She was aware of the fact that her attempts to mask her volatile emotions were failing. While she herself had not allowed for her stature to falter, she was nearing the brink of a breakdown. Every time that she came close to falling over the edge, her composure seemed to recoup. How she was doing this had yet to be explained. The Lieutenant was not aware of this herself, either. All that ran through her mind was each piece of evidence within the scene she viewed that continued to replay. For some reason, she felt as if she had not pieced a vital clue together. Perhaps this was the truth, but the more likely story is that there was little to piece together given what they had to work with. Something was not right and it frustrated her to think that her deductive skills were potentially not adequate enough to handle the situation. Given that she hadn't had a moment to decompress and process such a serious event, she was not able to decipher the venue that lingered within her head. Despite this, she remained alert — perhaps at the highest level she had ever been in her life.
Aside from Itsuki's death from an emotional perspective, the reason for such drawn-out procedures and alarm stemmed from the fact that a Captain's death was not something that happened often. Even with Maho Kojima, many were surprised. The biggest difference between how the two had succumbed to death was apparent. Maho's delusions of grandeur caused him to become far too arrogant and this clouded his judgment. His fate had been sealed when he crossed one of the strongest members of the First Division - Akarui. Unlike that incident, Captain Asakura's killer was unknown. This was not a warranted murder, however, if this were even the case, no soul within the Rukongai could come up with an explanation that would satisfy the Seireitei. People died all of the time in the unending number of districts. Life held little value outside of nobility when it was not within the walls of the Soul Society. Her suspicion was that someone who wielded the power of a Shinigami had likely killed her Captain. Other possibilities were not ruled out, but this conclusion made the most sense. No Arrancar nor other species had come across her keen sensory. Yes, perhaps they were suppressing their spiritual energy, but this could only be done for so long. Would this being also not raise suspicion within whatever district they resided in? Many questions were still left unanswered and the best she could do was hypothesize various scenarios.
After her words, her eyes did not move from the Lieutenant of the Ninth. Instead, they stuck to him, assessing every action—every twitch, every expression. If he was going to deny her entry, she would know before he could vocalize it. In this case, she would have had to release her energy once more, which would have inevitably led to her fighting both Shusuke and Zen'no. This was not something she was opposed to, nor did she believe herself to be alone. With Signy by her side, she was sure that the battle would, in fact, be in their favor. There was no arrogance intended in this thought, no, none at all. What she knew was that she was willing to do anything to get answers—something she was sure that the two from the Ninth did not know. Thankfully, they would not have to witness the full extent of her determination. As the giant reaches to grab Shusuke's attention, she sees an opening that she does not take. In the quickest of moments, she could have taken them both off guard and potentially grant herself access to the Seireitei. Like many thoughts today, this, too, is fleeting. The Matriarch does not act, electing to watch them closely. It was wise of them to turn away from her because she would read their lips without a second thought.
Just a few moments later, Zen'no stands from his position and walks towards the gates. Nothing about Captain Yugure's Lieutenant tells her that they will be denied entry. Exhaling deeply, Atsuko walks forward, expecting Signy to match her pace. Before entering, the Kiyoshi Lord's voice rings once more and it is oddly in tune with her own line of thinking.
”We’ll talk in more detail within the walls of the Seireitei. Follow me to the Central Seireitei, Lieutenant Ise. Uzu, accompany the subordinate of Seventh to Fourth with the body of the Captain please and report the results of the autopsy to me as well. No stone left unturned, that's a direct order. I trust Uzu greatly Lieutenant, if you have any in your own men, then we should get going.”
Originally, Atsuko intended to see the late Captain's body off at the Fourth Division's barracks. What had not changed, though, was her intent to have Signy work with Fourth to examine the body and take notes on the situation. The Kiyoshi had simply expedited this process, which was likely for the best. Atsuko shifts her body to the left, the corpse moves with her. Looking down, her eyes soften for a moment as she smiles slightly. Handing him to Signy, it almost seems as if she refuses to let go for a moment, but she ultimately relinquishes his body to her. Her right palm comes forward and begins to run through the dirtied hair of their late Captain. Slowly, she withdraws her hand without a single word. Looking up and directly at Signy, a solemn nod is given. With this, she is sure that the Hoshi understands what must be done and how much trust her Lieutenant is putting into her.
"Let's go, Lieutenant Kiyoshi. Don't fall behind, either."
With that, her image fades from existence as her image begins to dissipate moments after her last word to Shusuke. It was time to report to the Commander.

