminder, it took Sora a few moments to realize that he had slipped up and forgotten to correctly give the captain the respect she deserved, even simply calling her “Ms Yugure” would have been better, though still not exactly sufficient. Honestly it was just a slip up on Sora’s part and he knew or at least hoped that Shusuke knew that he had meant no disrespect, meeting his gaze and giving a subtle nod of affirmation to ensure that the Lieutenant’s words were heard and understood, no excuses given.
”Right Jatiri?”
Looking over Shusuke’s shoulder to see his colleague close by just as he spoke up to greet not just his Lieutenant, but to greet Sora as well. Sora simply responded with a mild but warm smile and a subtle bow of respect to the man, someone whom Shusuke seemed to hold plenty of respect for.
"Hello, hello Lieutenant. May I join you guys?"
Sora himself didn’t mind, looking towards Shusuke for his answer to the question before proceeding to move towards the entrance of 6th Divisions grounds, a trip that was only cut short as he noticed their long-lost comrade arriving on his own.
This was definitely Hideaki making his way towards them, sure he definitely looked different and even his reiatsu seemed different somehow, but it was still undoubtedly his reiatsu nonetheless. Truthfully Sora was excited and happy to have his old pal back, even if they didn’t know each other all too well in the past, now would be the time to correct the 100 years of missed time. Taking notice of the rattling sound at his hip, it seems that Sora wasn’t the only one who was excited for Hideaki’s return, as it seemed Setsudan could also sense the growth within the changed man. Looking down towards his Zanpakuto with his usual soft smile, Sora placed his hand on the scabbard in order to calm him down, speaking a few hushed words to Setsudan to calm him, before refocusing on the conversation that was going on around him.
”Soon, I promise”
”--ehehe…..Welcome back though Hideaki. You were missed.”

Sora kept his soft smile as he looked towards Hideaki, giving him a subtle bow to let him know that Shusuke wasn’t alone in that thought.
”Seeing as how you two are before me for the first time in a long time...Let's play a game. My siblings and I used to play this without the use of our practice weapon...”
Watching as Shuske relieved himself of his Zanpakuto, tossing the beautiful set of blades to one of the members of 6th for temporary safe keeping. It seemed they wouldn’t be needing their Zanpakuto for this game that the lieutenant was talking about, though Sora could tell that Setsudan didn’t like the idea of being separated for too long. Even so, Sora slowly followed suit of his old leader and begane removing his zanpakuto, but instead decided to place him in another member of 6ths hands while Shusuke continued.
“...There were five of us so I’d always be the odd one out cause I was the youngest, but we would simply just…”
At first it was difficult to understand exactly what game or perhaps training Shusuke was wanting to start up as a celebration of sorts for having the 3 of them back together in such a long time. But it wouldn’t be long before Sora found out exactly what he had been talking about, feeling the sudden shift in the wind behind him even as he turned to face the group again, quickly noticing the absence of a certain Lieutenant. It was then when he felt the presence behind him, acting on his training of dealing with criminals trying to blindside him when his back was turned. Sora had been faster than all the criminals he had faced before, but none of them could use Hoho. It was all Sora could do in his reaction to quickly swing around and blindly elbow Shusuke in what Sora thought would be the the side of the Lieutenants head or jaw. While the jab was meant to be quick and painful, it lacked any significant power due to Sora mostly reacting on instinct in the instance but still saw Shusuke as an ally and did not wish to really harm, despite knowing he could most certainly take a full blow with little fuss.
Because of this lack in power and still being caught off guard, Shusuke was still lucky enough, or perhaps simply skilled enough to successfully execute his Kido on hisnold subordinate, mostly. The arm that had elbowed Shusuke would have gotten free of his grip before he could secure it, but the other was performing no such maneuvers to free itself as the green light wrapped around it. When the effect of the kido took place, Sora felt that arm was supporting a few hundred pounds of rock, doing all he could to keep his arm from smashing to the ground and yanking him with it as he slowly struggled to lower himself, immediately pulling his free arm to support the tension in his shoulder. It had been a long time since Sora had seen this Kido in action, not since the incident with Enso, but this was the first time feeling it in action.
