While he awaited for Hanabi to help him out a little bit he reached into his haori pulling out his gourd of sake popping the cork off and takes one big gulp of it. A small belch soon escaped him afterward before taking another swig right after again just casually listening to what he said curiously. Most people who took the first glance at Shoumetsu would just think he was nothing but muscles although he was a great strategist and very intellectual. Outside of being knowledgable on swordsmanship histories on both Soul Society and World of the Living, he had researched geophysics. He treated everything he did seriously as art to be appreciated so just not learning about how to properly use his zanpakuto abilities but how the natural forces work also.
” Everything is described in detail along with the payments. My name is Shoumetsu from the 11th division but I have other things to take care of. If you ever want to see what true strength you know where to find me.”
Knowing that what he needed to be taken care of was finally in the right hands to get it done he did a small wave to Hanabi before heading out. The fun he would have once all of this was finally dealt with was going to be endless and more than wait for the worth. A wide grin swept across his face full of excitement though unfortunately needed to take care of the rest of business for his squad. Not sure really how much time passed inside the 12th division, maybe a couple of minutes or an hour possibly had gone by who knows. Reaching in the other haori pocket he scavenged around it for a bit until pulling out two food items one seemed to be his steel dangai stick with treats still on them however covered in lint, and a stale cupcake in a hand made package. Enjoying his self-made treats stale or not he was going to eat them with his sake while making his way back toward the 11th division.

” Send word to the 8th division members that we request some of their finest workers to come to help the 12th division on upgrading our barracks. We will be having everything even the simplest stuff replaced with weights.”
After reaching his barracks he immediately started to bark out orders to some of the squadmates who greeted him to send out a jigokuchō to the 8th division. With the 12th division in the same general area as their squad getting there and back quickly wasn’t too much of a hassle for him. Over the next couple of days, the 11th division barracks were about to be undergoing a nearly complete revamp that definitely was going to hurt their budget. Four days had passed since the togabito attacked the human world yet still there haven’t been any other signs of their activity. He let out a sigh of boredom with his Lt Jinnosuke in the meeting, and unaware of what or where 3rd Seat Hibiki might be left very little for him to do. Well, that gave him time to do his favorite time outside of training and battling; cooking. Everything seemed to slow down for a while he decided to use his free time to spend the day relaxing and whipped out some ingredients to try an interesting recipe of sake frosted cookies. Why not enjoy the best of both worlds? Savory alcoholic sweets were under the making seeing he finally had time to himself with other people busy. The entire time he was baking his sweets Shoumetsu gulped down his sake until his gourd became emptied before refilling it again with rosy red cheeks as he got a little drunk.

"H-Hey! Come back here! You don't get to just order me around and walk away!!! I-- I need your measurements and stuff! Come on! HEY! BLITHERING SWORD MONKEY! I WILL COME AND FIGHT YOU WITH THE VERY THINGS I INTENDED ON MAKING FOR YOU HOW ABOUT THAT?!"
She was throwing a fit like a child as the man walked away, leaving Hanabi to her devices, while she just crouched down and rubbed along those horns that stuck out of her head. She was mumbling to herself, cheeks puffed out with air, in a distinct pouting stance.
"Stupid sword monkeys, always swinging those things....simple minded and, ugh! They have no patience! That was the pot calling the kettle black.
"Uh, lady Hanabi, it seems that Kuroryu is unconscious from your attack on him, but we will get him back up. That said, would you like us to collect your things and get things sorted for your research?"
"Bah! Who does he think he is?! He is not my superior! I bet I could beat him in shogi!"
"Great, we lost her again..."
"FIE ON THAT SWORD MONKEY! I WILL MAKE A GREATER VERSION THAN HE CAN DREAM OF! Those arms can wait, the haori takes precedence."
She collected the garment, walking off with it in her arms to her private laboratory and firing range. She had plans to test out the upper limitations of heat and different styles of flames that the object could withstand. She had many ideas for the various tests she could run. The first test was to see the limitations this garb could go to, and whether she could improve upon it after.
For the next few hours, she would be spending time testing out the various parameters of the togabito garb: its durability to trauma beyond flames, she wanted to see how it could be cut, stretched, torn, if at all possible. With enough force for sure, but if she could take samples of it and cordon it off into segments, that would make testing it much safer.
One thing was certain during her tests, this special cloth was resistant to gas, chemical and electrical fires. The fire from a kido, a shikai and a bankai would have to be tested next. She looked to her zanpaktuo for a moment, "Were we on better terms we could achieve that bankai state and get things going with this, but alas, I must be social..."
She sent for a messenger, wanting to send a hell butterfly out to the various squads. She needed to see if there was anyone who could use a kido above level seventy that had an attribute of fire, or anyone with an attribute of fire to their bankai. Whoever answered, if anyone answered, she would have managed to section off the garment into various squares.Several set to the side to study their molecular construction.

