After making his move against the Arrancar, Tenzen never once turned to face it. His focus was on his next target, the one creating an seemingly endless amount of spikes. Behind him he heard the sound of flesh and bone being broken, the Arrancar had plunged its hand into its chest. The Captain had not fully turned a blind eye to the being as he was able to sense its spiritual energy being used for something, whatever he was doing… Was wrong.
Caught Unawares
This Arrancar, seemingly a man of science, was thinking too hard about the situation, thinking too hard about what had happened to himself. Observation/questioning is the first step of the scientific method and it is a step he wholly skipped. That flash of light, like light reflecting off of metal, was just that, the light of day reflecting off the blade of Tenzen Oda’s Zanpakuto. The cold chill then? It was no Kido, no spell of any kind; it was the cold chill of metal running through his neck. A master of Zanjutsu Tenzen’s attacks are swift, precise and waste no effort on needless movements. The Hierro never stood a chance against his Zanpakuto ability which his blade constantly emits without end. All of this culminating to one swift decapitation maneuver that the Arrancar never was braced or prepared for.
After plunging his hand into his chest the Arrancar looks down at his wound and finds himself unable to stop looking down as his body drifts further and further away from him. Before he knows it his decapitated body and the Captain are both visible, maybe it is at this moment he realizes what had just happened. Tenzen does not speak during battle, if he does it is to give orders or cast a spell so there would be no explanation for the Hollow he is to die in a state of confusion and distress.
Shortly after this Tenzen begins walking away from the now dead Arrancar and towards Izanagi’s location.
Step
Step
Step

The Captain takes his time observing the flow of battle, looking for the right moment to seize that flow and take control of it for himself. He patiently observed Izanagi’s actions, he needed not communicate with the Kyoshi directly, just let him fight how he wants, what is comfortable for him. Out of nowhere more spikes erupt from below the man and fire multiple Cero at him, Tenzen’s sense’s locked onto the creator of these spikes and it was almost there, the flow of this battle was forming and edging closer to his grasp. He began to lean forward, on the balls of his feet with anticipation and the opening arrived. Izanagi, with the use of his own Zanpakuto, repelled the attack back at its sender.
There it is.
The flow of combat.
Fully materialized and grasped by the Oda, the pace of this fight is now his to control.
A white light emitted from the Captain’s Zanpakuto as he vanishes with Shunpo only to reappear behind the spike creating Arrancar. His next move sees his blade glide through the air, there is no extreme amount of force behind it as he aims for the Hollow’s left hip. In a swift beautiful motion his blade zips upward diagonally and is now above the Arrancar’s right shoulder. The matter erasing mist of Kokūzō followed the path of his blade creating a golden wall between him and the Hollow, should the beast avoid his strike Tenzen will suffer no damage from the incoming void and Cero. This pincer attack aims to claim the life of the other Arrancar who dared invade the human world, they should have stuck to their sands.

Galia could survive his own Cero, by creating spike walls of equal strength, but with their thickness doubled. As the cero pounded upon the spike walls in the front, Galia quickly sensed the blonde-haired shinigami coming into the vicinity of his spiked forest. He had no doubt he was near, and quickly rose more spikes behind him. The spikes were several feet thick like the ones in front of him, and they all created a dark space all around Galia, who was in the center of this spike hut momentarily. He moved toward the spikes to his right to touch them and absorb himself into them, just barely in time to avoid Tenzen's pincer-like attack that came from the left. The attack cut more spikes than Galia himself, and the Arrancar disappeared into the dark crevices the spikes created. Between the spikes, the darkness made yet another Garganta. His reiatsu and ultimately location signal disappeared yet again. This time, for good. He was gone.
Tenzen would have needed a stronger, more rapid strike to destroy the base of the spikes Galia created due to their thickness, despite his ability to erase matter with his blade. Galia could create matter just as fast as he could erase, evening the playing field for Galia's escape better. Tenzen's pincer-like attack split a spike completely in half, as it finally broke apart when it's master vanished. once he'd look inside the space, Galia would be gone. Izanagi would have needed to make the cero stronger instead of faster to get completely through it, all the reversed Cero did was make several dents into the exposed side of the spikes, but none deep enough to go all the way through.
After Galia disappeared through the Garganta, this time for good, the spikes in the living world began to fade on their own, revealing just how massive the carnage left behind was. The victims of the spikes suddenly rained down from the sky, faster than their own blood thanks to gravity. Vehicles and city rubble fell to the ground.
The garganta opened onto Hueco Mundo's desert, Galia had a moment to breathe. He dashed out and sat in the sands for a minute, with a heavy sigh. He sat in the sands thinking over what had happened, and just how strong the enemies were. So… That was a captain… Galia looked around to see if anyone else had made it. Other than a few menos and lower level hollows he didn't know. He calmed down and sunk himself into the sands, making his way back to Las Noches.