Watching his superior take control of the entire ordeal, it somewhat astounded Uzu to see the duality within one of his top ranking officers. It had only been One Hundred Years, but the division had seen much change and improvement over the course of the short period of Captaincy while being led by Yasu Yugure. Taking charge and immediately reforming the reporting station of the barracks while also assigning Shusuke to oversee most of the day-to-day operations concerning the Four Great Pure Soul Gates (四大瀞霊門, Shidai Seireimon) and some divisional matters. Things have run so well, she manages to find the time to still raid and pillage the other barracks’ food storages while also scheming the storage of her own personal items within those boundaries. Much to the chagrin of the division who was also slightly closer in age to their very Captain, was able to look to Shusuke for a more ’clear’, he too however wasn’t also without his quirks, often being found creating a black plumes in various areas of the division do to his recently found smoking habit. An avid sake drinker as well, can often be found asleep at the nearest cart closest to the barracks.
A strangely flowing division nonetheless, they are still one of the harder working always seeing to it that their tasks are completed with little haste. Shusuke was talking with the Lieutenant from the Seventh Division for a short time, he knew he was only gathering intelligence based on the flow of conversation, he started to ready himself if the shinigami who wished to enter posed any violent threat to the Lieutenant. Thankfully, it wouldn’t be necessary. Zen’no caught the attention of the Lieutenant and they discussed things in private once Shusuke got the news of Captain Itsuki being murdered. Uzu took a closer look and saw the bright orange hair on the head of the corpse. Eyes widening, he was instantly flashed back to the news of Captain Kojima’s passing at the First Division. Only in one hundred years, two Captains have been killed, and one one of them by design it would seem. He clenched his fist, and was starting to feel helpless, he wished to do something...Something that could help!
“We’ll talk in more detail within the walls of the Seireitei.
His head soon snapped out of his distracted trance, he took in the orders from the Lieutenant and nodded his head in understanding of the task given to him. This was the most action the gates had seen in close to fifty years, and this was the most important task given to Uzu in quite some time. An exciting and important day, he intended to not let his squad down. The two high-seated members taking off with their masterful agility they would soon be nearing the Central Seireitei in no time at all. But he was now tasked with accompanying this woman to the Fourth’s barracks for an autopsy of the fallen Captain. He looked her in the eyes and stood up straight so as to look professional, as best he could with his child-like appearance unlike the seasoned gruff look Lieutenant Kiyoshi has seemed to perfect. He then motioned for her to begin their journey, he wanted to get to the Fourth Division quickly so as to report to the Lieutenant in a timely fashion.
“Well, I suppose we should get a move on. The Lieutenant' will want a report ASAP. We should get to Fourth’s barracks quickly.”
Only wishing to spur her onward, he began using his own shunpo to lead her to the Fourth Division.

Listening as the Kiyoshi spoke of talking in more detail within the seireitei, Signy relaxed a tad. Finally, about time he did his job and let us in. Despite her relief, something he said caught her attention more, the fact that she would be escorted. Did he not trust that she would do her job? Why did he need to know the results of the autopsy anyway? Shouldn’t that be information privy only to Seventh Division and the other captains? Her eyebrow twitched but she let her face fall blank as her lieutenant turned to her. Without even thinking, her arms raised to cradle the body. As Atsuko seemed to falter when it came to giving Captain Asakura’s over to her, a small twinge caught in Signy’s chest. She was aware of how close Atsuko was to Itsuki but she should have known she would have no reason to be hesitant. They’ll never trust me.
Give her time, Signy. She doesn’t know you like I do.

Signy glanced down at the captain’s body in her arms and before Atsuko pulled her hands away, she looked up at her, Shori’s lilac eyes staring into Atsuko’s. She nodded faintly to Atsuko to let her know she will take good care of him. As quickly as Shori had come, she was gone again, just as Atsuko departed with the Kiyoshi. Ignoring the presence of her escort, she turned her gaze back down to her dead captain, her eyes void of emotion. It was bizarre how fake he looked. Dead bodies always had a weird quality about them that made them appear almost clay, ashen and lacking moisture, almost as if she squeezed too hard he would crack apart and crumble into dust.
“Well, I suppose we should get a move on. The Lieutenant' will want a report ASAP. We should get to Fourth’s barracks quickly.”
As the underling spoke, her head snapped up, her eyes narrowed. ”I don’t care what your lieutenant said, you will stay in the back of the room during the autopsy. This is a matter for seventh and fourth division, understood?” When Uzu began to shunpo toward fourth dvision, Signy took off faster than him despite the added weight of the body. To her, Itsuki was almost weightless, maybe it was due to her own strength, or possibly her own beliefs pertaining to the soul and the weight it gives a body.