We’d simply just play Cops and Robbers.”
Sora looked up to Shusuke with a half smile half grimace at the idea, which made complete sense now that he put words to his actions, and Sora could only assume that Shusukes choice of target was no coincidence either, not after his previous comment about training and the lack of shown respect to his Captain some few minutes prior. Nonetheless this was a great idea, if Shusuke was willing to teach this Kido to Sora, Hideaki, and Jatiri, as well as the rest of those who spectated their game. This should be both fun, and well worth it. Assuming Sora could free himself from Shusukes kido which had seemed to halt the flow of reiryoku, making it virtually impossible to use his own Kido while the weight made it near impossible to move half his body. All Sora could do while adjusting to the scenario was let out a little chuckle and grit his teeth.
”Well played Lieutenant, well played.”

A few moments ago...
”Have you met Lt Shusuke before Hiroka? Do you think he is as scrawny as these members here? Actually, I have never been to many other squad barracks besides that nervous Captain of the 4th division. Captain Yo or something like that I think his name was, I can’t wait to fight him.”
”I have not been personally acquainted with him. Only seen him in passing. As for these dogs' physique... Most outside of the Eleventh are lacking... with the exception of some upper ranking members.”

The remark pertaining to the Fourth's Captain, Yū Nakamoto, he had no personal opinion on. Hiroka had not ever been within close proximity to them. In fact, he had rarely even been in the same place as someone of the same rank as Yū. The Eleventh had been lacking a Captain since before his transfer into the Divison, authority weighing solely upon Lieutenant Jinnosuke Uekū.
Hiroka's eyes rolled with a stray smirk at Shoumetsu's dismissal of his former remark, the selective hearing was strong. Most of the Burst Prince's effort was spent pulling himself back, he did not have it in him to do the same for his peer. It was evident from how he did not try to stop the Third Seat during his exchange with the Ninth members, but instead just spectated with an expression of silent judgment. The irony laid in the fact that his internal desires often lead to similar rough tendencies.
”If he doesn’t give us any answers then we will just get them to entertain us there. We will call it a training exercise to work in cooperation with other divisions. If they refuse, we can show them all 11th division hospitality.”
The tanned shinigami moved on, given an expected response by his friend but one that he may be welcome to... especially if the others fail to deliver on any information.
Present
Arriving in the barracks of the Sixth Division, Hiroka took the lead in an effort to decrease the odds of his companion attracting too much unneeded attention. The air held such a different energy to that of his own Division. It was lighter, less saturated with lingering Reiatsu, and lacked a sense of tension. Sixth members emanated an aura of discipline. Which made sense for the Division that it was. The upholding of rules was always necessary for any civilization but individuals with a stiff demeanor were often deadweight in situations that call for quick thinking, or at least that is how Hiroka felt.
Trailing through the streets he observed the steady pace of unseated shinigami shuffling about, attending to whatever duties they had. The pair's presence wasn't going to be acknowledged at all assuming they maintained an equal sense of order. Approaching someone who stood idly, Hiroka expressed an inquiry. Asking for any information on where their mark could be, all in an attempt to circumvent the need to actually track him down. Receiving the directions he needed, the young shinigami looked to the other of his squad, gifting him with a cocky look.
”See that's how you get information without raising alarms.”
A chuckle escaped from the male's maw, his own playful utterance amusing him even if it wouldn't for his peer. He was honestly relieved the information was easily acquired, preventing any aggression from... well... primarily himself. Pointing out the unruly tendencies of Shoumetsu and then immediately displaying hypocrisy would have been unfavorable.
Hiroka circled around where he stood, consuming the sights. The attitude of the shinigami was so alien, but still in a way intriguing. Spending so much time in combat-focused groups had left him blind to the functions that weren't of that variety. He grew a bit of a desire to wander around the other bases of operation to observe the souls that walked their streets. Even if he had any criticisms for their ways, knowledge acquisition brought power, something ever sought after by the falsely reserved reaper. Breaking from his brief scan, Hiroka looked to Shoumetsu, parting his lips to speak again.
