The “Tenth Division” styled introduction seemed to be peaking. Living up to its name, the spar was something Gorou had never imagined to experience on his first taste of being a Shinigami. Each second felt like minutes, each minute felt like days, and he dared to envision maintaining this intensity for an hour. No more than ten minutes had passed, yet the destruction was equivalent to everything he had witnessed in the academy. The elegant common area they stood in had turned into mere rubble; a field of chaos conjured without any endeavor. The earth cut by kido wore its battle scars proudly, a true testament of the Tenth Division’s strength. Ironically, black feathers beautifully drifted in the distance. Their elegance attempted to mask the havoc that was being produced around them.
Izanagi’s relentless demonic rampage felt uncontainable. His words felt of a different tongue, raving on as if he were possessed by an entity. He attacked with malice. Gorou was certain Shizuka would leave injured, if not dead, given Izanagi was able to land his strike. His blade severed the air as it approached Shizuka, slicing any feather it came in contact with into pieces. There was no hesitation present, no reconsideration, not an ounce of realization as Izanagi prepared to strike one of his own. Shizuka did not falter. The last vestiges of fear seemed to be overtook by a sense of responsibility. He was able to block what he could of Izanagi’s onslaught, but was treated as nothing more than a feather and launched into the distance. There was more to Shizuka’s counter, for that a surge of electricity illuminated the area. It was very quick, seemingly instantaneous. Gorou’s ears were filled with Shizuka’s words, even with the distance between them it was as if Shizuka whispered the Hado’s name to him.
“Tsuzuri Raiden”
Gorou was well familiar with the hado, he was able to perform it himself. He was impressed with Shizukas ability to quickly execute the spell with that much power; it was far beyond Gorou’s capabilities. Even with the magnitude in strength of the hado, Izanagi was only subdued for mere seconds. His spiritual power was far beyond being able to be hindered by the likes of lower level kido spells. Gorou began to grow wary in if his Byakurai would even have enough power to pierce Izanagi’s skin. If Shizuka’s kido was deemed ineffective, then why would his lower leveled-partially charged Byakurai stand a chance.
Skeptical in his initial plan Gorou prepared to strike again. He felt advantageous in his environment and intended on utilizing his element of surprise. He readied himself to delve back into the spiritual grasp Izanagi held. As the Byakurai neared Izanagi there was a sudden shift in energy. There was an instant addition of another spiritual pressure. It was one that Gorou had encountered before. He quickly pondered, his feathers had covered the entire surrounding area. He should have felt an approaching presence far before it got this close, regardless if they utilized shunpo. Before he could even turn his head to identify the spiritual presence a sudden cascade of wind violently rushes throughout the courtyard. Yōjinbukai’s feathers begin to swarm around the current. The spiritual presence, bound to come in contact with such feathers, rushed like a bull in sight of something. Feather after feather, Gorou was able to trace the the power and it seemed to be going towards Izanagi.
“Ryuga?”
Gorou began to remember seeing Ryuga’s odd Shikai ability. He recalls seeing him make some form of portal and using it as transportation. Gorou was certain that’s how he was able to get into the courtyard undetected by Yōjinbukai’s feathers. Ryuga stormed in and pushed Izanagi out of the byakurai’s path. Gorou was amazed in Ryuga’s timing; he didn’t know if Ryuga had been monitoring the fight, or if he intervened by chance. Either way he stopped a possible attempt in subduing Izanagi. Ryuga did show substantial strength with being able to pin Izanagi to a near by wall. Instinctively, Gorou saw this as an opportunity to strike Izanagi while he was being detained.
Almost instantly after Ryuga joined the fray and successfully had Izanagi cornered, the demonic spiritual pressure that once engulfed the area dispersed. The same spiritual pressure that instilled fear into Gorou like no other quickly faded from existence. It almost felt disrespectful, as if it meant nothing. Gorou strayed from revealing himself just yet, still trying to decipher what exactly was going on. He began to hear Izanagi speak, but it was in the manner that he was originally speaking in. It was as if his personality had resurfaced, but Gorou wasn’t sure if it was all an act.
"I remember you. And why the hell you got me pinned against the wall? And why does my chest hurt and back hurt? What the hell you do?"
Izanagi’s seemed to have no recollection of anything that happened. Gorou had no idea of what just took place, but he assumed that Izanagi had the ability to achieve a second form that he had no control over. For now he seemed to be in a stable state of mind. Gorou allowed his feathers to slowly disintegrate into reiatsu. The black glow in his pupil regressed into their original state. He shunpo’d into the sight of everyone, sheathing his sword. He says not a word, but glances at the surrounding area thinking of what his captain will say when he returns to his quarters. He assumed the introduction was over, there was nothing left they all needed to say to each other. After what had seemed to be a very long morning, he began to leave the courtyard hoping to finally get some rest

The current situation was beginning to spiral out of Shizuka's control. He had feared a destructive battle among recruits, but not to the level seen before them now. Shizuka was seen running desperately, hopeless to stop the incoming Byakurai that was going to pierce Izanagi, due to him being launched by the 6th Seat's powerful attack.
But suddenly...