The Eleventh Division was never known to be a quiet or peaceful place. It is here where strength is meant to reign supreme, where the strong devour and consume the weak. It is a cage made to house the beasts of the Gotei 13. The sound of combat and violence constantly reigns prevalent from their grounds, and today is no different. Under the hand of its newest Captain, Omoni Hageshi, she moves to secure her second in command, to right a perceived wrong. For the others under her command, this is a form of entertainment to be had, for what is better to these barbarians than a good fight? The battle between the new Captain and former Lieutenant of Eleventh Nibui Ueki was already rising towards its peak when another volatile member of the Eleventh joins. The reiatsu of three different individuals, like an uncontrolled fire within an enclosed room begins suffocating those incapable of enduring the pressure.

”Captain Hageshi-”

A voice cuts through the pressure, the aggression and hostility with a single form of address. The voice stems from an individual that is found standing next to Captain Omoni Hageshi of Squad Eleven. When exactly he arrived and how long he has been there was a question that, perhaps at another time could be mulled over. A single glance and everyone present knows that he is an agent of the Onmitsukido, and given the crimson of his attire, he has come from the Inner Court Troops. This meant there was a message to be delivered, one for Omoni.

”-you’ve been ordered to report to the meeting hall within the First Division. Such is the will and command of Captain Commander Kagayaki by way of our Captain.”

The agent pays no mind to Nibui or Hiroka, it is as if no one else is present or exists besides Omoni herself. With his objective completed he bows his head in respect to the Captain, and upon its completion he is simply...gone. Unbeknownst to the new Captain, she is not the only one receiving such a visit at this moment.

This was it. This was the kind of moment the giantess lived for! Two extraordinary Shinigami boasting overbearing strength both in physicality and spiritual power. Two fearsome opponents locked in combat that of which she hoped would never come to an end. In battle, even as a young Lieutenant of the eleventh Omoni had never been one to seek out a kill. Sure, she spent most of her time searching for a good fight but almost always unless she was facing a hollow she left her opponent alive and kickin’. This was due to a silent code the woman lived by for as long as she could remember. It wasn’t any fun if she couldn’t get a rematch especially since she left them alive so that they’d have time to improve before she could challenge them again. The desire to fight was so potent it’d driven the woman into some very sticky situations all of which managed to settle themselves without harm to her but to her surroundings and enemies the same could not be said.
" Then come and make it a reality!"
Now he was talking! In response to his answer, her own volatile Reiryoku continued to swell and the earth at their feet peeled apart and lifted into the air completely void of gravity. It’s rumbling caused the floor beneath their feet to quiver and the growing crowd of spectators to part. However, it wasn’t because of any sort of circumstantial intimidation but the arrival of a stranger. At least, he was definitely a stranger to heranyway. That wasn’t all though, much to her surprise the intrusive oddity with a scar across his eye not only appeared to demand the attention of the rowdy crew indicating that he must have been one of the higher seated officers but also without visible hesitation crossed that sacred line Nibui had drawn in the sand. First, there was silence shared between the duo made trio out of sheer disbelief that someone would knowingly interfere in what was obviously a one on one brawl but then Hageshi spoke up shattering that quiet.
5355015ff523332279055fc9e7c7c919.png

“ Who n’ the hell are--”
”Captain Hageshi-”
“ Hm?”

This was getting a little out of hand now. It seemed that it was her destiny to be interrupted not once but twice in the same instance. This time though, by a sight she was unfamiliar with. Luckily for her she didn’t have to wait long for the Onmitsukido agent to explain the reason for their sudden appearance onto the battlefield. Unfortunately, the longer he talked the more it occurred to her that the fight she was hoping to have was going to be cut short for the time being. Suffice to say, she was irritated and her face wasn’t the best at hiding it.
“ -you’ve been ordered to report to the meeting hall within the First Division. Such is the will and command of Captain Commander Kagayaki by way of our Captain.”
The old man wanted to see her? That was weird. Well, actually it wasn’t considering she was now the Captain of the eleventh division and so that would mean her place was to show up whenever he summoned her. Her and the other leaders of the Gotei thirteen. If she was being honest she wasn’t completely comfortable with her new title and its pros or cons. Even so, Kagayaki needed her there so there she would be. It really was as simple as that considering the two were good friends and shared a mutual respect for one another. As long as the other were able they’d answer each other’s calls. That was good enough for her. With a final glance up and down of Hiroka, Captain Hageshi tore Namakizu out of the ground and swung it up where it could rest across her shoulders. From there, she turned on her heel and headed off in an entirely random direction and as she did she called back to Nibui.
“ You heard em’ LT. Let’s go.”
Who was the Lieutenant? Who was her second hand? Since the beginning of their interaction only one person should have been able to identify with that coveted title and she fully expected them to follow her and preferably right her path so she didn’t end up getting to the meeting hall incorrigibly late. In her own unique way this was Hageshi officially naming Nibui the Vice-Captain of the eleventh, that is...if he wanted it. As for her? Well, as usual the stubborn mule had already made up her mind. Resistance was futile.