"It's obvious that each Division has its own responsibilities and thus... their own types of people. But I can see why there has been tension between them for millennia. The differences, even from just standing here, are striking.”
The Burst Prince looked as if he was trying to hold something back for a moment, that was until he started laughing.
"At least we can put action behind our disagreements. Rather than silently resenting another party. You have a problem with me? Catch me out in the courtyard. It's that simple.”

Jatiri, observing his lieutenant, made it a point not to blink. If he were to, he would miss some of what his lieutenant had to say.
"Sora. You refer to her as Captain Yugure. Although she isn't your direct superior, the respect still is demanded. You know I don't mind if you let it slip with me every once in a while. But you gotta send the young bucks a certain message or the respect gets skewed."
The lieutenant stated his expectation. He didn't look to disrespect or offend Sora, but correcting Sora was necessary to him. Whether he did it more out of respect for captain Yugure than the chain of command was inconsequential. In the end, his expectation was clear, easy to understand.
"Right Jatiri?"
Jatiri nodded. There was nothing but quickness in his nod, which expressed how he felt on the subject. He agreed with his lieutenant and wanted him to know that he did. A belief of his was a key to breeding a strong militia was respect. Without it, especially for the chain of command, all sorts of issues could arise. Some might slack off on their duties, while others might be treacherous, something Shusuke wasn't, not by a long shot.
He was of the few Jatiri felt he could trust. Although Jatiri wasn't usually the trusting type, he, one with few words, could confide in Shusuke. When seeing Shusuke, Jatiri saw someone loyal, dependable, fair, and wise. For these reasons but not these reasons alone, he didn't mind following Shusuke's example.
Jatiri, turning his head, recalled an idea he had formed on the way to the Sixth. He and Shusuke had been conversing about what Shusuke had planned to accomplish there today when Jatiri had got the idea that Shusuke reminded him of someone who grew up with him. He was thinking about who it was.
His gaze landed on Sora, who was nodding. That he had made an honest mistake was concluded by Jatiri and probably Shusuke as well.
After having inserted himself into the reunion of the two, Jatiri felt Shusuke's hand on his head. His eyes widening, he retracted his head without thought. He had spent much time alone over the years, so certain friendly gestures he had once recognized seemed a bit foreign now, but after processing why Shusuke's gesture had occurred, he half-smiled.
Shusuke, having seen an image of Hideaki on Sora's Denreishinki X, appeared pleased. Soon, he was waving Hideaki down. "Is this their old friend?", Jatiri wondered. He had his answer when the time to greet the man with many tattoos came.
"Well look at what Akuyaku threw in. Where did you end up running off to after I sent you to go help with the Rukongai incident? Hm...I suppose Sora should be the one asking those questions. Not my problem anymore hehehehehehehe…..Welcome back though Hideaki. You were missed.”
Jatiri, like Sora, bowed.
"Seeing as how you two are before me for the first time in a long time...Let's play a game. My siblings and I used to play this without the use of our practice weapons…”
Jatiri was curious about the game. While he was reluctant to relinquish his Zanpakuto, like Shusuke and Sora, he did it anyway, placing them in the hands of whoever from the Sixth was closest, for he had faith they would return to him. Perhaps this faith came from his trust in his lieutenant, which seemed to have extended to one from the Sixth, or his confidence in the fact he could take his weapons back by force.
"There were five of us so I’d always be the odd one out cause I was the youngest, but we would simply just…”
Shusuke was away, and then he wasn't. He, lime green coming from his hands, was behind Sora, taking hold of his wrists. Sora was struggling, but would he manage to save a wrist from Shusuke's lime green spell? Regardless if he would or not, Shusuke got ahold of one of his wrists. The entire arm of it supported what felt like hundreds of pounds, which caused Sora to struggle further.