SWOOSH

Before Shizuka's eyes, the fabric of space ripped apart and a black portal amassed. Causing a smirk to appear on the 3rd Seat's face, because of his familiarity with the ability. Out of the portal, Ryuga, instantly moved from it with incredible timing and tackled Izanagi out of harm's way. Pinning him to a wall, seemingly on accident due to the strength and momentum he came in with. Shizuka stopped running momentarily and stared at the two with slight relief, but then instantly remembered Izanagi was not in a normal state and continued rushing towards the two. Shizuka knew from the speed of Ryuga's entry he was going to lock down Izanagi movements. Shizuka sheathed his Zanpakuto and prepared himself to double the physical reinforcement, but as he neared upon the two, the menacing reiatsu dissipated from Izanagi. Simultaneously as this happened, Gorou's feathers stopped falling from the sky, and they began to dissipate as well one by one. It was now clear to everyone where Gorou resided amongst the turmoil, if they were actively sensing. Shizuka inched closer to Izanagi, as the ruffian was clamped with a tight grip by Ryuga. His face seemed confused, befuddled by the current situation he was in.
"I remember you. And why the hell you got me pinned against the wall? And why does my chest hurt and back hurt? What the hell you do?"
"What the..."

It seemed as if Izanagi did not remember a single thing that transpired this whole session. Shizuka looked at the individual with an extremely confused look, as he just did not know what to say or do in the situation. It was clear to the witnesses of his power that, Izanagi was a dangerous being. Captain Kagayaki, was extremely wary of his power, and all of the concerns completely came out today with this spar. Shizuka understood Higen's message more than ever now, while living in the Soul Society anything may happen to where our strongest can't fight. Tenth Division, no, The Soul Society needed soldiers like Izanagi. An individual with boundless strength and power, who if had control over his power would be an unstoppable force. At the end of the day, it was up to Shizuka to mentor him on how to control that power, and further unlock his strength's as a Shinigami as well. After everything, he was just glad that the session was over now, and that everyone was safe in the end.
Now that the dust was seemingly settled, and things were looking normal again, Shizuka began to feel subtle vibrations from his pocket. His leg was partially numbed, as if the vibrating was happening for the longest
zzzzz..........zzzzzzzz......zzzzzzz
Shizuka glanced down onto himself to investigate, instantly knowing what was causing this feeling. The Denreishinki he had tucked into his person in the Captain's office was vibrating relentlessly. Being so careless from his encounter with Izanagi, Shizuka had completely forgot about the tasks he has set upon squads in the World of the Living. Shizuka had prompted the team to respond back to him expeditiously upon danger. He was getting the feeling that this might be the case. The 3rd Seat quickly reached down into his garments to retrieve the device, immediately pulling it out and scanning through the home screen notifications. He swiped down relentlessly, filtering casual Division group chat conversations, to his secret Quincy friend, to the squad he deployed. One of the messages stood out significantly though, coated in red and it was flashing..... directly from Kuro Yakimono.
Kuro had many other normal means to ask for help from Division members amongst them, but Shizuka specifically requested from Kuro after the Bount incident, that if he was in need of immediate help, specifically from Shizuka himself, to use that personal emergency line. As uncanny as it sounds, aside from Higen, not only has Kuro not developed a relationship with any of the seated members within the division. Shizuka actively contacts the young man, whether he is inquiring about his work, or just catching up. From the tone and respect of his replies, Kuro undoubtedly has unwavering faith in Shizuka's strength, which for someone as prideful as Kuro, it means something. All the while, making the message he sent even more alarming than normal. Shizuka immediately pocketed the device, and stared in the direction of the two men standing before him. His face carried a different level of seriousness, and he struck a cold gaze that could immediately grab a hold of their attention. He looked at an injured Izanagi, body worn out from the previous spar, and Ryuga, 5th Seated Member who had just arrived.
Elisha-close-up.png