Sometime during this, the reserve members of the twelfth division and Hanabi were going through the various tests that the petite girl was thinking of. There was the call to go to the world of the living and help with a barrier, along with Hell anomalies that were causing a problem, but she had something more important in front of her right now.
The haori of the togabito that was under a microscope, trying to zoom in on it and see if there was something special in the weaving of the fabric. Ten times, one hundred times, one thousand times zoom. As she looked at the finite weaving of the fabric she found...there was nothing special about it, it was woven like any sort of cloth, like the haori of the arrancar or shinigami.
Bah, moving on, she set up a strong and small jet of flame against the fabric while it was under the microscope. The way the flames touched the fabric, and just sort of bent around it, or were warded back eventually, it was something that allowed them to be protected whenever they regenerated in hell, or to avoid being detected by the wardens of Hell.
"Hell's Flames research log, zero-zero-one: I have vivisected and sectioned off the Haori into four square inch segments, some into one inch square segments, it seems that these fabrics are durable enough to resist flames and other forms of heat, which is to be expected. That said they are not immune to other forms of trauma, though the amount of trauma to produce a tear requires the force of a third seat or higher and a gifted one at that. Hypothesis: the way these fabrics work is different from what we so, if that is so, there must be a different style of molecular structure to them. End of log."
Hanabi wanted to see how the fabric stood up to various forms of fire, accelerants and the like.
"Lady Hanabi," her thought process was interrupted for a moment as one of the reserve members came in, "we are setting up communications with the members that are in the world of the living, Sir Nyaraku is out there as well."
"Oh! The Good Sir is?" Hanabi had an admiration and respect for that bug-eyed man, much to peoples' confusion, even through the insults she was given or dismissals, she always found his research method admirable.
"Uh, yes, would you like us t-" the person was pushed to the side as the petite girl ran up the stairs to fetch a list of notes.
"While I am gone, I want you to record the effects of gas fires, electrical fires and chemical fires. We need to find out why these things resist fires, and I need to see if they are resistant to other forms of fire more than others! Chop chop!"
Hanabi would move to the top of the twelfth division, the main floor, where a communications relay was set up between there and the world of the living. "Good Sir Nyaraku! Good Sir! I want to inform you I am holding the fort down here, and I have collected materials pertaining to Hell! I will be conducting research on the haori that the togabito adorn themselves with! All notes will be compiled by the time you return!"
She would leave the message for the man, running back downstairs to continue her test. She came down to find the random reserve member working on a piece of fabric with a bucket of water and an electrical current applied to it. It burst into flames, though that fire fizzled out quickly, perplexing Hanabi.
She walked over to grab onto the fabric, only to reel back as she was shocked on the hand, "Bah! it conducts electricity when wet and shocked!!! Fine! That just makes the notes easier to compile!"
After some time, she would fill out several more research logs.
"Hell's Flames research log, entry zero-zero-two: The fabric continues to perplex. It resists all forms of worldly flames and other states of trauma, that said, they adhere to the natural physics of the universe. Assumption: the fabric is spiritual in nature, and, being from Hell, can only be interacted with and enacted upon with traumas from other spiritual entities. Moving on, I will continue to test various chemicals and states of heat. Side note: had I the former captain's notes, this would be easier to study."
"Hell's Flames research log, entry zero-zero-three: Napalm is not conducive to proper results, though testing it out in one of the lower labs against the fabric of the togabito showed some results, the damage to the surrounding area was not worth it. granted, war time situations beget instances of destruction, though napalm's unnatural nature of being a manmade destruction would raise too much suspicion of used in the world of the living. Advisory: stick to spiritual means of combat. I will conduct research of various kido up to my limitations, I hope that Awai Chochin will work with me on testing out the flames of a shikai."
"La-lady Hanabi, why are you so intent on using fire on these garments?"
"Fire is one of the most common forms of spiritual energy in the form of kido combat, or weapons therein. You can see many shinigami favoring shakkaho. Cero from hollows produce a heat as the energy pulses out, though it operates differently. That said, Togabito have been reported wielding flames as their main means of combat. I will reverse engineer this god damned fabric so we can counter them!"
She sat down for several minutes, rubbing her horns as she took a moment to think. It would be a long time in the research labs.
About an hour later, Hanabi would be consulting her research notes again, compiling them further and further.
"Hell's Flames research log, entry zero-two-one: I have finally gotten around to testing out my own personal kido and inventions on this fabric! They are highly resilient but they are not immune to the powers output by myself, I had several other shinigami brought in from the fifth division and the eleventh division to test the upper and lower limits of damage potential with same numbered hadou and the like. It seems to be a direct correlation of spiritual power of the hadou and not JUST the number itself. Anything at level eighty or above would warrant enough damage to this fabric. I am making progress but there are more questions coming from the study of this fabric. How is it like an armor unlike our own haori?"
"Child, why must you continue to behave this way?" A voice came to her mind, causing Hanabi to look over to her sword in the corner. In her mind she saw the green woman, cloaked in Victorian era garments fit for a man, with an operatic mask over her eyes. Awai Chochin wanted to talk to her.
"You know this is not your true nature, you need only take the stage as a proper fighter. You'd be happier in any of the other divisions, why must you continue to do this? Child, why do we no longer enjoy the stage together?"[/color]
"I-- I have other duties to do, and I cannot be Peter Pan at all times. Someone has to manage the expectations of innovation, if we get far enough then maybe I'll think about transfe-"
"Pish and posh. You and I both know, Child, that your innovations will never stop, you wish to master the fires of the cosmos, and I admire that, yet you never stop for yourself. Where have our fun times gone?"
"I...Can't talk about this right now, but, I need your power. Do you...want to uh...do you want to let loose?"
"Come now, we both know the proper phrase."
"Please take the stage with me, my dear Awai Chochin." She walked over to her zanpaktuo, lacing her fingers along its handle before twirling it around overhead. From the handle down it turned into a discus shape in her hand with a string, the other portion of her zanpaktuo flung through the air as it glowed and turned into a similar shape as the first. Once the energy disappeared, she was holding two yoyos from one original sword.
"MARVELOUS this form is much more fitting for one such as us! Let us go conduct your tests to your heart's content! Set the world ablaze with your performance my dear! The world is your stage! The audience will stare in awe as you set everything abla-"
"This is for a little bit, but, it feels good again." She commented while walking off from her lab to one of the larger testing rooms in a lower floor. All the while she was doing yoyo tricks, the weapons growing and shrinking as they moved away from her hands and shrank back down.

