Rukongai ———————————— traveling from ———————————— Southwest
The two dunces behind her were enjoying their little private time as the three of them stepped into the Western region of the Rukongai. Junrinan, the first district, was clean, and lively, after those long five months since the Kokōtsu. While reconstruction of the fallen district prior to it’s destruction, residents were moved into the surrounding districts, and so few managed to weasel their way into a new world that was Junrinan. Well better off than the rest of the districts, Junrinan, or any of the first districts of the other regions, could be described as utopias where the blessed souls end up.
It was here that Rui came to discover one of her most favorite spots for food and drink. On patrol at the order of her commander, Rui and a few others were dispatched to the Western Districts. It was peaceful, and quite uneventful more often than not, which often left Akarui feeling conflicted. Of course, she wanted to perform her duty, but the urge for action was always itching at the back of her neck. Upon one of her many strolls down the main road, Rui was called to help an elderly couple that ran a small bistro compared to the many stalls and other eccentrics. Inviting her in, despite Rui’s many disapprovals, they managed to reign her in and sit her down for a meal.
The atmosphere was warm; the food was comforting. It was a sad thing to say, but Rui couldn’t remember the last time she had a meal like that… So with every patrol, she would find herself on, Rui always made time to come to the nameless bistro for a home-cooked meal that brought out a characteristic unlike the usually vicious guard dog of the First.
“Here.”
She slid the door open and stepped inside, immediately met with the savory smell of tonkatsu.
“Shinomiya-san. I’ve come with guests.”
“Ah, Ruirui-chan, this is your first time. Come in, come in, I’ll take care of you.”

Southwest ———————————— traveling to ———————————— Rukongai
The walk to the Rukongai was uneventful. Passing by nearby civilians in the more higher end of the outer Soul Society, Shusuke felt the posh air of the #1 district. His duties never always finding himself on this side of town, it would be one of the first few times aside from business with his Kiyoshi family. He followed closely to Kiku as Akarui kept a certain pace ahead of the two males. It looked like she was trying to find the correct place to date her stomach, And with good reason. The restaurants and boutiques were worlds better than the ones in the district's lower than 41st. It was soon he who felt out of place although his status was far from such ridicule. He also noticed some small construction still taking place after the events of the Kotostu incident. Tearing down a large portion of the Junrinan. In turn, it did allow for some of the lower district' inhabitants to migrate and make a new home on the nicer side of the Rukongai. That made Shu happy, everyone who lived in the Soul Society should be safe and be able to live where they please.
He looked to Kiku and tried to get a visual image of what he would look like underneath the mask, aloof entirely in appearance, but hiding fearsome skills unseen to many as he is a master of Kido as Shusuke brutally found out. The members of first were certainly gifted, spurring him to up his own skill set himself. Watching Akarui head into a small bistro, her small frame passed through the cloth that hung from the entrance way, just barely grazing her head. He saw the shopkeepers greet her with fervor, she had obviously been here before and had held the place in high regard. Motioning to Kiku that they should both catch up or else be at the risk of potentially paying for a larger than life meal. He stepped into the restaurant and was greeted by a blast of immaculate smelling food. Almost immediately inhaling and exhaling as if he were taking his last breath…
Grooooooaaaaaaannnnn….
His stomach reminded him that they both require nourishment. Taking his place at a table, not waiting for anyone to sit down he begins to scan the menu. Already seeing many dishes that he enjoys, Shusuke goes on to order as many BBQ short ribs, crab sashimi, and had instructed the servers to keep the bowls of rice endless, and flashed his wallet. Knowing the other two probably had large appetites themselves he had no issue paying for a portion of the meal. It was the least he could do for kindness.
”Thanks for inviting me out...I appreciate this.”
As he continued scanning the menu for more pleasant dishes, out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a young man, a child. Unassuming, looks around the same age as another whom he would’ve known had things been more fortunate. He seemed familiar, sharing Shusuke’s straight style hair but he had dark brown hair as opposed to black. They sat relatively close to the entrance and he was working the prep corner in the kitchen, cutting things into a bowl with ever so blatant speed and efficiency. His work with the knife was so clean and precise it allowed him to slice leeks in halves, cut them a second way then dice and sweep the minced vegetable into a silver bowl next to him and repeated the cycle. Taking Shu’s attention away from the table it would take a sudden amount of alert to snap him from the gaze of this familiar child.