"Our agent Yakimono-san is in danger in Naruki City, I'm mobilizing immediately."
His voice carrying the weight of importance of the task. There was no further explanation needed to be told to his subordinates, the only question left for himself was, who was he going to bring? As strong as Shizuka thought of himself, he still was no Captain. He relied on the strength of others to enhance his abilities in combat, and for an unprecedented threat it was no different. Shizuka was known combat wise, to be a quick thinker, and that boosted his ability to make out of combat decisions just the same. He thought about each of his active men one by one, for no longer than a second. Izanagi was immediately erased from out of considerations, not even for his injuries, but solely for the fact that his power was not consistent in any way shape or form. Gorou Nagatamo, a refined soul, whose skills with his Shikai shown earlier was beyond exceptional. His only problem was the fact that he was new, it would not even be right to throw a young recruit into the fires of true combat on his inception. Then there was Ryuga, who was of course, Shizuka's top candidate for more reasons than one, had other small issues that Shizuka had noticed. The bleeding, that he exhibited all the way from the Captain's meeting, was still hindering him specifically on his right arm and legs. Though not leaking, the wounds were in the process of healing, enough to where his stench of old blood and cigars was magnified, Shizuka could obviously tell he was not in his top form. After this quick analysis, Shizuka took a quick breath and spoke. Loud enough to where the retreating Gorou, could hear
"Gorou, come with me we're mobilizing immediately. Ryuga take Izanagi to your room to heal. I already know you're not at 100%, but I'm not going to restrict you from coming on your own will. It's an unprecedented threat, be prepared for the worst... "
Regardless whether his words were heeded or not, he took a quick glance at Gorou's location, and immediately bled into a shunpo. Going directly to the division's personal Senkaimon near their division barracks. Hoping Gorou was following his lead as he vanished, as he still had not received a proper tour. Upon landing near the Senkaimon, he was greeted by the guards stationed there. He bowed his head momentarily and requested from them travel for 3 individuals.
"The 3rd is not with us yet, but keep the gate open for his eventual arrival"
The guards stared at each other awkwardly upon his request.
"Sorry Hyouzoku-san, we did not receive any orders for traveling from Lieutenant Kasumi, on top of that-
image0.png

"It's urgent. Let us go"
Shizuka's reiatsu flared to his upmost limit for his sealed form. The weight and depth of his reiatsu was almost tripled of what he showed in the courtyard. He never resorted to using such tactics, due to the sheer amount of reiryoku he possesses even as a Third Seat, but the matter was too urgent. The guards upon feeling the exertion of his reiatsu, were crippled down to their knees, defenseless at the sheer force he presented. He stared at them with the coldest glare he could possibly muster, all to provide his message of the seriousness on the matter. Upon seeing them fall to his will, he immediately ceased his exertion.
"Time is of the essence, please let us through"
With a shrill of fear in their voices, they exclaimed....
"No problem Sir!"
Shizuka waited while the guards were applying a Gentei Rein symbol on him for his travels again. Gorou not being a 3rd Seat of higher officer was exempt from this ritual, with the strength he displayed earlier he would easily be the strongest there on entry. All the while in the back of his head, had hoped he was not too late to save Naruki....

Ryuga holds Izanagi up against the wall and looks at the young man with concern in his eyes behind the sunglasses. Even though Izanagi's sword was coming fast diagonally towards his neck Ryuga did not move away almost like the man was ready to face death. But before the sword could reach its target, it stopped and the pure killing intention was gone like it never had been there.
"I remember you. And why the hell did you get me pinned against the wall? And why does my chest hurt and back hurt? What the hell you do?"
All focus was on Izanagi and this made Ryuga not think of Shizuka and Gorou who are also there with them. But once the young shinigami proved that he was '' back '' to normal, Ryuga could breathe out calmly again. And when the dust from their impact against the wall disappeared completely, he slowly lowered the arm and allowed Izanagi to stand on his feet.
Time seemed to stop when Ryuga looked down at him, but this feeling did not last long enough to suddenly hear Shizuka's voice behind him.
Ryuga-Divider.png

"Our agent Yakimono-san is in danger in Naruki City, I'm mobilizing immediately."
Surprised at the words Shizuka said, Ryuga turned his head and looked back at him. A sense of anger could be felt from Ryuga while a faint aura could be seen around him. This anger was created because one of their members was in danger and he wanted to go there as soon as possible, then again Shizuka continued talking out towards the men in the room.
"Gorou, come with me we're mobilizing immediately. Ryuga takes Izanagi to your room to heal. I already know you're not at 100%, but I'm not going to restrict you from coming on your own will. It's an unprecedented threat, be prepared for the worst... "
Ryuga-Divider.png