There were no lies behind Izanagi's intentions, all the invading enemy will die, and even if it wasn't by his hands. And that's what exactly happened, the Arrancar who managed to stay alive and avoid Kiku's kido not only suffered from decapitation, unknowingly. Even Izanagi was unaware of what took place, though he knew it was the Captain's doing. Nevertheless, Captain Tenzen now left Izeel's headless body to fuel Jūryoku on the remains before he turns into nothing but spiritual particles. Instead of allowing said energy left wasted away, Jūryoku shall use it instead.
Only one more Arrancar remains on the battlefield, outnumbered, outgunned, outmatched. However, they had two options since they tried to sneak attack throughout the entire time Izanagi had arrived in the World of the Living. Would they continue their assault or high tail it? Ultimately, neither choice truly matters; Izanagi was sure that all enemies would die today. He will make good on that certainty, and the last remaining enemy present right now had to deal with their attack being used against them. Hundreds of ceros were being brought down onto the Arrancar, though they didn't do anything to counter besides put up a shield to protect himself from his attack in the front. They would genuinely make the mistake of thinking that the wall would protect them from the inevitable. Death is coming. Hiding wasn't going to stop that, running when there is nowhere to hide.
And yet, Izanagi caught a glimpse of the Captain making a swift move to end the enemy as well. In which Izanagi's orb never stop its path once its size became concealable to the naked eye. It was making a rapid beeline towards the enemy's direction whether the cero's broke through or not despite being created with a seemingly fierce penetrating force. The orb would reach the wall a second after the ceros collided with the bone structure of the wall. One by one, they crashed into the barricade made of bones, and yet the orb reached the center of the area where it did the most damage. And like before, the orb size change before a single individual could blink to a size that he has been using the entire battle when he needs it to absorbed attacks—pressed against the structure, as the barricade that stood as the Arrancar's "best" defense.
The integrity of this temporary protection was crumbling, breaking down, and being absorbed into Jūryoku. The secondary wall he would have just placed up would felt the effect of Jūryoku power. Its construct would also diminish before its overwhelming force before it even finished constructing to its full size. Even the Arrancar hiding inside would slowly feel a pulling sensation, incapable of allowing them to move freely from being so close to Izanagi's orb. The Arrancar would find that his so-called last resort of defense was feeble, much like himself. The moment Arrancar, Galia was susceptible, would be when Captain Oda's strike would meet the intended target. It would be that moment, Izanagi orb would diminish into nothing so the Captain would not falter into the void of Jūryoku.