Exiled Gods
Northern Rukongai, in the first district, there sits a manor with massive walls that would rival a castle. These walls are not ordinary they are comprised of Sekkiseki but it is not to protect it from outside threats but to contain what is within these walls of this massive manor. If the Seireitei was a planet this manor would be its moon. A messenger arrives the same one that was spoken to by Tenzen Oda earlier and he has a message to give. He approaches one of the guards, this guard does not wear the standard Shinigami attire but instead is dressed in traditional samurai armor, albeit black and white in color. On the chest plate of this armor, there is a lotus flower a family crest for the owner of this castle-like manor, the Oda. The messenger approaches the guard who watches him cautiously, the second guard who stands at the other side of the gate pushes his thumb against the handguard of his blade, unsheathing it ever so slightly. A Cicada chirps loudly on a nearby tree almost as if it were watching these events unfold. These guards are ready for a fight even against this unarmed messenger. The hostility in the air is thick, the messenger loses his composure for a moment and swallows the building saliva in his mouth as he forces the message out.
"I have a message from Captain of Division Five, Tenzen Oda. He says, ''I'm overturning the old man's decision. I want you to train Katsuo properly and please don't kill him.' This message is to be given to a Yurui Oda. That's all!"
The messenger bows his head, the hostility still looming over him and these two guards say nothing. They continue to watch him and after a few minutes have passed he raises his head and looks at them both wondering why they haven't said anything to him yet. His heart races and pounds so loud he can feel it in his head even his breathing has ramped up, his senses tell him that these two men are going to attack and kill him if he doesn't leave quick but he has a job to do, he must at least see that through to the end. The Cicada from before flutters its wings and flies off.
"The message was-"
"The message has already been passed on! Leave!"

The messenger didn't think twice about what was yelled at him as he quickly vanished from sight, the two guards returning to an "at ease" state once more. The messenger could only think about how he'll never deliver another message to the Oda Manor for as long as he lives. Within the walls, there is a vast and open courtyard with tiled floors, much like the ones found within the Seireitei. The tiles seemed to be in perfect condition as if they were just recently replaced or repaired. Across this open courtyard sits the Oda Manor multiple two-story buildings are scattered around all with the same traditional Japanese theme. The first thing that is noticed about the buildings is that they are all similar, there exists no individuality between them, an almost militaristic aesthetic to them to be exact. Among the first line of buildings another guard, this one dressed in lighter attire than those stationed outside, kneels before a shōji and announces himself. There are sounds of a solid object being struck repeatedly, whatever it was it sounded heavy.
"Yurui-Sama! I have a message from the head of the clan, Tenzen-Sama!"
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP

This continues for a bit until a deep booming voice calls out to the guard.
"ENTER!"
The guard shutters and opens the shōji to enter, closing it behind him. He kneels once more looking straight towards the ground the entire time. The room was dark save for a few beams of light that pierced this darkness via the shōji. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. That heavy-hitting sound echoes once again making the guard wince each time this unknown object is struck.
"WELL!? WHAT WAS THE MESSAGE!?"
The guard flinches as if the words reaching him were a fist about to strike him. He shakes it off and recollects himself.
"Tenzen-Sama said that he is overturning the old man's decision and he wants you to train Katsuo properly!"
A growl of approval is heard, this growl only serves to scare the man further.
"INTERESTING! VERY WELL! YOU ARE DISMISSED!"
The guard turns to leave, he was glad to get going but he realizes he forgot part of the message and stops to deliver it.
"Ah, I forgot that he also said-"
"I SAID DISMISSED!!"

Yurui turns and stomps his foot, the guard is instantly crushed by an outburst of his Reiatsu. Heavy footsteps pace over towards the downed guard, his limp body is lifted off the ground and thrown through a wall. Light illuminates part of Yurui's body, part of his abdomen and the arm that threw the poor helpless guard. That arm and abdomen were covered with scars and both were equally massive in terms of muscle mass. This is the very same man Tenzen recalled in his memories two months back that kicked him in his gut when asked why do they fight. The light also illuminates what can only be assumed to be his training room. That object he was striking repeatedly was a massive tree trunk one that has holes, gouges and fist-shaped indentations in it. More guards rush over to their downed comrade, check his pulse and order to have him taken to the medical bay. They then begin immediate repairs on the broken wall as Yurui turns and vanishes into the shadows of this room to ready himself for Katsuo's eventual arrival.

Walking and joking with the male from sixth division, Kiku would slowly realize they were passing through the Rukongai District. Rui seemed like she had something bothering her, but Kiku didn't press the issue. Instead he casually chatted with Shusuke until they found themselves nearing Akarui's favorite place.
“Here.” rui said as they started to walk inside, Sliding the door open and stepping inside, immediately met with the savory smell of tonkatsu.
“Shinomiya-san. I’ve come with guests.” Rui says as they all enter.
“Ah, Ruirui-chan, this is your first time. Come in, come in, I’ll take care of you."
Shusuke would shuffle inside and then thank them for inviting him; ”Thanks for inviting me out...I appreciate this.” He says still shuffling his feet around. Kiku would smile even though it only looks like he closes his eyes and nods at Shusuke. " Anytime guy. " He would then wait to follow Rui to their seats and start to think about his order of food, it was going to be a lot.