Shortly after the words were said, Shizuka disappeared from his sight and Ryuga looked again at Izanagi and drew a deep sigh. With a quick movement with his left arm, he again used the shikai special ability ''Blinking Passage ( 点滅通路, "Tenmetsu Tsūro"; "Flashing Passage").'' right next to himself. And this tear opens a direct path to his room where he saw everything from.
``I'm glad to see you again Izanagi after all these years and you chose to become a shinigami after all too. But you still have a lot to learn and I will not ask about what happened during the training.I have to leave as you understand to follow Shizuka and Gorou but I have one thing that you must do while we are gone.’’
Ryuga who is still holding Izanagi with his arm walks with him back to the room before he drops him on the floor. Then Ryuga continues forward toward one of the walls of the room that he leans his back on.
``Welcome to my room! ignore the mess and the smell and you will get used to it. I noticed you didn't activate your shikai and in my eyes there are two reasons why you didn't do it. One you thought you could win without using your shikai or two you have not learned to communicate with your Zanpakutō. I'm pretty sure the answer is number two and for that I will teach you Jinzen (刃禅, Sword Meditation; Viz "Sword Zen") so that you can carry on a proper conversation with your Zanpakutō.´´
Ryuga barely gives Izanagi time to answer because he is stressed and continues to talk all the time as the portal they came through closes.
``First you have to take a meditative pose and place your Zanpakutō over the lap, easy right? Now for the hard part you have to have a calm mind and force your mind to become one with the Zanpakutō.I can't explain it any easier for you unfortunately and we two will keep talking when I come back Izanagi.´´
Again Ryuga uses his shikai to make a tear in space that leads directly to the division's personal Senkaimon and walk towards it.

Steps away from freedom, Gorou was halted by his commanding officer. He wanted to ignore Shizuka’s words, but he could hear the severity in his tone. He was hesitant to any instruction after taking part in Shizuka’s “Introduction”, though the energy Shizuka exuded felt demanding. What could possibly be more severe than the situation they had just handled. Gorou’s patient thinned—He turned—Visibly irked he meets Shizuka’s eyes in a battle of authority. Shizuka was more tense then Gorou initially thought.
Shizuka fled the area with an immediate shunpo. He was traceable; Gorou had no problem picking up his location. A feeling of disobedience surged through Gorou’s body. He did want to include himself in yet another activity. His day felt endless... he had fought, and even used his Shikai. Being honest with himself he knew his body was fatigued, but Gorou refrained himself from being rebellious. He trialed Shizuka’s presence, meeting him in a room that contained nothing but a doorway. Shizuka towered over three men who appeared to be guarding the gate. The demanding reiatsu that Gorou sensed early was even stronger. He approached behind Shizuka; he watched as the men kneeled in submission to Shizuka’s will. Gorou observed the situation in silence. He asked no questions on the purpose of this sudden course of action. The men stood with a purpose, quickly heading towards the two. Gorou watched as the men performed some for of procedure—causing an insignia that resembled the tenth division’s emblem to appear on Shizuka’s chest.
“What’s going on?”

After getting his Gentei Rein symbol applied Shizuka was ready. The looming threat on his mind worried him slightly. What if everyone is dead by now? Was I too late? Even if I'm there will we be able to handle the threat? …….I really don't want to use Bankai.
His Bankai was not something he was fond of at all. Even after training these past few months, he still neglected his second release. The pain upon it's activation led him to falter too many times, it's power so wild and vicious that he is only able to maintain the form for a maximum of ten seconds.
"If the fight ever reaches that point I'm preparing myself for death."
Shizuka grimaced at the thought, the life he was living as a Shinigami was an annoying and dutiful life. But he had to live in order to preserve this life, and to keep his relationship with the friends and allies he made along the way. Shizuka began to walk towards the gate, but suddenly a deep voice rang in his ear, and it was all too familiar to him.
0b46c4eeecc389c178d3a2d5b13931d5.png

"Wonder what that says about a Shinigami who dies using his own Zanpakuto's power?
"Are they not trained well?
"Do they lack conviction"
"Or can they just not handle the power, bestowed upon them"

Shizuka heard the malevolent voice of his Zanpakuto in his mind, mimicking the thought process of Shizuka before. Hirameku-Hitcouchi, at least in Shizuka's perspective, always hated him. The spirit always bragged to Shizuka of his tremendous power, and when prompted to allow him to access the power, the spirit scoffs at the notion.
"if you have nothing useful to provide, just be quiet"
"Okay Shi..zu…. ka"

Slowing down his dialect to give the impression that Shizuka is dumb
"From back then, when I was bestowed upon you... I do not remember you being able to use Raimei Yoshiki, or Saigai from the beginning. You grew into those abilities, unlocking a new vestige of my power, using my first release as you willed it."
"How can I train a release that I can only use for SECONDS?"
"Maybe you are the wrong wielder"

There was a complete silence to his response. Shizuka was used to harsh words coming from his Zanpakuto, he simply ignored them to keep his head straight. He readjusted his focus to saving Naruki City, and he walked through the Senkaimon ready to do so.