"We’d simply just play Cops and Robbers.”
"Well played Lieutenant, well played.”

Shusuke seizing Sora displayed just how effective his spell could be. In addition to weighing down on Sora, it was inhibiting his flow of reiryoku. Jatiri gathering this much was interested in the Kido. As it worked its magic, he found it more and more appealing.
Aside from the Kido, he was thinking about the game, how simple it seemed. It entailed, based on Shusuke's actions, cops, who in this case had to be Shusuke since, of the four, he was the only one who could conjure up the shackle-like spell, caught escaping robbers. The three had to avoid him.
Of them, Jatiri did the opposite of that. He felt that he should aid Sora, that the robbers would be more difficult to apprehend if they worked together. His body accelerating, firm open palm journeying, he materialized behind Shusuke busy with a struggling Sora, which was perfect for Jatiri, whose target was Shusuke's mid-back. Jatiri's palm surging, winds encasing it, he mitigated it by slightly pulling back on it, slowing it down. He only sought to shock Shusuke's system, to disturb his ability to maintain the spell. Did Shusuke need both hands to bind Sora up? Probably not, which was why Jatiri watched for any sudden alterations in Shusuke's position. He didn't want to end up shackled as well.

It wasn’t long until Hideaki had found himself back at ‘home’, the 6th division barracks. Outside waiting for him were Shusuke, Sora and Jatiri. Hideaki was given a rather warm welcome back by Shusuke, ”Well look at what Akuyaku threw in. Where did you end up running off to after I sent you to go help with the Rukongai incident? Hm...I suppose Sora should be the one asking those questions. Not my problem anymore hehehehehehehe…..Welcome back though Hideaki. You were missed.”. Sora and Jatiri bowed their heads before Hideaki’s arrival.
Shusuke suggested they all play a game, this was after he had moved right behind Sora and then binded his arm with a special kido of his own making, ”There were five of us so I’d always be the odd one out cause I was the youngest, but we would simply just… ”We’d simply just play Cops and Robbers.”, having removed his zanpakuto and thrown it toward a member of the 6th division for safe keeping. Hideaki hadn’t said much of anything since his arrival, however Shusuke’s recommendation of a ‘game’ had a very clear motive for training. To Hideaki this was an opportunity to see how much he had evolved in the last 100 years. Though, imagine that the role of ‘ROBBER’ already suits Hideaki best as he turned up from being MIA, in a torn apart shihakusho, topless and barefoot. Hideaki may have lost a lot 100 years prior to his return, but his pride was not one of them; the man placed his zanpakuto, Amakaze against the wall just to the side of the entrance to 6th.
Jatiri on the other hand took his role seriously and already made a move toward Shusuke from behind, now whether the man’s punch would hit Shusuke was a different matter, Hideaki knew Shusuke, to him he was a friend and mentor. Ultimately, was Hideaki still a loyal Shinigami? And would he help his comrades if the time was ripe? The answer to those previous questions lie directly in what Hideaki did in the next few minutes. Hideaki’s left hand raised, index and middle fingers pointed directly toward Shusuke, he spoke the words, ’’Bakudo #61, Rikujokoro..’’ shooting six beams of light directly toward Shusuke’s midsection, attempting to bind the man exactly where he stood. Hideaki didn’t put much of his power into the kido spell and had released it without an incantation. However, something as weak as that had no intention of holding Shusuke down, or that it would work. It was merely a distraction, Hideaki had vanished from sight and appeared right above Sora. It seemed that Hideaki’s shunpo improved exponentially.
The very same hand that released the kido spell, Hideaki moved it between Shusuke’s hand and Sora’s bound arm, letting his reiatsu flow, a little swirling tornado formed around Hideaki’s left hand and forced its way into Shusuke’s binding spell, the purpose? To disrupt the flow of reiatsu from the kido spell to Sora which was binding him to the man’s arm. This answered the two previous questions.. Hideaki would defend and protect his comrades, be it good or evil, his pride was probably the only thing that this man had going for him.