Within the barracks of division 13, several unseated awaited the return of their newly appointed Lieutenant. Seeped in some of their minds were the thought of an Oda of all people as the Lieutenant of Division 13; some thought it would be a bad thing considering their violent past, others were afraid of it for a different reason entirely. Katsuo's brother was a captain, sure… but he was also now a "monster".
"Yo, you think Katsuo will turn into one by being around him so much?"
One orange-haired Shinigami exclaimed. The large brown haired shinigami next to him just shrugged and continued standing guard at the gates with this younger shinigami. He wasn't much for talking, the orange-haired lad did most of that.
"Man… it's quiet today huh?"
The young Shinigami jinxed it… soon the entire barracks came to life, with alerts and alarms coming through their DeishinrikiX phones. One girl fell out of her bed from taking a nap with a yelp as her squadmates turned their faces to the phones.
Quote:an unknown number of Menos Grande class hollows have invaded, requesting immediate backup Karakura Town!
"Holy cow!"
The orange-haired lad exclaimed. He looked up to the larger barracks guard as the man held their doors open. The group of several Division 13 members all met in the courtyard, where a higher ranking officer began a small debriefing.
"Alright guys this isn't a drill; Hoshi-san is in trouble! Let's get going. Every able body through. You, and you."
The man pointed at a dark-haired girl and the orange-haired boy from the gate.
"I'll need you to meet with Lieutenant Oda, and inform him of the situation if he doesn't already know; if he does then, tell him we'll all meet at 5th, and await further instructions. Good luck!"
The two younger shinigami nodded, and as most of them headed to 5th, these two in particular headed to 1st, to deliver a message to their new lieutenant. For the barracks this posse of 13th members went by, all they could do was wonder what exactly was going on.

All you could see from the young Soul Reaper as she bounced along the roof tops of the soul society buildings was a blur and maybe a flash of blue from her hair as she flashed-stepped in a impressive speed. Himari loved it, it was one of her favorite things. She felt free while doing it, but, now she felt a burst of anxiety as she made her ways to the Twentieth Divisons barracks.
She had not stepped foot out of the 5th since the whole Rukon thing happened, and she had never been to the 12th before. She knew that it was indeed of house of all the scentific research of the Gotei 13. She also had heard rumors of the some of the squad members being on the weird side, and liking to do his researching on other people...Himari didn’t want to be on the other end of his sword if she could help it.
Also, this was her first mission alone. Without Arashi, without the captain, alone. Even though the task was easy enough, she was a little anxious of screwing it up as she did before with the Rukon district…
Come on, Hima, can’t alway go back to the past.
And plus, she had men with her, awaiting her orders. There was no Lieutenant Arashi here to clean up her pieces.
So, this is what lead the young girl to land almost confidently in front of the gates of the Twentieth, the men Arashi had sent with her closely behind her.
Himari_1.png

She slowly looked around. Silence. She had suspected someone was going to be here ready to let her in. But, there was no one. She sighed,, walked over to the gates that blocked the Division to the public. She looked at it for a few minutes and then pulled on it.
The gate didn’t move.
Agh
She couldn’t believe this. Did Arashi send her here without telling them she was on her way here to take the God-Kings finger to the first Divison? Did they not know she was coming? And now she was going to be stuck out here. Her anger rose.
She thought back of the Kido Corps members all ready for them at the Head Quarters, all ready for Arashi. Was it because she wasn’t of a higher rank that they didn’t care she was out here? Did they send someone else? She was suddenly boiling. The thought of stroking her Zan to calm her down was out of the window, the thought of men there watching her every move was out the window as she marked up to the gate, her face flushed with anger.
”Hey! Is this the way you treat someone who is visiting your division?! A locked gate! I am sure you heard I was coming! Himari Shimizu of the 5th! I know I am no Lieutenant Arashi but he is the one who sent me here and I think this is outrageous.
Her shouts bounced the area. And she didn’t care. Her whole body was shaking in anger.