Kokūzō (空, 'space', 蔵, 'repository'), the Zanpakuto of Tenzen Oda, has the ability to erase matter from existence. No matter how resilient or dense when his blade or mist makes contact with that object it crumbles, it is a force that cannot be halted once put in motion. Galia would not know this, he is ignorant to the workings of Tenzen’s Zanpakuto however he is not alone in that regard as there are many who know nothing of this man's ability. The Arrancar put his trust in his ability, as anyone would, that it would hold up against such a slashing maneuver that one would need a wealth of strength to shatter the defense. His trust and faith are tested and shattered by the absolute reality and ability of Kokūzō.
The blade makes contact with the defensive wall and cuts right through it as if it doesn’t exist. To counter this Galia would attempt to create more matter to stave off the effect, but how? Whatever Kokūzō erases is gone from existence, what does not exist cannot be repaired or fixed. The erasure acts like a virus, spreading until the target is no more, however when the spikes were opened up there was nothing there, only an opened Garganta leading to Hueco Mundo. In his haste Galia did not close the portal behind him and so the Captain had a clear view to the other side, to Hueco Mundo itself.
Furious
His prey had run off and like a switch being flipped Tenzen’s demeanor changed. Izanagi may have heard of the violent tendencies of the Oda clan but he will witness it up close and personal. Angered by the Arrancar’s cowardice the Captain’s reiatsu spikes, aiming his left hand at the Garganta with blue electricity sparking and churning around his left arm. A vein appears on his forehead, widened eyes fixated on the destruction of the Hollow and nothing else.
”Hadō #88. Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!!” (飛竜撃賊震天雷炮, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon; Viz "Dragon Strike Heaven-Shaking Lightning Cannon")
Painting the city in a flash of electric blue energy the Kido Chief fires the chaotic blast of energy into the Garganta. It hurdles through the space between the living world and the Hollow world until it exits in the latter. Rage and fury guides this blast, lesser Hollows caught in its path have not the resistance to halt it and are merely absorbed and destroyed by its charge. Galia took a moment to sit and rest, thinking he was safe because he was home. His own haste led to this, led to this Hado, that roars like a dragon throughout the empty sands, hurtling towards him at unprecedented speeds. His relaxed, unguarded nature leads to the spell colliding and exploding, rumbling Hueco Mundo with a massive explosion.
After firing the blast the Captain stood and watched the Garganta before placing a barrier around it. Should something return fire or try to come out of this Garganta they would need to get past the barrier. If they managed that, they would have to get past Tenzen Oda.
”Kiyoshi, contact the Gotei Thirteen, tell them we need a clean up and repair team here in Naruki City. The humans have already been secured and had their memories erased. After you contact them I want you and the Shinigami here, who are unoccupied, to perform Konso on the humans who lost their lives today. That is all.”
He gives out his final set of orders while he remains guard over this Garganta. He can't help but feel annoyed that a fight escaped his grasp. Perhaps he should begin taking into account his targets may try to flee rather than fight to the death. Or maybe he should just kill them before they can run.

It was too late for Galia to feel Izanagi's orb pulling him. All Izanagi was collecting were pieces of a fallen kingdom. The spike forest remains temporarily protected Galia from his orb long enough to slip through the garganta in the shade at the base of the spikes which Izanagi had no time to break before he ran given their distance apart. Galia had slipped through that garganta in time to witness his forest crumble to the gravity attack, and erosion that was Tenzen's Zanpakuto.
He would soon realize he took a breather a bit too soon, when Tenzen cast a Kido spell into the Garganta, that cut through hollows and was headed straight for him. Witnessed by his peripheral vision was a flash of bright light, and he had seconds to think, and a pure instinct to survive took over.
Galiasuprised.png

He did the quickest option he knew out of pure animal instinct; to suffer the least amount of damage from this attack. Sink himself deep within the sands. The attack split the sands and caused a stir of dirt and debris through the garganta, and for a while it was going to be hard to tell if the Arrancar had survived this. The sands would reawaken as he moved through the sands fast enough to avoid the huge majority of the damage, but his Hierro was charred, along with his Kimono. Sure, the burns hurt… but it was better to live to fight another day than it was to die… he wasn't useful… dead.
He looked back through the garganta above and growled back at Tenzen as it Closed. He quickly sunk back into the sands and headed back to Las Noches. Everything that happened had trailed through his mind several times over. If he was to survive he needed to eat more, make himself stronger. Maybe one day he could take on Tenzen for real or die trying but today wasn't that day. He had to get back. Of all the lessons he learned today, one was Captain blonde man bad, erases stuff… and the other was close garganta after leaving. He disliked being scorched.
